In a war, there are many battles. As for the battle of the first gen chips, ASICMiner has won.

Even with the current holding back of money for new investments, 200THs or something in the pipeline to be deployed next month, the dividends are at 25% of worth per year.
This looks to be either speculation, with a few latecomers panicking and some others wanting to have a part, rather than a real value adjustment, at least today. Down to 3, or even 2.7, I don't really know, although I would think that with the practical experience Asicminer has because of their prior runs as well as running a huge, energy dense datacenter, that they are well positioned in the next round.

Wow! It's down to 2.3/share. I might have to get more BTC to buy more...

bad news is coming, there is large holders that get the news first, thats why prices drop since they have way more shares they get out faster,

im sure its gonna get down to atleast 2.0 each, and some that didnt get a chance to get out, or the ones that really believe will still be there, once the news hits, it will drop....

wow shares are 2.3 each now? nah buy walls at 2.5...

I am not saying that your prediction will not be realized, but an individual is not supposed to be sure about the market prices.

The last timeline:
Quote
Project Timeline

August-September: Deploy/sell all hashpower arriving in July and early August.
September-November: Deploy/sell the hashpower ordered at early July.
November-December: Experimental products of 2nd-gen chips and modular large-scale deployment solutions.

Do we know how many TH of 2nd-gen?

Capitulation can be used to identify bottoms, but, unluckily and not surprisingly, capitulation itself cannot be predicted or identified.

To all those saying "the biggest problem with AM right now is the price has dropped", you need to learn stock ownership 101 basics: if you think a stock is worth owning and the price has dropped, it merely has gone on sale, go buy more.

I may do just that. needs to go to 1.9 for me to buy.

When did Asicminer find its last block?
And why has it stopped to do so?
I mean is the tagging gone or what?

don't let me make you question your assumptions

Why has the hashrate dropped the past weeks?
It dropped in different few days. Some of them are internal hardware/network glitches, some of them are luck based. We haven't identified any form of DDOS attacks recently though.

Looks like that glitch might be much more serious than we all thought...

Today we had a difficulty change.

Yes, but AM appears to have completely stopped hashing... I know it is about 2 am in China, so worried this issue might not be resolved for a some time...  Question for anyone that knows about chips:  is it possible that the first gen chips after started failing after hashing for so long?

Could also be bad luck.
