jst seem that our luck hasnt been great as of late :/ sluch has better payout up to the point where the yearly amount is done. We REALLY got hit bad with two blocks around 900% in October. Those really dropped our rate a lot. I know it will come around - and the nice part is with the smaller hash rate (bigger payouts per Th we submit) - when it does come back, we will be doing the SUPER HAPPY DANCE! Those stats will turn around very quickly! yea i have jst been looking at the general block stats over the last year and monthly output jst seems to go down every month even when hash goes up. but it is true all statistical probabilities eventually work out so there should be better times ahead

Anyone ever receive Coupons from Bitmain? They have mine listed with a Coupon ID, Info: 100 USD, Total Count: 8 Consumed: 0 Sales Order: Yes Repair-Fee Order: No Valid: 2018-06-01
Does this mean I have 8 x 100 USD coupons to buy more of their shit? or am I reading that wrong?

Those stats will turn around very quickly! Statiscally, those events are independent, can't use them to forecast "future luck" ... but it's highly unlikely over time for our luck to be this low - so even though there's the expectation to approach 100% luck, there really isn't any certainty Having said all that ... at 100% luck this pool earns more per TH than other pools...curse you, damned variance!

I have 35 $100 vouchers... can only use 1 voucher per miner... So why would they tell me in their email that they sent one 100 USD coupon to me account, and then put on 8 but not allow me to use them at the same time. Just a ploy to get more sales? This was becuase of an L3 that i bought back in december, that was supposed to be batch 1 that they forgot to send to me. Just tried a dummy order, and it is as you said, 1 coupon allowed. Bummer, I would of bought an A3 since it would of been almost FREE! HAHA

Yep, you have 8 to use, 1 per unit purchased. You can also donate them if you wish to the email address of another Bitmain account holder. EDIT: You cannot use any of these coupons to buy just a PSU...

Since there seem to be a lot of n00bs here asking about luck and such...
Its worth pointing out bad luck has more of a psychological impact than good luck.
Imagine 3 blocks solved.
Scenario 1 - each block takes 100% of expected work.
Scenario 2 - first block takes 50% of expected luck (high luck), block 2 takes 100% expected work, block 3 takes 150% expected luck
If hash rate stays the same, both scenarios in total take the same amount of time.
But the 150% block seems worse because it's bad luck for a long amount of time (when hashrate is constant, amount of work = amount of time). While the 50% block seems good but not as good as the 150% block is bad, since its good luck but for a short amount of time.
Basically the good times are short and the bad times are long. You gotta think logically and not let emotions confuse you.
Focus on the long term luck stats. And don't shoot yourself in the foot by pool hopping. Just set it and forget it.
Assuming nothing has changed for the worse with the pool back end, kano (and before that kano + -ck... sorry to hear about the disagreements...) this pool is optimised and transparent to the point that it puts its members in the best possible situation to get lucky.

but u can only get lets say lucky to the tune off 7% out of hundred u can get 900% unlucky lol and even if we mine 2 blocks in a row it could never make up for not mining a block for a month

Yet the luck for the last 500 blocks, that includes all those, is ... 99.73%

I'm surprised these smaller guys aren't going for that 50 TH/s reward.
The block must have distracted everyone. I'm not sure how man smaller miners pay attention to the forum and read it though........so in that case, let's increase the qualifications to 1TH/s - 15 TH/s and see if that attracts a few more.
Someone has to have an easy analogy they can share that helps them understand.

... 'PASS THE HASH' GIVEAWAY! qualifications and time-frames, I'll highlight them below in red... - You must be already mining on Kano with a combined hashpower below 10THs between ~500GHs and ~1THs (on the Pool Stats page). - Send me a direct [Private] message with your user name, if you qualify and wish to participate. Do not reply to this with your user name, as we don't want to flood the forum, unless it is for a general comment. - I will randomly draw one qualifying user tomorrow Monday midnight CET Monday evening EST. I will then announce the 'winner' and the S9 Avalon6 (3.5THs) will run under its user name until Sunday midnight CET Sunday evening EST. - Should the machine drop in hashpower or encounter any technical issues, I will not be responsible and liable to make up for it.
Thanks for the continued interest! Well, folks... This is the most unanticipated announcement: The lucky winner is... No one... Yeah, exactly. I was surprised too. No one took me up on my offer, so I'm hereby recinding my invitation. Trust me, I was more than willing to do what I said, but, apparently, this is the way it was meant to be, so... Mine on!!!

I feel your pain... I couldn't even give my 3.5THs away. LOL Oh, well. More for me, I suppose. Anyway, about your promo, I've been totally unavailable today, but I'll take a crack at it tomorrow since I've been wanting to document my findings as my knowledge has grown over the past half-dozen blocks that I've been a part of.

I am confused as to how luck works in all of this.... Is 100% good? Is lower % better? Or is higher % better? Is luck and Diff % relational? I'm having a hard time understanding the luck part in all of this. Red is bad, green is good...but luck varies.. Are we trying to be at 100% luck all the time? https://imgur.com/a/515j6Thanks! Expected luck is 100% and if we hit that on every block all is good in the BTC world. Better luck is less than 100% and worse luck is greater than 100%. Our block 509209 was super lucky at 7.588% while our block 491758 was super unlucky at 928.788% Some other pools represent luck in reverse for some reason Thanks for the info! A single block's luck is of course so random that it's completely meaningless to try and make any claims about the pool performance based on a single block. It's all of course related to statistical samples. A small sample of a large set of data is not going to give a useful representation of that data, and one single block is basically meaningless in that respect. Aside: there's also the CDF column (that shows the chances of that happening) to compare with any of the very few pools that show that also. The top two tables are what's useful to see the pool's performance. The CDF[Erl] is actually the most useful number on the whole page ... and no other pool shows it Seriously, most if not all other pool operators have no idea about the statistics of mining. slush is the best example of that - after running a pool for the longest of all pools, he still had no idea about checking the statistics of his miners in Dec 2015 when they all lost a truck load of BTC due to that. Anyway, as the number of blocks increases, you get more useful data with the CDF[Erl] which is showing, in the top two tables, the probability of getting worse than that result. There's also Luck% columns in the tables that show 50% luck as bad luck and 200% luck as good luck. Thank You! May I ask what CDF[ERL] means and how it is calculated and exactly what do you mean by "the probability of getting worse than that result?" Compared to what result? luck? % difficulty? CDF itself? Sorry if it is obvious to everyone else, (newbie) but what does the %luck really mean anything as far as the average miner looking at stats if CDF[ERL} is the real key?

It is on the table. You have to get him to understand in a way that he could explain it to another newbie and give an example. If you can and he can, the hash is YOURS! 50 TH/s for 5 days. Also, padrinogtr offered another 3 TH/s to add to make a total of 53 TH/s. Pretty cool I thought.
