0a) What to Expect (top)

The Gigampz is a breakout board designed to adapt HP's DPS-800GBA into a low cost option for mining. There is no soldering required, and up to 850/1000W
can be provided very easily (120/240V).  Four power supplies can be remotely monitored and controlled with one Raspberry Pi.

Rated Voltage12V
Rated.Current70A (120V), 82A (240V)
Rated Power850W (120V), 1000W (240V)

0b) What You Need (top)
You will need the following:

1) Cable Preparation (top)
DPS-800's utilise a goldfinger power distribution interface, which the Gigampz converts into a screw terminal interface. These can be used to directly power
miners with other screw terminals such as AntMiner S1s with simple cable, however this is not the norm. Most miners use PCI-E connectors, and so we need
to prepare and wire in some PCI-E cables.

Power Supply:
(Click.your.flag)

Power Cable:
(Click.your.flag)

PCI-E Cables:
(Click.your.flag)

The first step is to cut off the female end of the extender. You can leave a few cm if you feel like you might have a use for them in the future, although it will
shorten your cables. Peel back the braiding and strip about a cm of insulation off. I used common scissors, just be careful not to damage the conductors inside.

The three cable stands closest to the clip on the male end of the connector are the ground cables (negative), and the three furthest away are the 12V cables
(positive). Mark these red with some insulation table, a marker, rubber bands or such. This is very important, as if you get even just one of the cables wrong,
you will short the power supply and/or your miner. Check and double check this stage. Refer to the pinout diagram below if unsure.

Screw in the 12V cable stands into the 12V half of the Gigampz and the same for the ground wires. You can put two wires in the same terminal, just
remember to twist them together first.

Finally, push the Gigampz onto the interface of the power supply. It is possible to do this upside down, so make sure the top side of the power supply and
Gigampz are both facing the same way. Miners are powered on by placing the jumper onto pins 2 and 3, and powered off by removing it or placing it on pins 1 and 2.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

can you comment on the jumper setting/config please?

When the jumper is on pins 1 and 2, the PSU is off. Pins 2 and 3, the PSU is on. Also no jumper = PSU off.

Think ou could pull specs (LxWxH in millimeters) from those boards for me? I'd be happy to supply you with a 3d printed enclosure for the breakout board once ready.

Very nice guide as always Dogie!

Hi Folks!

Great tutorial, I do have a noob question. Got one rockminer and came with a cable that seems can be hooked up to this PS.
What is the correct wiring?
I am enclosing the picture of the cable that came with the miner, so what's the correct wiring?
one cable per pin?
