Hey OgNasty, care to tell us more about the rabbits? Or at least share a date when you will do this? Thanks.
...I'm pretty sure I just figured out that the "rabbits" comment is a reference to this: I have no problem with rushing the first few units and paying a higher power cost. We can always sell them at a profit and order more if it becomes a huge deal. I also don't think any additional donations will be necessary. The extra heat however does concern me. For that reason, today I've ordered a standalone air conditioning unit and will be paying a professional to install an exhaust duct in our dedicated mining area. In addition, I am also looking at having a custom electrical circuit installed to allow for additional expansion along with some security improvements. Things are going to start getting really exciting, and there are still two rabbits waiting to be pulled out of my hat.

It will be a while. Most likely several months as it takes time to do things right. I will say that I am exploring additional ways for NastyFans to receive donations with nonnakip. I am also exploring ways to increase the hash rate per seat, without requiring any additional funding from current seat owners or diverting donations to NASTY MINING. The A/C unit I ordered has arrived. This should allow for our ASICs to perform very well if BFL releases more "experimental" drivers, as they did with their FPGAs.

It seems that BFL has greatly increased the price of their products (source: BFL Products) and lowered their expected hash rates. They have also promised to honor all presale hash rate and price promises (source: BFL_Josh). This should be viewed as good news for us, as it will slow the growth of the overall network and make our preorders that much more valuable.

I must say, I'm amazed about the confidence Nasty Fans have in you OgNasty.
After the recent fuzz about BFL I hoped I could pick some seats up for ridiculous small prices, but jet all Fans seem to stay very calm.
That really speaks for you.

Nastymining and Nastyfans rock! My second favorite investment after asicminer. While everyone else was sitting on their hands waiting for an exchange or running for the hills (fuck you FPGAMINER- Moparwhateverasshole! and I am sure many others) OgNasty stepped up and took care of business. That goes a long way with Nastyfans and that is why Nastymining will go far.

I think also the way we get seats without API etc. (like on the exchanges) keeps people who are in for the quick trade / buck away. Less hectic, if you know what I mean.

OgNasty, There are rumors that ASICMINING will be auctioning some of their rigs and shipping them immediately. As far as I'm concerned that would be a great opportunity to acquire some non-BFL ASIC's. What do you think?

I haven't looked into the power usage of ASICMINING equipment vs. BFL, but if it's competitive I don't see why we couldn't place a bid.

Competitive or not, ASICminer has a product, BFL doesn't, so ASICminer = good, BFL = not good Anyway, there's nothing to compare to as BFL doesn't have power usage for their models yet...

... Quoted for emphasis / contextWow, finally time for the FPGA to ASIC trade-in procedure( I'm assuming this was cut-copy-pasted from an email) Dear FPGA Upgrade Customer,
We are nearly ready to begin shipping and we want to give you time to arrange your trade-in so you won’t lose any time getting into ASIC mining. We are putting forth 3 ways to help you get your miner as quickly as possible...
((...snip...)) Based solely on my own opinion, it looks legit... See link:MAR 15, 2013: Send your FPGA Trade-Ins @OgNastyWhich method are we using? ...Have you received any similar email or communication from BFL? We'll be using the regular trade-in method. I'll ship our FPGAs out to BFL as soon as I get the word. As of yet, I have received no communication from them.
The sooner the better. We're way ahead in the queue, so let's use that to our advantage before the difficulty skyrockets. We could earn those ASICs back in matter of weeks right now.
totally agree! I personally agree; however OgNasty pays for the power out of his pocket so I would like to hear his opinion. yes, but naturally, we would have to donate back for that (the extra power), out of our donations we get from OgNasty I have no problem with rushing the first few units and paying a higher power cost. ((...snip...))
Is there any reason we can't have BFL immediately send 5 of the 10 units (having them place the other 5 on hold) so we have 5 ASIC units running as early as possible? ... and then like... we send in all of the previous-generation (FPGA) BFL singles for trade-up program to release the other 5? Wouldn't that be the most efficient way to make sure we can actually take advantage of being a low order number?

I think it might very well be competitive since BLF's specs have been quite severely adjusted earlier this month. I remember a post in the ASICMINER thread where someone calculated the MH/J based on BFL's old specs and ASICMINER was only slightly worse.

Does that take into account that OgNasty isn't getting donations rightnow? Is that ~0.008 BTC?
