Bitfloors seems to be trading in 90 dollars. Maybe there is still hope for Bitcoin...

btc-e just touched 100

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

Is the Canadian exchange the last one standing?

Edit: Never mind I see you discussing BitFloor and BTC-e

I fckn hate it to be all-in in Bitcoin.
I WANT TO BUY MOAR! RAAAAWR!

Well, this is a bit more action now than I wished for.
If this results in the end of MtGox and a single fat centralized exchange, it may have been worth it nevertheless.

Ente

Yes. Decentralized currency brought low by centralized exchange. Let this be a lesson to us all.

Note that arguably Gox also arguably contributed to the high price. All those people queuing up for verification...

The irony of this situation is that if it were easier to move fiat to the various exchanges through the legacy banking system, there wouldn't be any problem at all.

Agree, I just want to open an account, and deposit with iDeal, or Neteller/Moneybookers.
Instead they use obscure payment options that I've never heard of, what the hell is an OKpay or a liqpay ?? Never heard of them.

And when you click on the links, you get a page full of Russian. Confidence inspiring.

Just in case you haven't seen:

From: https://mtgox.com/trade/funding-options

"Trading is halted until 2013-04-12 02:00am UTC to allow the market to cooldown following the drop in price. Read more details on the support. Additionally trading fees will not be charged within 48 hours of trading resuming (until 2013-04-14 02:00am UTC)."

That's 3AM here. I ain't sleeping tonight, there's FUN to be had making money AND Bitcoins.

Price seems to be stabilizing around $90-$100.

Spoke too soon, dipping down slightly.

I am still mad at myself for not taking more profit...
Could have bought so much more coins if I hadn't been so greedy to think I could predict the top again.
Ah well, at least I still have a bit of profit, condolences to the burned newbies out there...

Yeah it is frustrating to be unable to buy. I see no way to get funds to any exchange unfortunately.

Really? You don't have any of those new-fangled bitcoin things? I've heard the whole point is you can move them around the world without restriction and instantly.

Just move them to say bitcoin-24, sell them and bang, you're off.

This only doesn't work if you think the rate has completely bottomed. Do you think that?

Unfortunately, bitcoin-24 price tends to be lower because of the lack of fiat there. It's a catch 22. The main thing I see that Gox had was being able to get money in there. I bought most of my BTC from a person-to-person trade.
