Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

I have a question about clam,
If i check the blockchain explorer it says that clam have a total supply of 15 million , but at coinmarketcap it says 1,5 million
Whats the diffrence ?, cause its a huge diffrence between a $2 mill cap or $20 mil market cap what is right ?
Its because the initial distribution of clam, there is a lot of clams undug that dont cont in the supply on cmc. Also such a shame the mouthfuckdog lost its shares. so there in old wallets around and people can still dug them up ? meaning coins suply can increase fast? You can vote for e2ef93da. Its change for limit digging. (From my point of view lesser evil than removing digging)

I dont believe so. Most coins would die with such supply injection.

There will be a full explanation and user guide available on the website once the client is squared-away.
I wonder if we should make an interim release with just Kef's CLAMour/CLAMspeech GUI changes merged in. xploited's "reindex" merge is big and largely untested. I don't know how long it will take before we are confident releasing it, or how we even get to that stage. Kef's changes are tiny in comparison - but maybe they depend on the changes I made which prompted the need for merging the reindex stuff in the first place. Also, I guess you have other stuff on your mind right now. Good luck with that! IIRC the only change I made that depends on yours is the GUI for the "getclamour" RPC method. So, just the get-petition-by-pid form. Now that I think about it, there should probably be a GUI for the "getsupport" RPC method too...hmm.

I just saw this comment in the code and was quite amused. https://github.com/nochowderforyou/clams/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L1097 //Sanity Checks, If they happen: "We're All Going To Die"
By the way, I'm forking the clam code because I need a functioning p2p rumour network for something I'm trying out. I've changed the default ports and magic number, so no one running clams should notice anything. I'm open to the idea of directly integrating with the clam network in some way, but let's wait and see. I'll post something more depending on whether things are successful.

CLAM has some nice features such as the voting system (tho some part of it is still in development to make it user friendly). The main reason why it is so high is Just-Dice. Being the usable currency for the iconic gambling site is worth more than pretty much any innovation those named coins have.

Ok thank you for your response, I understand it has value, and I guess everything has a value. However, I still feel like it is overprices ALOT as FCT is backed by a multinational Microsoft and so is ethereum, both coins a worth the same amount currently, in my eyes thats crazy.. Thanks for your response though, I will be back around when the price is around 50k

Just dice is one of the biggest longest running(honest) gambling platform in crypto world. JD in its history wagered probably over 100s of millions of $. What exactly can I do with factom?

Just dice is one of the biggest longest running(honest) gambling platform in crypto world. JD in its history wagered probably over 100s of millions of $. What exactly can I do with factom? All these alts are basically like startup tech firms. Factom has a vision that makes sense and will probably be realized eventually by someone, maybe them. Ethereum too has some great ideas. Clam isn't driven by a strong vision of the future from what I can see, and that's ok too. Eventually startups often fail. Many of these Alts may also. Some may catch on and get huge. It's hard to know. I like clams because of the staking and the tradability. It is loanable on Polo, one of the few. When loan rates are low, I can stake it. Factom is very young, and unproven. Ditto for Ether. I hope they succeed. But they really don't compete with clams. I'm not sure where clams may ultimately fit in, but as long as there is a developer focused on it, it will continue. I could see it becoming at least as big as LTC over time. Why not? What other coins stake as easily as Clams?

Many do but that is not the point. Its more about the options you get with CLAM. You can solo stake if you want or invest in gambling sites (such as JD and BitDice) where you can be an investor and still stake. If staking is not your thing there is always movement in the exchange so you can trade (people buy and sell for gambling). You can even lend the the CLAM out on Polo if you want and earn more that way. Its a good mix
