20x Sapphire R9 290
4x Asus M5A99FX PRO
4x Corsair 750w
4x Corsair 1000w
4x HDD 32Go SSD
4x 4Go
4x CPU Sempron
Misc risers
Custom wooden rig, match anyone ? Cheesy

Delivering ~16.6 Mh/s
Burning ~6500W (distributed on 4 circuits of 10 amps each)

Working on a much better 19" rackable rig, cause this beast can't scale no more.
No way I'm going to put a third level on this thing Smiley

I like how the weight of the GPU are sagging the frame...

It looks like something on the other end of that riser cable was shorted out to a ground. Those first three pads/wires on the nearest side are 12V power, two of the three on the other side are also 12V. The 4th pad in on either side is a ground, none of those 12V pads can touch any of the ground pads or you'll see what you've got there.

There are no different risers, they all do the same thing basically. You may have just got a defective one.

Nice, but don't you think wood is dangerous in term of fire?

It's a good concern, but many people on here have built with wood. As far as I know, nobody has had a problem. The GPUs will stop functioning around 100c, well below the combustion point of wood:

The GPU stops working at 100c, but the voltage running all through that wood frame don't give a damn.

I'd be more worried about that setup breaking and dropping 5 grand on top of another 5 grand of hardware before I was worried about fire, though.

4x Drillbit 8-boards (bitfury chips) @ 81GH/s. They can overclock to 88GH/s with some fiddling around.

CPU: Intel Celeron G530 @ 1.6GHz
Mobo: Gigabyte H77M-D3H
RAM: 1x4GB Kingston DDR3 @ 1066MHz @ 1.2v
HDD: Intel X25-M G2 80GB
Case: Antec P182
PSU: Antec CP-850
Fans: 4x Scythe GT 1850RPM (two on each pair of 8-boards for extra airflow), 1x 140mm 1200RPM for support, and 1x 120mm 1300RPM for exhaust
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I will never buy Scythe fans again. They still make their money off selling cheap fans with terrible sleeve bearings. There's no reason they should be selling sleeve bearings. I bought 5 a while back, and 3 of them were dead in 3 months. The other 2 were on their way out. Bought some Cougar Hydro Dynamic bearing fans, they've been rock solid for 18 months now, and they're quieter!

Depends on the fan. The GT 1850RPM's are excellent, with ball bearings and below average noise levels considering the air they put out.

Those other fans are my leftovers from years ago. I tend to like sleeve bearing fans in my main PC because I'm a silence freak, and sleeve bearings have virtually no motor noise at low RPM's, whereas other motor types tend to have a tiny bit, enough for me to avoid them. But for a 24/7 mining rig and the higher temps that come with it, I understand the value of using good quality fans, hence the Scythe GT's. Smiley

I'm Still waiting for my motherboards to arrive, and when they do they will sit under the GPU's (I built two of those Kinex frames). The frames are actually strong enough to support being picked up  Grin Also sorry for the huge image.

K'nex. win!
