Crap!  Sounds like I gotta see momz......at least I will have a good dinner lol:-)

Sucks I gotta lose a few hours of work though:-(

Been running this Gridseeds remotely for a few months now with Minera and so far have not had to go and fix anything on site so I guess I cannot complain too loudly.  Has worked well just logging into her computer via TeamViewer to control my Gridseeds over there.  Always nice to visit with momz anyways!

Thanks for your reply bud!!

Ok just read the whole forum.  Yawn.  Smiley

I just installed Minera onto my RasPi B+.  Came up like a champ.  I can log in via the web browser, SSH to it etc...

The problem I have is that any change I make in the settings pages do not stick.  I log out, come back and its back to the default.

Plus I can not get any miners started.

I am sure I have done something wrong here, but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you make a change, hit save and it takes you to the mobile miner settings, clear the E-Mail and go back up and hit save again.

THANKS!

I would never have guessed that.  Seems a bug.  Hopefully will get fixed. :-)

Again many thanks.

This indeed did work.

But how do I get it to see the BFL miners that are on the USB connectors on the RasPI B+?

Edit: Solved this.  Needed to select run as Root in the miner.  Now it's fine.

Next question... :-)  I am seeing off of two BFL's one a single and one a double something that looks like half of the expected Hash Rate.  I was getting double when it was just connected to a PC that I had running, bitminter's java miner.  I noticed that the "Frequency" was unknown in the dashboard.  Is that a problem?  Do I need to set that to something?  Or is there something else not working?

:-)

Thanks

@michelem, AM just released their branch of cgminer, which supports both Tube and Prisma: https://github.com/blockerupter/cgminer

Could you include that one in Minera?

if you specifically need that branch, you can ssh in and build it from github and then replace the supplied cgminer with it.

If my advice has helped you out, feel free to throw some Satoshi's my way!

I dont't have any miner yet, but I'm interested in the AM Prisma. The point would be not to replace the stock cgminer but add the AM cgminer branch to the selection.

It's what @CrazyGuy did here, but from what it looks like he is only going to give that RPI image to his customers, and it's such a waste of resources if everybody else has to reinvent the wheel all over again.

Speaking of reinventing the wheel - shouldn't they submit a pull request back to CGMiner so that it can be included upstream instead of introducing Yet Another Miner Fork?

Good point, I've just posted that in the official Prisma thread.

hi, with minera, and can do more work gridseed 5 chip on different pools at the same time?  as it does for example zeusminer

no one has ever thought to minera?
minera  and the program that I prefer, the only one that has a higher yield with gridseed. shame they do not have the possibility of being able to simultaneously manage multiple pools, one for each miner.
cointellect requires max 4 accounts per ip.on using four different accounts with different addresses you now have a yield much higher than the other pool. doge or euro payments on paypal.
Use zeusminer with raspberry that can use more pool time.with no gridseed...blizzard.
but as I prefer software minera.
sin that can not be done.4 gridseed with minera would be perfect

Can I know how to reproduce this bug? I would like to fix it definitely, can you explain me a bit more? Thank you!

I'm using win7 64 bit.  If I add a pool, then hit save or save/restart it drops to the mobile miner settings.  Mine says blade, I have to clear that (make it blank) then save and everything works.

wget works on the main pool now Smiley

default donation pool is still useless on my ~50MH rigs. My own ghash username works ok, is vardiff turned on? Or maybe it stays low difficulty when multiple users of varying hashrates are connected.

I am using a RasPi B+ with your image.  Put onto the SD by ApplePi-Baker.  Works great.

But when I go to change anything in settings I would click save, be taken to the mobile miner each and everytime.  The answer was to delete whatever is in the mail field for mobile miner and save again, then everything works great.

My only issue is that BFL's units seem to hash at a slower rate than they did when using with other software.  Using CGMiner. Anyone with thoughts?  Sorry to mix the two issues.

A new question. :-)

Has anyone directly hooked up to the cointerra miners via USB?  The BeagleBone died and I figured I could just hook directly to the USB connectors on the miners.

My RasPi see's the connections, but I can't get them connected to minera?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I still can't replicate this issue. Can you (who has this issue) give me a complete Minera export file? Or can you explain me each field you have in your settings to replicate it?

I have experienced this MANY times with Minera, is a very minor bug so never really mentioned it......but Miner will do this sometimes with both the Email field and the selection where you choose the coin to monitor, can't remember the name of that section as I don't use the feature.  It is always an easy fix, if it drops you down to the email field under the mobile settings after trying to save your pool info, just enter a valid looking email and save that section.....then Miner will allow you to save your pool info and restart the miner.  If it drops you down to the coin selection box, just choose any coin combo and save that section......it will then allow you to again save the pool data.

This problem had been happening to me since I started using Minera and has continued through all the updates since, but has been very intermittent and a very easy workaround....I suspect it may be difficult to reproduce because of this but you are definitely not crazy:-)

On another note, I was able to fix my Gridseeds the other day at my moms.......I realized in fixing them though, that I could have done it remotely.  I found that something in the data I previously saved from the Auto Tune feature got messed up during the that upgrade, only 2 of my 6 sets did this....the other 4 sets upgraded and came right back up with no problem.  I realized this when the first set I tried to fix by re-loading the SD card from scratch would not re-start the miner after I copied that old saved auto tune data.  The second set that was down, all I had to do was remove that data and turn the Auto Tune feature back on.

So essentially all I had to do to fix those 2 was to re auto tune them, easily done remotely.  All good I guess, momz made some scampie so I was happy:-)
