Try scanning the monero binaries from http://getmonero.org/downloads/ the same way.
If you don't get those hits, then something's fishy, since Aeon is mostly monero clone. Some malware scanners flag crypto mining software because botnets sometimes have a mining payload.

If you're using tor, you can also try getting the binaries without tor (or using a different exit node) to make sure you didn't download binaries via an exit node that MITMed your download to add malware.

I'm still here. Development has slowed down a bit due to some other priority, but it will continue soon.

Good, glad to hear that! Was just curious why there was no voice from anyone for a week.

I'm still mining. The diff is crazy low just now. Only wish I'd mined near the start with higher block reward. I'm looking forward to a GUI wallet. The only other respectable coin with a GUI using CryptoNote protocol (that I know of) is Boolberry, so it'll do wonders for this coin when it arrives. Nae pressure smooth Wink

Let's try to keep this thread on topic, and focus our enthusiasm on where AEON is going (admittedly slowly at the moment).

We have received some generous donations recently, increasing the project development fund by 100K+.

Reminder: the bulk of the fund is expected to be apportioned among the development team as incentive for working on the project, but there is a mandatory vesting period, including for the lead developer, which means the coins won't be moving at all for a long time (at least a year, but generally longer). Donating to this fund helps support the project but also help support the coin value by visibly locking up supply.

A portion of the development fund may at some point be sold and used to pay for project resources and direct expenses (hosting, etc.) but that won't be done at all until the coin has established a meaningful market value, and in the near term at least these expenses are expected to be very small. Currently the lead developer is paying all of the hosting costs.

another shit coin~~~ i will mine bbr better than this shit~~

Thank you for supporting BBR.

However I see no reason to attack other cryptonote coins. Those that offer innovative features will ultimately have a chance to succeed. There is no reason to assume there can only be one winner.

Based on the new roadmap that smooth has put together it seems he has some unique ideas

I agree with you bbreconomy and would say the same about those who attack BBR, at least those who do some without specific non-substantive concerns (serious criticism and debate is welcome here though).

Thank you for your support.

Hi guys, I manage the AEON OTC thread, click here to see the current bid/ask: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1068691.0

115850 AEON has been publicly traded through my escrow system. I'm getting 0.5% on it on the AEON side.
As promised, I'll donate 20% of the AEON profits to the dev team, so that means I'll donate 115850/1000 = 115.85 AEON

But... There has been some private trades and some larger fees than necessary, so I'll round it up to 200 AEON.
Money will be send in a minute Smiley

Some nice work to support view-only wallets announced by MoneroMooo over on the Monero thread. I'll be merging this into AEON soon.

Curious how much monero the core team donations wallet received ?

Now you can look!

With latest git:

./build/release/bin/simplewallet --generate-from-view-key 46BeWrHpwXmHDpDEUmZBWZfoQpdc6HaERCNmx1pEYL2rAcuwufPN9rXHHtyUA4QVy66qeFQkn6sfK8a HYjA3jk3o1Bv16em:e422831985c9205238ef84daf6805526c14d96fd7b059fe68c7ab98e495e5703:/home/user/monero-core-team-donations-watch

refresh

Enjoy Cheesy

I have just updated aeonpool.mooo.com to the newest code.
If you are seeing "undefined" in places where you are expecting numeric values, force refresh the page, as you might be using a cached HTML one, and the API has changed.
Pool and individual payments history is now available.
1% fee, 0.25% goes to the dev.

Any trouble, let me know either here on on Freenode (same nick).

Edit: payments are down for now. It looks like the pool has decided to send one payment again and again without updating balances, till the pool wallet was drained. I'm trying to work out how that happened.

Edit 2: I found it. I was using the transfer_split RPC command instead of transfer, to avoid failed payments when the outgoing tx was too large. This had been fine with the last pool code. However, the new pool code uses the resulting tx hash as a string, and transfer_split returns an array of strings. This caused an exception in the code, the payment process dies without having a chance to update the balances for the payments that just went out. The pool notices the process has died, restarts it, and the first thing it does is try to pay again. This happened in less than a minute, sending till the wallet was drained, at which point transfer_split didn't return any txes, and the crashes stopped.

All should be back to normal now, albeit with a nearly empty wallet and some very lucky miners.

Edit 3: I've changed the total fee to 1.5% for now (from 1%) to catch up a bit.

this could be better than monero,

with the plans we have we have a good shot of taking its throne, but its not about passing another coin but building good services for users to use and the plans here can get more interest. in it for the long haul

this should be trading on a exchange
