Payouts seem ok now so I'm still mining here but this whole s3 business is a real cock up.

The sooner concrete evidence is provided that proves some of these s3's went to genuine miners and not fake accounts or people working for / with the pool the better.

If this cant be given soon then its obvious what's really gone on here.

I am very anxious to see what the outcome will be of this. Can anyone shine some clarity on whats been going on with that?

I have an update for you. I have been in contact with UPS, who have assured me that it is impossible for them to "lose" any delivery details, in fact they are legally obliged to keep such records. They also assured me that any customer who placed an order with them is able to retrieve delivery details by simply contacting them. To quote the UPS rep: "If UPS don't have it on record, it is because they never sent it", So the claim made by ThePhwner that all details of sending the S3's is gone is yet another falsehood to add to his collection.

I have also been contacted by a user with some very solid proof that false accounts have indeed been used by the pool operator/s, details of which I will include in my scam accusation post when I have finished collating the evidence, of which there is plenty.

It is noticeable that the usual suspects seem to have gone very quiet here since pulling the plug on the non-existing "giveaway", the reasons for which I will also reveal in my scam post later. I offered them 48 hours to provide the proof requested by me and other pool users in an attempt to clear their name and put the whole, sorry saga to bed - but they/he chose to do nothing, and are now playing the silent game, hoping nothing more will come of it. This will not be the case & all will be revealed shortly - stay tuned!

That's a big stick you're swinging. I've disclosed who I am and all the facts involved. Who are you? Anyone important? Or just another guy who "assembles evidence" for more amazing forum posts.

At least I can say I tried. BAN has had some issues, so I threw in my hat to try. And you? Sitting back building your conspiracy file to "take us down." That's sure going to help not only you, but everyone mining at BAN.

So what do you think you get if you "succeed?" Glory? A free S3 of your very own? An appointment to the Almighty Crypto Council? Or the pool shut down, and everyone mining there being affected.

Reality check: s0br brought me in to do Tier 1 tech support about 10 days ago. I don't have access to most of the sensitive systems, or the S3s which he purchased out of his own pocket and had shipped to himself. Sorry you don't have the information you demand. But keep posting... surely it will make it happen.

If this cant be given soon then its obvious what's really gone on here.

I think it's pretty obvious anyway tbh, for various reasons, but there are some glaringly obvious lies that give the game away right here on the thread. I find it amazing that people are prepared to accept whatever they are told by anyone claiming to be a pool member/operator without the slightest shred of proof or without asking a single simple question for verification about anything. For example, a quick scan through the last 10 pages provides the following:

1) ThePhwner claims that s0br hasn't been online or contactable due to internet issues - despite the fact that s0br's profile history clearly shows that he has been online - why would ThePhawner say something so blatantly false? Why would s0br not say something about his being missing when he was online?

2) ThePhwner also claims that s0br is working hard on fixing the payout issues - this is impossible without an internet connection as he claimed. Why would he say that?

3) ThePhwner posts two completely different pictures here as proof of the miner he "won" claiming they are the same miner - why would he try to lie about it?

4) Why would ThePhwner say that all delivery records have been irretrievably lost, when all he has to do is contact the delivery agent? Why wouldn't he just do this & prove to everyone that they were sent?

5) If you won a miner & it was delivered to you, wouldn't you want to post a picture out of pure gratitude? If other users specifically asked you to tell them what delivery agent was used & could you please post pictures of your free S3 - why wouldn't you oblige & help alleviate other users concerns? Why would you ignore all questions & requests?

This is just a small sample of what I could see without really looking too hard over the last few pages, I'm sure that if you flick back a few more pages & studied a little harder at what has been said/claimed, it wouldn't be too hard to find many more basic errors/lies/untruths - which is obviously what the user "Really?" has done, and what everyone should be doing.

Running multiple servers for a pool costs money, 31 S3's costs money, paying people to help you costs money, paying a claimed (but as yet, not delivered since the pool started) % bonus to every user costs money, posting 31 S3's to users costs money - how can a pool possibly survive paying out more than they earn, giving miners away, paying for employees & postage costs for miners etc without either a very rich & dumb financial backer - or it being a scam?  Think about it guys - it just doesn't make any sense at all. The saying that "if it sounds too good to be true......it probably is" can be applied in big, bold letters here. All this, and I haven't even touched on the late/wrong/low payments that have been here since the pool first started........

