Anyone run a MMQ on windows xp? I switched to a lower power laptop running do and it does not download the driver from windows update. The only one listed on the wiki is the x64 driver.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Hopefully the answer is yet.  It would ridiculous if it was 60 per device...

As it was $30 for USPS flat rate shipping for multiple bASIC's before, I'd assume it's a flat rate upgrade for your order.

it was 30$ for multiple basics? I paid 30$ for each. Is there a refund or what?

You must contact Tom and ask him to combine your orders.

after a few hours Smiley

yea i was wondering if the avg would go up over time since it might take time to 'spin up' if that makes sense.

If you are referring to U: - no, not really.

U: is random so it may start up high or down low or anywhere in between.
Over time it starts to converge on the expected value (days ... weeks ...)

There is, however, also an initial effect on the MMQ, since it must be tuned to get the right frequency for each of the 4 quads based on the current environment, and during that process it may be a little below the expected performance due to a higher number of HW: errors.
However, that should only have a minor effect on the U: value once it's been running for about an hour.
Thus random statistics is the major protagonist affecting the value of U: (other than hash rate of course Smiley)

FYI, if you have not noticed, there is a theme here.

This is much more of a "Business that is on the Internet" and less of an "Internet Business", it's like a corner computer store that happens to be across the country/planet.

Tom is a great guy, call his phone and he helps.

I wonder if the hurricane will slow down operations since Tom is based in NY.  Then again, I don't know which part and how bad it will be there.

Wow 93 pages of updates. Is there a concise web page with all the relevant information on it? I've seen the ordering page, but is there more to learn than what is on that site or do I have to comb through all 93 pages? Do you guys have photos or video? How's the development coming?

Yes, he is right in the predicted path (upstate NY, next to Lake Ontario). Stay safe, Tom

The best way I've found is to just look at cablepair's posts.  Then you can weed out most of the trolling and chatter.

I doubt it will amount to much more than a glorified thunderstorm here in upstate ny. Found out that i only live about 15-20 minutes away from tom. Current weather report is it is a little breezy and a bit of rain. Havent seen any farm animals fly by yet lol

And before all the omg conspiracy people jump in I have not met tom as of yet personally but i trust him enough to have ordered before the first round cut off.

Hello All

I am back from my weekend business trip. Yes we are going to get hit by Hurricane Sandy, they are telling us it will hit here later tonight - mostly high winds, downed power lines - outages and some flooding, nothing too serious. It wont cause any kinds of delays with bASIC - they are designed in CA, and assembled in OR, so do not worry about that.

However If I am not online for a day or two you know why

Oh yeah people were asking for pics of the new office space so I added it to my flickr stream - please keep in mind we are not even fully moved in yet and certainly not completely organized - so it is a bit messy!

If anyone needs me call me (315) 514-0269

As long as the power isnt off I will be back tomorrow

I have to go figure out the winner of the week 4 contest - bbl!
