Why do you guy use worse exchange rate in your wallet than other wallets and other than what your site shows?
For instance I sent 197$ worth of btc from my blockchain wallet and in my ecoin account it is only worth 191$ and if I try to load the card it's worth something around 189$. Live rate at e-coin.io shows it's worth 197$ now. So basicaly I am losing 4-5% of my money when loading the card.
Is this your fee or?
Yes, they are playing with an exchange rate. Actually they are one of the most expensive ways to withdraw bitcoin. I have made a comparison last week: | Xapo | Wirex | Cryptopay | Spectrocoin | Uquid | Advcash | USD for 1 BTC | 911.38 | 889.62 | 883.85 | 906.7 | 907.59 | 898.33 | Margin from Bitstamp rate | 0.61% | 2.99% | 3.61% | 1.12% | 1.03% | 2.04% | Price and maintance of physical card for one year (in USD) | 20 | 29 | 27 | 21 | 28.99 | 14.99 | Loading fee | 0% | 0% | 1% | 0% | 1% | 1USD | Final amount for 1 BTC (in USD) | 891.38 | 860.62 | 848.01 | 885.70 | 874.06 | 882.34 |
The Bitstamp rate was 917.00 at the time of calculation. So I would recommend you to use xapo or spectrocoin as it seems they have much better rate and fees structure did you do your analysis in real time exactly at the same moment? BTC exchange rate is a lot more complex than just looking at Bitstamp website. Firstly, not everyone works via Bitstamp, we don't, for example. Secondly, rates differ between different exchanges. Thirdly, when more volatile than usual, those differences in rates between various exchanges become even bigger. So, really have to look into your methodology, but the conclusion of 4-5% being "lost" is grossly overestimated, that's certain

Usually my blockchain wallet, google conversion and coindesk.com rate differ by less then 0.5%. When I load my card I always get 5% less then the amount calculated by those exchange rates. I gave you exact numbers based on 200$ load in my last post.

even the fact that your 5% doesn't match the other users' "cases" speaks for itself. Do you think you are "charged" more than any/everyone else?

I have some tips for those of you who linked their vcc to paypal. I know it's a little offtopic, however it is something I searched for many hours and did not find a response for. So I am sure I'd help a lot of members. Here it is:
If you link a VISA VCC from Wirex and verify it with the code, you will probably won't be able to withdraw to the card for a time period of minimum 5 days and possibly 1-2 weeks. You will get an "Internal Server Error" every time you enter the amount and click "Continue". That error is BS. In fact, Paypal is trying to "protect" the account. By adding a card, it is possible an attacker would be able to cashout the balance through an anonymous VCC (and paypal is aware of the card).
Solution:
There is no ACTUAL solution, but here are some tips: - the old paypal.com/wdfunds link solution DOES NOT WORK; you'll get a similar error - the paypal app won't work either; there's no option to wd to card using the app - do not try to withdraw every single day! leave the account untouched with funds in it for a couple of days (3-5) and then try; if you get that error again, repeat after 3-5 days until you will be finally allowed to withdraw - sending and receiving various transfers to/from trusted paypal addresses might also help - alternatively, you can call Paypal support and they will try to reset that, however it is not guaranteed. Paypal support might also lie to you and after the call could imply limits to your account (that depends on your history and many other variables).
I hope I could help.
1st withdrawal after 1-2 weeks???

No I don't think I am being charged more than others. The fact is that you say the card loading fee is 0$ or that the fee is 0% when in reality your exchange rate is 3-5% worse than average exchange rate. If you disagree with this I can compare your exchange rate with an average rate over the course of one week just to prove it because I have been using your service for a couple of months and I see this. Just to make it clear I think it is perfectly normal for you to have some kind of fees since you have to earn money to operate service somehow. But I don't like the fact that you don't want to admit to this and say how much is the fee because it clearly isn't 0%.

It's a matter of wording. Other wording was used before and it didn't really work well. On the other hand, try to find a better buy BTC rate than we offer. No one is complaining about that for some reason

On Wirex, there are two exchange rates: One for buying bitcoins and one for loading the card. The "Buy Bitcoin" rate is higher than one for "Load Card". But other than that, What you see is what you get. There are no fees for loading your card or Buying Bitcoins in Wirex / E-Coin. To verify this, please go to the website www.blockchain.info and search the Bitcoin Address number Wirex gave you to deposit your bitcoins on the right corner search panel. Then, compare the amount of bitcoins you sent to this address with the amount you received on Wirex. It should be practically the same.