The fact that all the sock puppets here have gone remarkably silent since the revelations says it all, they/he is probably busy right now trying to work out another crap excuse before the scam accusation pops up. I get the real feeling that they/he knows that the cat is out of the bag and are preparing to disappear sharpish......

Ask questions, not only of yourselves, but of everything that is going on here - then ask some more. It genuinely does not add up at all.

I can attest that the first winner did receive his S3 but he also was picked as a second winner a week or so later and has not received the second one yet? I was excited to see that I won one also the other day but now am not sure if I will get it or not. I understand growing pains and have lead a few people to the pool and yesterday worked on another friend to move his 10TH from GHash to here. I really feel the OP is trying to have success and this is not a scam and the pool has paid me over 1.15 BTC to date prizes or not.

It shows 2 new blocks found. I don't show anything paid out as well. I don't think I will move back until it looks like things are resolved. My unconfirmed for the new blocks are showing now.

Sorry guys.. I passed out! I was up trying to watch it so I can test the new payout system. It's running now and yes we did find 2 blocks... woo! Site will be up soon...
thank you.. Will return tonight when I get home.

Edit: coins hit wallet. All seems to be working as should. Thanks again

Yeah.. everything is fine... I just wanted to personally monitor something that handled something as important as payouts to make sure everything went without a glitch. After about 48 hours of being awake my eyes glassed over and I passed out... haha. We're miners first... this pool exists because we need it to... and everyone else who uses it will benefit too. We're opening a 5 megawatt facility in the next few weeks and will offer the most affordable miner hosting options in the industry to our users... Exciting things over here... not to mention hardware at 80 cents GH/s.

or it being a scam?

There are two issues I see with the argument being offered here

First, you are trying to prove something based on a lack of evidence.  That is to say, you infer that something fishy is going on because you can't find something - i.e. people posting pics of their miners, UPS records, etc

absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Second, a "scam" usually involves someone taking something from another and failing to provide promised value.

in this instance the pool operator is offering us payouts for mining.   we didn't buy into this with anything other than directing our hardware hashing power to receive the payouts

What you suggest may be a lousy business plan with his paying out more in expenses than he is getting but he hasn't taken anything from anyone.

if the pool fails to payout as promised - which it is and has been for more than a month for me now - then I will just go to another pool.

Please show me where I said proof of delivery was lost. This was never said. I said I didn't have access to it, since I didn't order, or ship the S3s.

OK, full disclosure time: it was Colonel Mustard, in the library, with the lead pipe.

Really I just don't get what the hell your end game is here. You created this account solely to flood this thread, which you have been doing pretty relentlessly, and in case you haven't figured it out yet nobody gives a flying fuck.  The pool has 1500+ miners who are being paid for their work and who are openly discussing and working to resolve problems when they do arise (myself included btw so you can save the sock puppet accusations).  The S3's you keep screaming about like a two year old were not a fucking raffle that you bought a ticket for and are now righteously demanding to see proof of a winner's list to.
You have no right to see anything from any of the winners, nor do I or anyone else. It simply isn't any of your fucking business.
If 22 of the 'supposed' winners were posting on here 50 times a day saying they never got them, etc. etc. then *MAYBE* there would be something to discuss but it seems like the only people who have a hard on here are you and one other idiot who may very well be another alias of yours, and you have the nerve to talk about transparency?
Get the fuck over it.  All winners got them, didn't get them, are getting them AND a free blow job from a porn star of their choosing, whatever the story is it is not your story and carrying on here about how you called UPS and asked them some idiotic question about tracking information makes you sound about as fucking crazy as...well...you probably are!
If you even made such a phone call somewhere other than in your broken head the UPS guy probably had you on speaker and the whole office laughed their ass off while he was jerking you off (which incidentally is a great way to relieve stress and it sounds you've got a fuck load of it!).
Why don't you just point your shit somewhere else and end this bullshit.

FRAUD, TRICKERY, and ARTIFICE, OH MY!  or   POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PSYCHIATRIC DISORDERS  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Having been part of this forum since the beginning, I have been part of the unusual spectacle that has become the Conspiracy Group we all know as ......Really? Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy and cathoderay  Roll Eyes Cheesy Grin and probably others.

