Upcoming Bulletproof update should definitely make some excitement. Many will say it is already priced in, but i cant be really. There will be publicity about it and that publicity will be exactly about what is best in Monero.
This was exactly what I was discussing in another channel. A lot of people come and talk about better privacy coins and start comparing stuff to Monero, then they realize actually Monero is in constant development and catching up very quickly in some of the tech,,, just that they were not aware about it until they learnt. Monero has this thing that it makes headlines very well without marketing, because the adopters are happy to share. And definitely,,, none of this is priced in until the spikes happen! That, or it's already priced in cos there are no spikes happening... Think about it. Bulletproofs is already public knowledge. It may be public knowledge but the major impact this upgrade will have is probably hard to quantify until put into practice. People need to experience bulletproofs and talk about it to fully understand. Honestly, I fall into this category. Don't get me wrong, I go back and forth on this. It may not even be a blip on the radar come Oct. 18th. This is exactly how I felt about Bitcoin's Segwit when it was public knowledge. People said, it is all priced in. But we all needed to try it for ourselves, to see that it works as it is supposed to be. Technological upgrades are nice to read about, but if it does not impact how we use the coin, then it has no pricing effect. So yes, I agree. Bulletproof needs to be used by us, and we must like it. But you're also right. Maybe Oct 18 comes and it is just a slow climb, instead of spike, or nobody cares.

Great, has there been any talk of when the pruning will take place? It will probably be fully implemented in v0.14.

They say that Monero still has huge growth potential, is that true? I think the price has calmed down and you can not dream of ToTheMoon. Do you think this is real?

so we have learnt an important lesson today:
financial crisis in the world determines a fall in crypto markets, same as in other asset classes.
anyway we then know who has mainly driven the crypto market from 10 billions to 700 billions and now 200 billions.
we became dependant of the classical finance, rather than of individual investors..

A lot of things have a huge growth potential. If you ask around here you will find a lot of people who bought way back and are many thousands of % up, which does show a good track record so far. The problem with potential is it's hard to quantify in future in terms of a) how much, and b) when. That's why hodling pays; it's often hard work. No one here has a good enough crystal ball to give financial advice, but the majority believe. The best advice? Do your own research, make your own decision. Then if you like the tech, the development and the support behind Monero? Well, join in... you will be welcome.

Of course it will happen that way. when is economic crash everything crashes. Also Gold. But Gold crashes least and recovers fastest. My speculation is that good crypto will recover as fast as Gold. Biggest question I have is when will this happen. In middle of next bull run. After Bitcoin reach next ATH and crash. Or Bitcoin crash after next ATH will be a trigger for an economic crysis.
