Hi,

seems that I was firewalled by kano.is today, as I can't connect to any of pool mirrors anymore.

My ip address is 81.25.54.131. Is it possible to remove me from the black list?

Hi guys,

I've been trying to read up on overclocking my S9s, now before you roll your eyes at my post, I understand the waranty implications and I am certain it will run hotter. My question is, is anybody doing it? If not, what are the risks/disadvantages?

Also, why is Bitmain bringing out a 11,85 that runs at 550MHz, a 12.93 running at 600MHz the 14.0 running at 650Mhz. Surely this can't be the same machine running at different frequencies?

I'm trying to understand this concept but there really not much to read up on, on google Undecided

so you have a 11.85 miner rated at 550 and you want to over clock the freq to  say 600  hoping to make more cash correct?

don't  just trust me.

but if you want a long explanation I can give you one via pm.

Hey WTF is the clone site?  is it a kano site or a rip off?

Appears that when you overclock s9 you will get more hardware errors but just on one board.
Guess you could cluster the high error boards in one miner and underclock that one, overclock the boards
.that have low errors.

only cpu mining at that address, your other addresses weren't so didn't get blocked ...

What is it? Clone?  Shocked              http://52.66.51.105/index.php

Hmm.? It seems they cloned kano.is to the T. Even their payout page goes to kano's wallet address. Is this legit? Seems kinda fishy to me.

If you checked the link Kano put in just above, it explains it. The code for the pool and database are open source. As Kano said, anyone who's reasonably technically apt could use the code to build a simple pool. That's what open source is about. However...it's no guarantee the person applying the code really does know what they're doing...  Cool

BTW...not that I'm intimating that the "new" site is nefarious...but I generally don't go tiptoeing around questionable sites just to see wassup. Good way to catch something you can't get rid of.  Kiss

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Okay. Maybe legit. But I am wondering what they are copyrighting? That surely is not their design or anything else. Enough from this peanut gallery. Let's see some more green blocks!

I was poking around on the clone and my ipad locked up. Had to reboot. NEVER locks up. Beware.
Could be a buffer overflow attack.

hmmm.... very fishy.... 8 blocks in 11 days with 20PHs, over 5 users that has thousands of workers?

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

Looking at the size of each user they could be a group of data centers that decided to have their own pool.

Don't think so far. His hashrate wasn't be at 20 Ph/s all days long. It was at 5-7 Ph/s from the begining days and drop to almost zero for hours yesterday..
I've been watching him for a few days already.

IMHO...the essence of good design is to build something that is so efficient and scaleable that to change it in any material way is to degrade it.

That said...of course, referring to Kano and CK's design...there are also parts of this particular pool's code that are NOT open source for obvious (I hope) reasons.

Anyway...it looks like kano.is because the code is essentially the same. If there are glitches in how they've implemented it, that's probably just fubar-ing on their end.

EDIT: As a retired behavioral scientist, I'm having one helluva time just watching the range of curiosity around the event, rather than worrying about the event itself...
 Cool Cool Cool

 Cool Cool Cool
The event to me seems obvious.
(1) Avalon has a new rig coming out.
(2) Avalon has new software coming out.
(3) Avalon and kano have a relationship.
(4) Who better to test it?Huh
(5) It has to be tested before it hits the market.
I only hope it's coming soon.
