I think discussions about BFL is a sore spot for many, many forum members. Sorry - didn't mean to upset anyone. The fact is that we ordered more products from them and I just wanted to find out if we had been included in the "first customers" notification that BFL Josh "said" went out. Just as an indication of whether we made it in the bullet run or not.. Don't worry, Og will get our BFL Monarchs Soon TM. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:T8oRFTPnbssJ:https://forums.butterflylabs.com/announcements/4414-monarch-information.html&client=firefox-a&hl=en&gl=us&strip=1Just to update everyone on where we stand with the Monarch at the moment. Current chip production has an expected delivery date in early/first half of December. We expect to have chips at that time and hope to have our first units shipped out the door by the end of December. We did not reach our goal of November delivery. Unlike our first generation ASIC devices, we already have the vendors in place and ready to go, along with the substrate design and manufacturing slotted in and geared up. Right now, we are not anticipating any issues but unexpected things do pop up. If they do, I will let people know as soon as I have definitive information regarding that, otherwise we are on target for a December release. If anything changes, I will let everyone know, via this thread, as soon as I have the information. Let me reiterate that if you are uncomfortable with pre-ordering for cutting edge, custom designed technology and all the risks that it implies, please do not place a pre-order and wait until the products are shipping and available. If you do choose to pre-order, please understand that unforseen problems and delays can and do happen and we will do our best to alert everyone to them when we encounter them and have had time to assess what the impact will be on the timeline. Our production capacity is geared up and ready to go. With the extreme simplicity of the Monarch compared to our 65nm product line, we do not anticipate any difficulties in getting units built and out the door in a rapid fashion. Compared to our current generation, assuming no parts shortages, we should be able to product more than 1000 Monarchs per day. For reference, the Monarch should use ~12 screws and two discrete parts (board and HSF), compared to even our most simple device, the Jalapeno, which has over 20 discrete parts, assembly is trivial and should pose no issues.

Looking around the forum, I can't seem to find anyone who did receive a notification... Given the history of BFL Josh, I'm not all that concerned that you didn't receive a notification. I would have been very happy to hear that you did, but BFL hasn't shown ME that they are very good with communication - even recently with a couple of products that a buddy of mine and I bought through them..

If there is dispute about minted seat ownership the voting rights for that seat are suspended and I will fix a appropriate payout threshold for that seat.
You could resolve this by having the coin sent to you with ownership information and a return address. I think there are many possibilities to resolve disputes. The policy only concerned about president rights to suspend voting rights. This is a important tool until disputes are resolved. I actually don't think there are many other possibilities, if the intent is that the seats can be transferred physically by transferring the coin, and the rest would be similar such as having a trusted local representative verify possession of the coin. The only other way would be to pull the seal, which is obviously undesirable. If the intent is that ownership of the seats not be transferred by physically transferring the coins, that should be explained clearly to coin owners/buyers. He who holds the coin owns it. They can be transferred as easy as handing them to someone else. The only issue is if people buy them second hand and want to control the vote of the coin on future polls. In that case, we have to be notified. I'd recommend buying the coin directly from NastyFans.org if you care to control the vote, or make sure the original coin buyer lets us know the coin has been transferred. It really isn't something you need to be concerned with.

With BFL possibly delayed and CoinTerra not having shipped their first batch yet, I am getting a bit antsy. I was hoping that KnC would have allowed us to order their next get rig, but by refusing to take orders from new customers, that puts us in a wait for the end of the line with them. For that reason, I'm considering placing an order for this: http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/prospero-x-3.htmlI've cashed out our alt coins and donated around 1/2 the funds to our holdings address to help repay debt. The other 1/2 I currently have sitting in USD. I was planning to wait for an LTC ASIC to become available, but I think we could have enough funds to place an order with Black Arrow and still be able to afford an LTC ASIC without taking on any more debt. Thoughts?

Well like I said if someone has a coin without a vote (maybe they bought it at a thrift store or something), they can send the coin to you, you can record ownership and send it back. Maybe you charge a small fee for this service?

Nice timing on the alt coin cash out, they all dipped with Bitcoin this morning on the China news. You must have insiders in the Bank of China The miner looks good, don't know anything about them though...I'm happy if you're happy.

That's not as tough as making a new chip, but it's still a good sign that they can get things done.

All pre-orders are guaranteed to be protected against any price decrease. If at any time, during the pre-order period, we drop the price under what you have already paid, you will be compensated by receiving more X-3 mining machines. Cool. I already like BlackArrow more than BFL.

Distribution 273477 is complete. Thank you donators!
Donations to minted seats were not in distribution. I put them in separate local accounts until payout threshold feature is complete.
Also we have 8.14 BTC in donations from minted seat sales. 74 seats minted so far. I hold these donations until percentage donations for NASTY MINING is decided.
