Gox seems back online !!

OK, seriously, W T F

gox charts are updating, but I still can not trade?

who do you have to know?

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

They are probably testing the engine... not sure if trading is back online.

You know whats funny?

When MtGox opens, they will prove everyone why they're the leading exchange. All those coins traded at other exchanged will be poured into MtGox. Once again its the market mover!

Virtex leaded the price for the last month or so..

The end of Gox as the lead exchange has begun !

105-110 on virtex...

MtGox's price should get arround the virtex price soon after trading re-enabled.. usually 5% lower than virtex..

Prices might be higher, and Gox kind of catches up a bit, but if Gox moves down, the others move down, if gox moves up, the others move up. They also have all the volume. This is why it is unfortunate and disappointing they have always been playing catch up with their systems. They never appear to fix the problem before it is a problem. Every decision seems to come a little too late. But at least they are making the right decision now and apparently upgrading the hell out of their platform.

LOL. you guys are thinking  the "leading exchange" is the one with highest price? Where is your fcking common sense?

Look at what Gox crash does to all other exchanges.... now you start thinking the opposite?

Might sound silly but is there ANY chance mt.gox could shutdown and run off with our money worst case?

I agree on diversification, but exploiting a weakness because they have one, is just fucked up. Unfortunately if you hurt gox at this point, that also means you hurt bitcoin in a big way.

Bro, do you even blockchain?