He, 1 person 2+ accounts is most certainly one of the following:

1. A paid shill or principal of some other pool or group that views BAN as a direct and viable threat to their continued survival.

2. A spurned ex-lover of sObr's that can't have him, so he/she has vowed to destroy him.

3. A isolated young male probably white, low to mid 20s, college drop out (psychiatric) with an erupting, unmanaged pseudo-narcissistic delusional sociopathy that places him at the apex of the fight to rid the crypto world of scams. He sees himself as the only credible resistance against this threat and as a result, once he has succeeded in his altruistic quest, will have the adoration of all he has saved. Furthermore, if he is continually challenged and mocked without needed medical intervention, this condition may phase into a dangerous psychopathy placing the subject in a position of having to use violence to protect those who he believes show adoration toward him.

I suggest we all kindly ignore this contributor as to not further fuel his anti free market intent or his alarming mental deterioration.

Note: Yes, I only have 10 posts here so by default I am a newb sock-puppet of BAN. Get help friend, you are too valuable to loose.

FWIW, here are our shares and payouts while we were on the pool.  This is with about 270-290TH and BAN always reported within 5% of our hashrate.

+-------------+--------------------+
| sum(shares)   | sum(btc)     |
+-------------+--------------------+
| 19440313760 | 15.39314937 |
+-------------+--------------------+

At the standard PPS rate (without the claimed bonus) we should have made about 17.8 BTC.  With the bonus we should have made ~20 BTC.

So we are currently owed about 2.4 BTC at the standard PPS rate ignoring the bonus.

Let me know when you get things worked out and we'll be back.

Did your pool leave about 18 hours ago roughly? That is when the payouts normalized. If this is the case, maybe it is worth contacting the operator to see if something can be done technically to fix the issue.

What he has is no where close to a pool, I mean a pool of miners with no actual pool anyway. But yes when he left is when payments normalized, the same thing happened on bitminter which I hear hes banned from. Also caused issues on eligus and btcguild.

To be decided...

Don't come back please... you f*ck up every pool you enter you broke Eligus, you broke Guild and have been BANNED from Ghash and BitMinter, why don't you get your own pool??? All you do is mine at free pools and charge your users 1.5% for helping you find blocks...your payout issues will be fixed but we don't need your petty ass 250TH/s you should start your own pool and stop ripping people off...

Knowing this potential issue, and the signs that point to it. It's starting to make a bit more sense.

FWIW, here are our shares and payouts while we were on the pool.  This is with about 270-290TH and BAN always reported within 5% of our hashrate.

+-------------+--------------------+
| sum(shares)   | sum(btc)     |
+-------------+--------------------+
| 19440313760 | 15.393149373587221 |

Not sure where you're getting your info but we never mined on BTC guild, we left Bitminer due to their toxic community and have since been invited to come back by the admin, however I haven't taken him up on that.

We only mined on Eligius shortly due to their payout system issues, however there were no issues with payout calculations there.  Please give a source for your statement that we 'caused issues' anywhere.  Or maybe you're just trying to start drama.

If a pool can't handle 250-300TH of extra hash, that's not due to anything we've done.  All we do is submit shares, just like any other group of miners.

Multipool - Always mine the most profitable coin - Scrypt, X11 or SHA-256!

Do you have multiple cgi-mining configurations mining within your pool. Many of Bitmains products have major issues within P2P pools. If you have a lot of those people switching frequencies often you will get accepted shares in your discarded.

The whole pools efficiency dropped a staggering 8% + when your hash joined. Perhaps the combination of CGI mining configurations is making something seem different than it is.

Also, do you do anything to maximize efficiency of peoples locations, or do you route all miners into 1 worker from around the world to 1 stratum and expect it to be normal?

Don't come back please... you f*ck up every pool you enter you broke Eligus, you broke Guild and have been BANNED from Ghash and BitMinter, why don't you get your own pool??? All you do is mine at free pools and charge your users 1.5% for helping you find blocks...your payout issues will be fixed but we don't need your petty ass 250TH/s you should start your own pool and stop ripping people off...

We've never mined on BTC guild, as far as 'breaking' Eligius I'd like to see a source for that.
