Here is an easier double spend attack:
5. Bet transaction that won't confirm: Intentionally construct a bet transaction that miners won't include in blocks due to fee rules. Then after you see whether you won or lost, you have plenty of time to mine your own block that includes either the bet and payout transactions or a double spend of the bet transaction. Of course not all miners follow identical rules so you may not have an arbitrarily long amount of time to mine the block, but it makes the attack much more feasible and profitable than if you had to mine the very next block.

I think the less than 24000's max bet is wrong, it's more than the less than 32000's max bet:

The max is based on the the prize multiplier and some modeling related to the win percentage. Due to this, the numbers are not linear like you would expect. In short, the max bet on 24000 might be higher because the system calculates it is safe to do so because people are less likely to win it and run the house out of money. |

Do not waste your time debating whether Bitcoin can work. It does work.
"Early adopters will profit" is not a sufficient condition to classify something as a pyramid or Ponzi scheme. If it was, Apple and Microsoft stock are Ponzi schemes.

Whew! Glad to hear, I've been waiting quite a while now to find out if I won my last wager or not! Hoping I get my other wins back soon too... Lost (11) 48000 bets in a row and finally won 2 at like 20BTC or so! ...been so long now I can't remember LOL How much longer are you thinking? Perhaps the site uses send many to cut down on transaction spam ? I really like the site, it generates shit loads of transactions for the btc network and I assume/hope all the players are paying transaction fee's. |
