I am in fact totally new to this thread....

I have BITB coins for a while on Bittrex and would want to have them on a personal wallet.

Could your tell me where to find the up to date desktop wallet and HOW to do to install in my computer?

Thanks in advance.

The easiest way to get control of your BitBeans, if you have an Android, is get the Android BitBean Keychain App (formerly called a "wallet"): http://www.bitbean.org/downloads.html

No need to wait for the blockchain to synchronize, after you install it, it is use-able right away!

can i stake bitbean coin using android wallet?

I just installed the desktop wallet for windows using the link in the OP of this thread.

Hope this was the right link to use.

The fact is that while installed, this is telling it is out of sync (which is normal),
but I DON'T see the sync process going on....

Is this normal?

It should have been starting automatically while opening the wallet, right?

thanks for your help

It should sync in seconds, please check your firewall and verify if the QT file is allowed or if the 22460 port is also allowed.

It may take a minute or two before it shows the sync. If your firewall is not blocking port 22460, it will start.

Upcoming release v1.2 will have major performance improvements.

As I am really not experienced with wallets and even less with fixing when not working,
I am not sure how to check for those stuff you told me.

How do I check for my firewall ?

Sure enough, this particular wallet does not start to sync even after a day LOL!

ok, I got an idea....

for another wallet which was not syncing as well,
I installed a .conf file, and it SOLVED the issue.

So, could it be what is required here, adding a .conf file.

In that case, what are the nodes number I should put INSIDE the file?

thanks for your support

Try this :

rpcuser=xxxxxxxx
rpcpassword=yyyyyyy
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=21461
port=21460
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256
addnode=104.236.223.182
addnode=150.101.230.179
addnode=162.255.117.105
addnode=164.132.25.194
addnode=188.134.72.213

addnode=85.114.142.88
addnode=86.5.28.9
addnode=88.206.187.1

I got the addnodes by copy and pasting them from:

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bitb/#!network
and clicking on the node list for Version 1.1.1

You can add the other node lists as well.

for a "normal" Client without commandline you need only

Code:
port=22460

add this lines if you don't need a logfile

Code:
printtoconsole=1
debug=0

I think "Version 1.1.1" is only mac, you can use all this IPs too

after the first start you can delete the addnode lines because the wallet save all ip's in the peer.dat

the most important thing is the Firewall. local port (is normaly 22460) remote ports must be set to "all". check your Firewall for forbidden/block rules (executable file or net protocol), this rules are higher priority as a allowed rule.

if anyone needs a peer.dat, I can publish a download-link. (this is a 24/7 node)

Sure enough, this particular wallet does not start to sync even after a day LOL!

when will 1.2 come out? any eta guys?

I just installed the desktop wallet for windows using the link in the OP of this thread.

Hope this was the right link to use.

The fact is that while installed, this is telling it is out of sync (which is normal),
but I DON'T see the sync process going on....

Is this normal?

It should have been starting automatically while opening the wallet, right?

thanks for your help

It should sync in seconds, please check your firewall and verify if the QT file is allowed or if the 22460 port is also allowed.

It may take a minute or two before it shows the sync. If your firewall is not blocking port 22460, it will start.

Upcoming release v1.2 will have major performance improvements.

v1.2 is slated for release end of August or in September.
It will be a major release, with performance and usability enhancements.

v1.X branch will continue in C++
v2.X branch will be Java+RUST (Java for GUI, RUST for Vault)

v1.1.2 will have no protocol changes
v1.2.1 will have a soft-fork

After v1.2RC English is released, we'll be offering bounties for multi-lingual translations. I would project this would be in September time frame. There is much work to do, so that projection is not set in stone!

According to exchangewar.info, they are the #7 largest exchange!

This is a case where we can be happy about BitBean not being on that exchange!

Decentralized exchange platforms are the future!

This is another case of why people should maintain their own control of their keys. Centralized exchanges and pools do nothing to help the security of the ecosystem.
