And no, I don't think the kidnap of the boy was ok, I think they were psychopaths, and it actually saddened me greatly because I haven't heard in my lifetime of an Israeli executing such revenge.

those Israeli settler kids that were murdered weren't taken hostage but that's because they called the police.. if they hadn't called the police then they probably would have been hostages, because hostages are always better for negotiation.. but that's just my observation as an outsider..

the point is... its is the violence and mentality of both sides which is breeding more people like those Zionists and those Palestinian fundamentalists.

About children used as human shields, I wasn't saying that makes it right to kill children, it's just a practical view, war is no akin to "rights" just a sum of wrongs.
Eventually a CIVILIZATION would protect its children, so they aren't anywhere near a frontline.

Hamas does it because every time they poke the bear innocent Palestinians die. when innocent Palestinians die they leave behind family members. those family members become radicalized and live their life thinking of nothing but revenge.... and they become Hamas soldiers of the future.

this is how Hamas stays in power.

If you want the cycle to stop you need to to make sure that justice is carried out.. not retribution. you need to protect the innocent if you want to punish the wicked.. (im pretty sure it says that in all 3 holy books)

nobody will shed a tear when a terrorist is killed or jailed.
but when an innocent 4 year old child dies.... an entire community is hit by a mixture of grief and rage.

it may be a different topic but to illustrate my point.. just look at what has happened in Ukraine today.
the prevailing view is that some stupid Russian separatists shot down an airliner killing 300 civilians. Including a lot of people from my country. Now entire nations are in grief and angry... angry at the stupid separatists and angry at Russia.

senseless violence doesn't get anyone anywhere. The Russian government will face harsh consequences for their stupidity if it is confirmed that they supplied the anti aircraft missiles to those separatist thugs.

this has absolutely nothing to do with this topic but it demonstrates how easily things can get out of hand when ideology takes over from common sense....

I cant help but imagine what could happen in Isreal/Palestine if some idiot manages to hit a school or hospital and kill hundreds if innocent victims.

this is a dark day for the world..... I cant believe that it is 2014 and people are still fighting and bickering over tiny scraps of land like its 1096.

When they provoke Israel they gain:
1. More radicals to their lines by having casualties, and
2. Public opinion in their favor since they are the underdog.
3. They help their sponsors (various arab countries) by giving them political distraction that they can use to sway their own people (just look how many arab countries use Israel as the source of all evil in their campaigns).

This is all happening whilst their leaders are hiding safely inside bunkers or are simply outside the gaza strip managing their hotels.

people are fighting and dying on the streets for their ideology and the leaders pulling the strings are always hiding far away from the front lines.

the innocent die while the real criminals hide in the shadows and live in luxury...

right now a green flag flies over Gaza... and many people around the world do condemn the actions of Hamas.
but Isreal does not understand that by killing civilians (whether intentionally or not) instead of weakening Hamas all they are doing is making sure that if that green flag is torn down it will be replaced by a black flag.

the world does not want this... this is why they put so much pressure on Isreal to limit civilians casualties. The implications of this war are much bigger than simply Isreal Vs Gaza...
