I've been sitting all the time waiting for the right moment to sell a stake at the highest point to buy more stakes at a lower price, if there will be a correction. but I guess I should still wait

i don't know, but have you read today about the Nxt 50 million hack on Bter?
Nxt its likely gonna freefall and i dont think its a wise move to hold  Nxt right now.

I have to agree with this statement.


It's very important NEM gets on as many exchanges as possible in it's infancy to prevent exchanges from potentially causing it harm through negligence or maliciousness.


Ideally, i'd like to see NEM on at least 2 or 3 popular, reputable exchanges on release.

Noone other than the thief can loose his NXT since it wouldn't have been a real rollback.
However form what I'm reading a rollback is no longer being considered anymore. I guess BTER is negotiating with the thief.

Hacker with 5% of NXT could easily harm the coin, dump the price, mess with AE and etc. There is a real concern about possible damage.

It's a lot of dough but it's nothing compared to the 30% of vericoin that were stolen from mintpal.
Vericoin had to rollback because the network would have been vulnerable. 5% of NXT won't endanger the network so a rollback would have been necessary purely to help Bter.

How many coins will each stakeholder get?

NEM will have a maximum of 4 000 000 000 coins, all distributed with the genesis block. Each NEM coin will be divisible to 6 figures (i.e. the smallest amount of NEM is 0.000001 NEM). The total supply will be distributed as follows:

• 71% - distributed to stakeholders on the final stakeholder list.
• 10% - reserved for the core development team to fund development of the NCC and NIS up to the release of V.1 of the blockchain.
• 10% - reserved for the core development team to fund development of the NCC and NIS after the release of V.1 of the blockchain.
• 5% - reserved for the extended development team; those who are working on promoting NEM and the NEM ecosystem.
• 4% - auctioned off at a later date.

From what you said here it seems that all POS coins all vulnerable to such attacks due to centralization of the funds on exchanges. To avoid this scenario it would be best for NEM to get on as many exchanges as possible from beginning or not get to any exchange never and be traded only in some kind of decentralized way.
I also hope NEM is immune to this kind of attacks due to POI algorithm.

But as far as i have understood, 50M of NXT were not owned by BTER and that rollback would if done, just affect those transfers concerning accused in the theft.

I'm no expert on that but I think with a large enough amount NEM would also be vulnerable.
You see POI still also uses POS as one factor. There are other factors but a huge amount will still boost your importance. POI adds other means of gaining havesting power but it doesn't completely remove POS.

Why not?.....it does have an OPPORTUNITY...to do so. Can you give us a FLAW that NEM has? Im no expert but I recognise lots of flaws in other alt- coins.
