So... what's the deal with the price being kept down so low?

Is it due to the mining rewards being far too plentiful?

Miners probably just dump at whatever price they can get.  The bot tends to work the price downward if people aren't smart about their sell orders.  And I'm pretty sure that there's at least 1 P&D group still involved (they were involved in at least one dump from when there was the blockchain forking issue and I believe they did that quick dump a few days back). All of which just makes it great for accumulation at this point.

Hold on guys, I think we need to focus on the development of the v. 2.0 and then add-ons later on.

First i want to say thank you to the whole community for this oppertunity and will do my best to bring this 2 gen coin to the next level.
As Rob already told i have been working behind the sceane for quite some time and find LTCD the biggest new player since the LTC.
We had our strugles getting over a diff bump, bots, fud ,scam and it showed that this community is the strongest i have seen for a long time.  We made it happen and I feel we will reach the goal in the end.
As you all know we cant grow rapidly without investors (fiat) and to bring these investors to the table we need a freaking awsome feature coin and wallet. It will take time to get there since its done by only 1 magic man at the moment. Troll has the complete roadmap and most important also build it from scratch.. and when this breaks the news,  you all bagholders will be rewarded.
I do not want to push to much PR out at the moment besides articles,  interviews and so on,  because what happens if you see the same logo on all pages but nothing really happens… people get bored.
In the crypto world people are like wolfs and the have to be fed constantly,  but for who,  the miner… or the day dealer?  No,  we need to push hard and i mean hard when something awsome is announced.  Like when auto wallet update,  insite wallet trading,  auto replicate between wallet -IOS-Android.  We need to make this coin the most easy coin to handle and to make people feel safe.
Thatsalso the reason why i think i the future we need to change name,  no fiat investors would put their money into something "dark". I wouldnt !
So if you people would like to help me and the community  to make something uniq please,  shout,  tweet,  make videos on how to mine for beginners,  make news feets or what ever,  just shout !
This coin is by the way going to shake the crypto world as we know it today and im proud to be part in helping it getting there.

I do NOT agree that we need to change the name of the coin.Identity is already established.DARK is what people want! It is why BITCOIN got so big.But, they are now finding out their transactions really are NOT so private! So, they need re-education, which is where we come in. GEN 2 coin IS private, BTC & LTC are not private as previously ASSUMED by the public.As I  see it, we are the "little sister" to BTCD!!We must try to learn from them what they have done, and perhaps try to follow in their footsteps.we DO have a long way to go with that, I think.To get there we will need more coders I think for sure.More members being added has been mentioned.It should be a priority, imo.Just my thoughts... thnx.

Our coin is under accumulation right now. We have been noticed by some shrewd investors already. Wait & see what happens when our daily volume breaks 100BTC. We will then begin to see what the true value of our coin is. 3,000  , 5,000 , 10,000 , 25,000satoshis??? ~darylluke.

As I said before, I think it is a BAD idea to change the name. IF we were ONLY on polonex, I'd maybe agree. But, changing the name at this point? Wtf man? THAT could turn into a trainwreck!

To change a name so quickly would look like pretty bad. Plus after all the fud wow it wouldn't look good. So I say we stay on course stop the name change thingy and talk about what really matters . The future of the coin and the implementations of the devs ideas. That is what is going to make this coin great not a name but the hard work the devs and community put into it . Thanks

It will probably shoot right past that much higher, then crash back to 1000 so the whales can grab cheap coins from the last weak hands.Then, we will head back up making 2000 as the new floor.IF we get really great new announcements, the floor could be 5000 easily. Just what I foresee for the next 30 days, fwiw.

I will do my best. Some pages back i wrote how i would handle this. And in short terms i said that i didn't want to be all over the place until we are ready with whitepaper for v 2.0. Crypto people gets easy bored and I do not want people to say " yet another"

I don't think the name change subject is off the table. I think it was intended to come later, at the time it was first brought up. Unless I am now misunderstanding something, it's still on the table for sometime down the road.

Somehow, it seems people have been reading into the issue things that weren't actually communicated. People have interpreted the words or the intent of the words in various posts about this. It is possible that I've done it myself, unintentionally.

Kind of a shame on the name change thing, but maybe its better to keep it for another day.

I noticed someone came up with Qwiksilver on the LTCD website and that has a ring to it for future reference.

As I said, it is further down the road. Not now !

I have some really exciting ideas about where LTCD can go. But I need to know in Laymans terms what Troll is doing to make the coin different and totally unique to help out. Can you outline how his code is different for someone not good with the technicals? E.g, How its main features will separate it from ALL other coins, and what its biggest strengths are?

It may be worth going for a name change in the future as you said to something more marketable as alternative to Ripples or Bitcoins if the code is really that good.

As I said I really like the name Quicksilver or Qwiksilver as a brand name for something totally unique. Qwik indicating transfers are made very fast and possibly with anonymity and the Silver gives it value in a marketing sense.

Would it be wise to get a patent check on that name? I know it clashes with certain brand name clothing, but I don't think that matters. And it would be nice to stop anyone else nabbing that name.

Also in the future, could the pre-mine be used to fund a professional marketing company to make a video showing how the currency started as Litecoindark and then progressed into a professional new coin with unique features that were brought about by the excellent coding of Troll? Perhaps it could also be used to fund advertisements made by a professional firm as well?

I think that would be something good for you to look into Xircom as someone who is heading up the marketing side of things. They could even solve the logo if people can come up with any Quicksilver ideas for them to improve on?

I don't know if everyone agrees on that name but I think its fantastic.
