Seems to be some pretty noticeable network instability in the Vegas datacentre.
The pool isn't dropping anyone - yet - and hopefully it will be sorted before it gets that bad.
I've contacted them about it already and hopefully they can deal with it before it does degrade any more.

Edit: well that didn't last much longer after I posted ... all ok again.

More of the above happening.
NL node had just reconnected everyone on it. It's OK again.
It didn't lose connection to the USA, it's just that almost everyone dropped off the NL node.
Other nodes are all OK (at the moment)

I also have another question:
I bought 50 more S9s they should come within 20-25 days.
If I connect them all plus my 3 current S9s would I affect this pool. I do not want anyone to be adversely affected including myself

How did you buy 50 S9s as they have been sold out like forever?  Are they used?

Except for the Chinese holiday there has been a batch about every two weeks. They do however sell out within a couple hours. When I need to buy I check in hourly. Only when I'm awake of course.

Let me just say I am not a Bitmain fanboy. I really was hoping that bitfury had finished their miners by now. I have 17 s9's and have had not one problem. It magically seems that ever since they took out the ability to over clock and created the auto frequency. All of a sudden people are not frying boards. Most likely a user problem.

I wouldn't be too quick to insult S9 owners...it seems that a lot of board issues come from shoddy manufacturing.  I am not a biteme fan either but one of my 5 S9s had a board slowing down and dropping out within a couple of hours after it was brought online.  When the board was removed for shipping, a component literally fell off the board.  The solder joints on the component did not hold.  A quick solder job and it was back in business.  I have read that this same component was an issue for many others and I would venture to say that a lot of board failures can be be contributed to this same problem...not necessarily a user problem.

No insults.  Just the facts of life. I am not saying that you did not have a legitimate problem. Just that the majority did not. Of course there are going to be some problems. I don't care if you buy a brand new car , asic miner, or toaster. You will have some problems with some items. I have bought multiple miners from multiple batches. And to date had no problems. And again. I find it funny that when over clocking was taken away. The majority of the problems went away.

The machines were bought on Alibaba. I already purchased these machines from the same seller before and they were brand new, they did not overheat, not the latest batch though, cloaked at 13 Th/s. 200$ below the price of the manufacture. I had to negotiate the rate.

While I don't disagree with your basic premise, I think you're missing quite a few of the posts on this thread, and other conversations.  A lot (and to say a "majority" when one does not have the base numbers for the comparison doesn't quite make it for me) of folks have had serious issues with the Biteme hardware, and particularly the S9s, although those problems had been showing for some time, and not just with the S9s. I've found cold solder joints, solder paste where it shouldn't be, and a litany of other QA fails that never should have made it out of the plant...and I've found such things even back in the S2s and S3s. Overclocking was never the culprit...unless the user, of course, threw caution to the winds and ran a machine at full throttle with no oversight. Of ten new, out-of-box BM devices I've worked with (S2 to S7), only two (older S3s) didn't need some sort of exceptional TLC on first boot to take care of some (hopefully) minor stuff.

So...that's my take on it. We have another game in town now, and from all I've seen directly (ie., not necessarily via the boards) it's a solid option. Better QA, better service, better communication.

I have seen the posts.  Although these are my first posts. I have been hanging around for some time. As for the base numbers. The same can be said of the people that write "biteme hardware". It's just really the Linux mentality.  The whole "me against the world" complex.
If the s9's were as bad as certain people claim them to be I would of no doubt found a lame duck. Sorry I don't believe in luck. Also have had many s7 and still. No problems.

Please do understand I myself do not like a monopoly. Unfortunately they are the only viable option if you are looking to make a living.

Now with kano ppnls: from 22 to 24/11/2016 only 0.00640411, charging 0.02% (will this always be?)

At what point the payment model ppnls is better than pps in practice?

Additionally I do not know how the payments are handled and I do not receive the last two.

I am confused at this point because I do not quite understand the business model ppnls offered by Kano.is to stay.

But I still have doubts:

That 0.02% that I receive is the full payment for the work in each block? Or is the equivalent of 1/5 of the payment, which is referenced in the section: "How do the PPLNS payments work?" Should I expect more than 0.02% in the future?

You expect to get: 100% PPS * 0.991 (subtract pool fee) * 1.03 (~ 3% txn fees) * 0.99 (assume 1% orphans)
Which is: 101.05% PPS ... i.e. a lot more than any PPS pool and higher than the expected PPLNS of Antpoo

What you will get each payout depends on the luck in the previous 5Nd (currently ~2 days) and transaction fees (which are well over 3% at the moment)

It's quite simple - if you understand that your payout varies daily/weekly/monthly and you don't have a hitman standing over you expecting you to pay him every day, then you will be ahead.

See the monthly numbers if you want to see what 'actually' happened in the last 6 months.

Will this pool be signaling for segwit at any point?

I ran a search to find Kano's opinions on it and it seems he's opposed to it for a few reasons. Attempted dev control of bitcoin and disk space issues stand out the most in my memory. Any further clarifications would be appreciated. I don't visit the forums that much, so I apologise if I missed a post regarding it.

I'm not against it. Kano and I differ in opinion on this one and ultimately this is his pool; I'm part of the administration and tech support but it's not my pool.

Kano, how do you feel about letting your pool users vote for or against segwit?

I had a troubleshooting question that was previously posted in this thread about my miners' inactive link to CKPool.

To restate, I had AntMiners running at a remote location that I managed through multiple PCs. After two months of mining at this location, I unhooked my mining setup and tweak the miner configuration settings to work with different pools and mine other altcoins for a short amount of time. Then, upon setting the miners back to the nonce link, the Antminers claimed that the link to the pool was dead.

As someone who is still relatively new to mining, I'm not certain on how I should approach this issue, as this pool was the most profitable out of all the BTC mining pools that I have mined with. All other sources of assistance, via Reddit or email, have redirected me here, so this is essentially my last hope.
