Your security is very important for us and we put a lot of efforts to ensure that your funds are safe.
In order to prevent any fraudulent activities, we are imposing a three-day hold for bitcoins when you buy bitcoins through e-coin.io.
We are confident that this is a temporarily measure to be withdrawn once our extensive risk-mitigating policy and measures are in place.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Any update as to when that will be?

does it even work?
I guess we will have to wait for someone to try it out. Just to be clear, this is the same as buying a prepaid card right? Yeah it is pretty much a card that you can top up, so a top up card. A debit card uses one of your bank accounts so you don't really have to top it up as you can just tell your employer to put your salary straight into that card. you still do have to top up any debit card - whether it is done by yourself or your employer. Technically speaking, nothing stops you from telling your employer to transfer your salary to a Wirex/E-Coin card. Your employer may not want or be able to do so for whatever reason (bank in another country, etc), but that's a different story

I made a deposit to my e-coin account. Got the 6 confirmations hours of ago, and sent in 3 messages to get support from their support on what happened to the deposit. Are there still problems with this service? Luckily I only sent enough to get their card, but it's weird to hear nothing back and see nothing not even 'pending' on my account.

Is it 3 messages over the course of 5 minutes, or have you actually had to wait long?

We are currently experiencing quite an inflow of support requests, so, waiting times may be a bit longer than usual. However, response time is well below industry average of 6-7 hours. can you send your e-mail here or in PM so that I make sure your issue is addressed?

They always have issues. Using them only because I can buy btc with my debit card fund. They are useless without it. Again "Timeout by sending message CreateTransactionMsg to"

we have deployed a major upgrade to the platform (yesterday) which should reduce the number of technical issues.
Please, keep us posted on whether you see improvements or still have issues. It may take some time to address all the currently pending ones

I have same problem too. Deposit didnt show up on my account even confirmations are complete. Sent support ticket yesterday and theres no response. Their customer service did contact me yesterday and a nice guy named Mikhail took care of the deposit problem. It then was updated in the system. I was worried for a bit, but I was happy to see the deposit finally show up. It takes many hours for them to get back to you, so hang in there and let us know if you got your deposit. I'm also trying to move a small portion of the money out to ensure I can get money back before I throw a large chunk of bitcoins on the card. Currently, there's still issues with the automated system. I was using the "max" button which doesn't seem to work, so I'm contacting them about this. I was contacted today about it, and I'll try again with their suggestion of reducing the amount being sent and see what happens.
