Also, wallet will not sync.  I got the latest of the website like 30 mins ago.  I've tried without the .conf file and with the .conf posted on bitbean website neither sync.

You can download the BitBean blockchain from 3/15/16 at CryptoChainer.com.  Also, there is a way to display different denominations in Settings / Main,  change it to BITB...

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Looks like coinwallet.co is closing it's doors, advising it's customers to withdraw their funds after they suffered a security breach.

This is a high priority alert and requires your immediate attention if you have any Bitbean on http://www.coinwallet.co !

If you use www.coinwallet.co to host any Bitbeans, you must withdraw them before May 1!

You should withdraw them ASAP as they have just had a security breach!

You can get your own BitBean wallet here:  http://www.bitbean.org/downloads.html

Team Bean is ready to assist you, if you should need:  http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#teambean

Following is the official Coinwallet Announcement:  https://www.coinwallet.co/closing

This is what I used for windows. From the MinGW shell:

Libleveldb.a and Libmemenv.a

    cd /C/BitBean/src/leveldb
    TARGET_OS=NATIVE_WINDOWS
    mingw32-make libleveldb.a libmemenv.a

Berkeley-db

   cd /c/deps/
   tar xvfz db-5.3.28.tar.gz
   cd db-5.3.28/build_unix
   ../dist/configure --enable-mingw --enable-cxx --disable-shared --disable-replication
   make

Hope it helps.

thx for answer. i do not have the exact errormessage atm but problem is that my executable always terminated with an I/O error from the blkindex.dat. i will try your flags (--disable-shared ) in the next time and check the sourcecode at this point.

I guess it's the "will of the market".... the positive side is that BitB is back again to bargain prices. This gives a chance for more people to get BitB at a cheaper price and there so creates dynamic and volume on the market Wink

I wouldn't be worry and once the downtrend bounces back BitB will eat away the sell resistance in a flash Wink

Meanwhile picked a little bit more on this dip.... Wink

Sorry, I have not been here to post much lately, have been very busy!

Expect many developments coming out before the end of the month.

The best way to keep abreast of some of the goings on are to visit our official IRC channel:  http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#teambean

I'm available on IRC some of the time, but won't be checking in here too much in the coming weeks. Really trying to nail down and finish some of the many projects on going currently.

If a matter is urgent, best to reach me via email:  admin@bitbean.org

BitB is a bargain right now!

no or not all, this are the bitbean adresses of cryptsy.
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bitb/wallet.dws?9338.htm

my coins are still in this wallet

$65k marketcap for bitbean is a bad joke, but why not. I can pick up some of this cheap coins. many other crapcoins have more capitalization, it's a good chance.

i can;t seem to open my wallet.. error is "error loading blkindex.dat"

Use a process of elimination to resolve:

Rename the original data directory (appdata/roaming/bitbean on windows) and
create a new folder appdata/roaming/bitbean

Checking the database integrity:
copy into this the contents of original data directory without the wallet.dat
   fire up the bitbean wallet.
A new wallet.dat along with a new wallet address should be created.

Checking the original wallet.dat:
Copy only the wallet.dat into the empty bitbean folder
   Fire up the bitbean wallet
This would start a re-sync and may take some time.
I think there are some up to date sync'ed data directories available to cut
down the time it takes to sync.

To get back to where you were, delete the new bitbean directory and
rename your old folder back to bitbean.

To protect yourself in the future, backup the bitbean directory as well as
wallet.dat. You can then recover from that if your wallet goes tits up.

Hope this helps
