My Startcoin wallet is broken ,,, every time i start it i get ""startcoin wallet has stopped working windows can check online for solution"" I have deleted "peers.dat" file but no change , I have reinstalled new wallet but still no change

Anyone know what could cause this

Ok what is happening here is :- My wallet.dat file has become corrupt due to a bad windows shutdown/crash/power cut restart ....  the Startcoin wallet tells me this when I start wallet with my wallet.dat file inside the roaming folder (wallet will not run)

however if i place an older backup version of the same wallet.dat file in the roaming folder then the wallet run's it contains all my addresses ect but the balance however may be more or less than the corrupted wallet.dat file I only have a very rough idea of the balance of the corrupt file,    this makes sense to me as the power cut occurred between the older backup and the corrupted file were last edited

So How do I go about uncorrupting the latest  wallet.dat file that I have

I dont believe you have to the backup should be ok as its contains all your addresses let the wallet sync and all should be ok i think, after all thats what backups are for.

If you are unsure if the amounts are correct you can try to rescan the whole blockchain from the start using "startcoin-qt.exe -rescan" It will then read through all transactions and update the amounts (in theory at least). This can take some time depending on your HD speed.

I think that startcoin should come up with a platform that will use startcoin as blood and make using it profitable.

With such amount of money and connections why not to create some kind o exchange with stock-like markets of everything, similar
to Keisers http://www.hsx.com/

Imagine exchange where you can trade tokens representing  Movies, Musicians, Sportsmen, Brands, Celebrities even Politicians. Why not?

People love to gamble and they love to trade. No one really cares for instrinsic value, if there is chance of making real money through playing games.

Millions of people that are thinking about making money by daytrading are put off, by paying to brokers, laws, rigged markets and all kinds of obstacles.

Exchange like that with marketing could easily catch up. it could be new internet phenomenon if done right. Value of stocks would be in START and you would have to buy em with START of course.

Sure maybe it sounds dumb at first, but they have tech guys, lawyers and sharks with biznis talent, they could come up with something smart.

If they wont do it sooner or later someone will, they have resources to make it sooner and proffesionally.

Regarding the post about kim dotcom. I heard he was planning to crowd fund meganet on bitcoin capital where investors can use StartCOIN as well as other payment methods.  As to whether or not meganet is the same project as his open source cloud storage project is not clear to me

I am going to go out on a limb, like Crowdwhale a couple weeks ago, and call a bottom! Although a rebound with good volume or at least some sideways action at support would make it a safer call - where is the fun in that?  I have been watching the bid strength in the orderbook and this weekend was and still is much improved compared to last few weekends.  a week ago the selling over the weekend dropped the orderbook bids down to a measly 15-16 btc worth going into Monday. At present we stand at 26 btc worth of bids. Does it really mean anything, I don't really know but it obviously a positive development.

I will be really surprised if we see 00004 as some claim.  I think 0002 is reasonable floor (we are pretty much there) if I am wrong I will definitely take note of who called the 00004 and pay may more attention to there comments in the future

Trading aside, at the least level of effort i think it would behove all of us who hold startcoin to deposit a good amount at startjoin and earn interest so that we can give that interest away to projects. More projects getting backers and participating in the infrastructure (startjoin, startpeeps, startchat) is what will grow this ecosystem. Besides it is boring to just sit back and watch. Just a suggestion to anyone who perhaps has not considered this. The number of non-zero addresses of startcoin recently surpassed 10,000. Startjoin has 10's of thousands of registered users and you can see many projects even those that get fully funded only have like 40 backers.  What do these numbers tell us? I believe it says a lot of us could be doing a lot more. This is a great position to be in by the way cause there is so much potential to improve things.

I my opinion this looks very much like a turnaround event. There is always a washout of week hands before the next bull cycle starts. I can't say if it's over, but at least is can be over.

Not a single post has been made on btctalk by max or karl yet following has gotten so big..they must be doing something..right?. Besides..I like this price from investor point of view. My START collection has gotten a lot bigger..lets hope it doesn't get bigger and bigger while price goes to 1 sat

I was out until I saw the dip to 18k and bought in again from 18-19k...I think we're looking at floor right now...lets see how it goes. I don't know man..I don't think they would let it crash on purpose..may be Max is accumulating I can't find another reason and he hasn't commented anything on his twitter about price crash...but I can assure you that another pump is coming in a month or less and that would get us higher than 79k.
