The 0.01 as min bet is killing me so I had to quit, I used to play with small amounts in a gambling wallet looking for low lucky numbers. Now I have to stay above 12000 all the time, and there is no fun in that.

It will be great if you reconsider your decision, at least for number bellow 4000 for example

It would make sense to allow smaller min bets for the "long shot" bets.

Oh yes!  I hadn't noticed.

Looks like someone is sending many 1 satoshi bets.  For example: http://blockchain.info/tx-index/35996634

SatoshiDice pays a separate fee for each bet.  The attacker only pays a single fee to attack all the SatoshiDice addresses in a single transaction.

I would support SatoshiDice just keeping the "Below Min" bets as donations.  I don't have a problem at all with it.  It would make this kind of attack expensive and obsolete.

No.  They didn't process the bet yet, probably because they're busy rejecting thousands of 1 satoshi bets.

Satoshidice is being sabotaged by someone who lost 130 coins, OR a competitor.

I have seen this attack as well.
I was looking at results, and seeing 0.00000001 over and over again.

Bets under 0.0005 should return nothing, to prevent attacks.
Bets under 0.0005 should just be accepted as donation gifts.
Any bet above 0.0005 should have transaction subtracted from them.
So if someone sends 0.0006 they get back 0.0001.

This would make much more sense.

Satoshidice should implement this.

I just tried running my daily satoshidice analysis script and it failed due to what looks like a bug at satoshidice.

It seems satoshidice is ignoring some bets.  For example, here's a transaction that bets 1 satoshi on all 27 satoshidice bets:

Notice that satoshidice only thinks there's 19 bets in that transaction.  It misses 8 of them.  Usually even when it's slow to pay out some of the bets in a transaction it at least lists them as 'unknown' or 'pending'.  But in this case it doesn't even list the missing 8 bets.

It's a good idea so long as they give some notice.  If I was running a bot that sent thousands of 0.001 bets when they suddenly and without notice changed the min bet to 0.01 last week I would be pretty pissed.

I would suggest returning the bets as "under min" for a week or two whenever the min bet is increased, and only after then keeping those bets.
