Question:

I have being mining for two weeks (or at least I think I'm) using cgminer and a Gekko Compac BM1384, it connects and shows:

 cgminer version 4.9.2 - Started: [2016-12-13 15:28:59.419]

 [2016-12-13 15:42:33.936] Accepted 9aece870 Diff 423/242 COMPAC 0

I'm using:

https://kano.is/address.php?a=(ADDRESSHIDDENFORPOST)

and I get:

{"hashrate1m": "1.32G", "hashrate5m": "4.31G", "hashrate1hr": "9.51G", "hashrate1d": "10.5G", "hashrate7d": "4.95G", "lastupdate": 1481661878, "workers": 1, "shares": 937961, "bestshare": 194484.65311462726}

confirming ONE worker.

But, when I log in to https://kano.is/ and go to Menu Worker/Workers it shows CERO workers:

Workers (active during the last 7 days)
Show Details for Invalids:
Worker Name:   Work Diff   :Last Share   Shares   :Diff   :Share Rate   «Elapsed   :Invalid   Block %   :Hash Rate
Total: 0 (0 miners)      0       0      0GHs         0%      0.000%      0GHs

¿Why?

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

If you're mining directly to a BTC address, which it looks like you are, you won't get those other stats.  You need to use a worker name instead, then all the stats you want to see will be there!

Edit- indeed ZACHM is right, at the moment somewhere near 400GH is needed to stay above dust level.

I don't believe in superstition because it's bad luck: 13thF1oor6CAwyzyxXPNnRvu3nhhYeqZdc
These aren't the Droids you're looking for: S5 & S7 (Sold), R4B2, R4B4 (RIP), 2x S9 obsolete, 2xS15-28, S17-56, S17-70
Pushing a whopping 1/5 PH!  Oh The SPEED!!!

And, you do realize that you will only get Dust while mining with just one Compac?
This means that you will not see any payouts for a very, very, very long time, if ever.

In last last couple weeks there has been a R4, S9, A7 batch released. If your not increasing your hash rate. You are going backwards.

I did not increased my hashrate in the past 6 months , and i can tell you im not going backwards at all Smiley

Doesn't matter how much you invest into the mining , your generated income will be less weeks by weeks , months by months as difficulty is going up.

I am pretty sure that is the deffinition of going backwards. Unless you of course increase your hash rate. Which then would be the opposite of going backwards.

At current difficulty: about one hundred thousandth of a bitcoin per day, unless I've pressed the wrong buttons on my calculator.

That's a funny one.

You mean buying WAYYYYYYYY overprice gear => A7

Or just a 90 days warranty S9 with like 10% failure ?

No thanks

I own 17 S9 with 3 more on the way and have had 0% failure.

well you're lucky as hell, just follow the bitmain thread.

I personally asked a few person because I wanted to buy some and the answer is pretty much => worst ever miner they made so far.

Man, the Chinese pools seem to be grabbing everything today. I know they have huge hash rates, but the percentages of blocks going to them is just maddening.
BitFury is in there with them, and have found 12 blocks over the last 24 hours. But Slush, with 147PH, has only gotten 2 over the last 24 hours.

What can you do...... nada.

If you buying a S9 /11TH/s miner right now , your ROI if you have free electricity will be around 6-7 months with current difficulty and BTC price. If you are paying around 10 cents(us)/kw your ROI will be around a year , with current difficulty and BTC price .

Actually my Roi with electricity is 7 months. But instead of putting that money in my pocket. I am reinvesting all of the net profit so that in 7 months, I will have twice the amount of equipment. And will probably do the same the following 7 months after that.

Most likely the same people that were cooking their miners by over clocking them to much. Funny how the complaints have gone down after the over clocking was taken away.

Right. Because the majority of people in this world are  truthful and trustworthy. Yup, they always admit to their own mistakes. Especially if its going to take money out of their pockets. Then its multiplied even more with the conspiracy theorist. And as we all know the world wide web is full of them.  Shocked

tournamentdan, many, many people have had issues with S9's. Myself included. I've had an I/O board replaced under warranty and am having issues with another controller acting flakey. No, no over-clocking involved. As a matter of fact,, they are all under-clocked right now by 25Mhz.
Just because you have been lucky doesn't mean all of the other people with problems have been reckless.
Consider yourself lucky and I hope your luck holds. We could use some of that around here.
