So I just came across this site that ripped me off for about 15 USD in paypal over a year ago. Not sure why i never did a chargeback, I must have forgot about it once I quit using paypal to be honest.

It doesn't look like it's "cloud mining" (in the context of this thread). It's a remote control interface for your mining hardware, which they confusingly decided to call "cloud mining".

If they're legit they're probably running the actual miners somewhere else. Which introduces yet another third party risk vector.

That's very possible, but it doesn't mention anywhere on their site that their miners are run outside of Australia. It sounds like the whole operation is based in Australia. We'll have to wait awhile to see if any news comes out of this operation, because I definitely have a couple questions about it.

I feel comfortable with Hash and Bit, but perhaps not putting in even more money. Diversify, might be good

It seems suspect to me. What if you pick a shit pool and the mining doesn't cover the fees? Why would an operator want to assume that risk?

According to their site, HashCoins is their first service. HashCoins is ASIC manufacturer but they are liars. HashCoins Bitcointalk account isn't online since March. They may have a small ASICs setup for mining but this is obvious ponzi. They didn't even provide an image. Don't invest there.
