There is no way to subversively affect the pool other than withholding blocks.
Any other effect will show up as stales or orphans on the web page.

Now if someone was magically causing us to have a blocks above 500% that's basically like saying they have 80% of the pool hash rate and are withholding.

The bad luck this month is probably about the same as last October (which was really bad also) it's roughly around 50%
To cause that directly, a miner would have to be ... of course ... half the pool hash rate and withholding all their blocks.

I'll leave it at that ...

That doesn't mean it will remain that way though, but you also cannot know when luck will be good and when it will be bad until after it has happened.

That doesn't mean it will remain that way though, but you also cannot know when luck will be good and when it will be bad until after it has happened.

at least on kano's bad luck is typically followed by good, while on some unnamed other bad luck is followed by meh luck and pool stays below 94% forever

This pool hasn't had amonth above 100% since june and october., and may barely made it in there. It's hard to keep people around when the stats don't lie and things haven't been good here for awhile.

Kano always says it's a numbers game, but since the halving, this pool has been struggling for some reason.

That's a cognitive bias that isn't actually supported by the facts/numbers.

A total of ±13 blocks in any full 8 month period should be in anyone's acceptable risk range (or they should find a new hobby).
