Can someone explain how the proof of stake thing works? How can I "stake" the 10 hypercrypto coins I have to get 5% extra, and how long will it take? I have the wallet, and downloaded the entire blockchain (took 3 days!), and all transactions are done, but I can't seem to get any to stake. I'm stuck at 0.00 hyper stake? Help!

You should have your wallet unlocked and wait 24 hours (from you last deposit) until staking starts. With only 10 HYPER in your wallet, you will have to be a little more patience until getting your first staked HYPER. Just wait.

It has been over 3 days with 10+ hyper in my wallet and no staking. I opened and closed the wallet over 5 times. I have the whole blockchain downloaded, and over 60 active HYPER connections. It has been over a week since my last deposit. What exactly am I waiting for to happen, can you explain why my share has not been instantly staked? The more HYPER that you have in your wallet the faster you will stake. 10 HYPER isn't much but there isn't a minimum amount required to stake, it will just take you longer to stake than someone with 10k or 100k.

Thanks pablo, but now I am having a different problem with the wallet... I can't even open it or use my pc! The only thing I do is start my computer up and run the hyper wallet, and my computer goes to a standstill. When I look in processes the hyper qt is using 15gb of my total 16gb ram? This is not cool. When I close it my pc is fine. I never had this problem with my bitcoin wallets, so it has me paranoid now.

I am aware that the wallet is a bit of a memory hog, (and I think there is a fix in the works) but 15gb sounds excessive.  Hyper on my pc is using less than 900 mb.  Maybe somebody else here can give you advice

True, that is the big problem which need to be solved in near future. My memory consumptions is near as pablocality is referring, i only open wallet from time to time and even than only at the last days of each months for the stakes. The solution is supposed to be near.

In regards to wallet memory usage around 900mb is the current usage and this will be fixed in a future wallet update. 15GB is crazy and I have never experienced or seen that myself! We also have a lite Electrum style HYPER wallet around the corner which means next to no memory use (or needing to download the blockchain) which will be perfect for gamers.

With every block being generated you are competing with people that have 1K, 10K, or even 50K or more in their wallet to stake blocks. So, you will get your 5% per month eventually, but with only 10 HYPER in your wallet your going to need to be very patient. Oh, also make sure your wallet is unlocked for staking

I wouldn't worry too much, any time real life catches up with HyperFuture and he isn't able to post for a couple of days a handful of people start to panic and the price drops, but it'll rise again once he's able to start posting.  My guess is he's trying to take some time out to work on the MMO

You can verify it's staking by plugging it into a TV with a mouse and looking at the client itself. Past that, just wait it out. Amount "unavailable" due to staking only happens when you have a staked block and are waiting for it to mature.

What about just using a HYPER explorer and see if stakes are coming regularly? That should do it. If stakes are not coming, well than you have a problem which need to be fixed.
