imo there has been a significant shareprice correction but 1.5 and lower seems absolutely undervalued.. hope i am right and we'll see >2.00 again soon

Yes you are right but be realistic and expect a correction to a stable 1.85BTC, That is until Friedcat gives and update or we would see a significant hashrate increase.

Your valuation is based on exactly what?

The fact that ASICMINER share price usually and "relatively" stabilize between 25-28% div to share price per year, (latest div against share price).

If the network hashrate continues to increase at the same rate it has been for the last month or two and AM keeps self-mining at ~50TH/sec then the dividends are going to keep getting smaller and the share price is going to keep dropping.  I don't see the trend reversing until the Gen2 hardware starts coming online.

Two pages ago, actually.

What if friedcat does that on purpose? It allows him to buy back the shares very cheap.

Only the bold part is missing then.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Seems so. And that's really amazing: Investors got a div of 0,01 per share this week and the share price drops about 0,25 per share. Who is so silly to talk about annual yields of about 25-28% in this situation? This security isn't measured in years, it's measured in weeks. And there are 15 upcoming weeks until end of December. So you can still stay staring on even lower divs every of this 15 weeks. Good luck.

Hello,

How much would 250 shares of ASICMINER be worth right now on face value? How much in dividends would it produce?

Doing a trade and doing my due diligence. Thanks.

ok then is 0.5% weekly sounds better for you? Per year is a measure we do on stock markets and it is more than 30% yearly yield due to the latest divs

Yeah I guess we are pretty silly....... Don't know why we pay more attention to Vyced posts more that the intelligent post that is above.

I totally agree with you. But this "staring at annual yields" this week took me to drop my 100 AM shares right before div payment - thinking: Is it a good decision to be happy of getting 1 btc as this weeks div and losing 25 btcs after the share price dropped? I decided to drop my shares before receiving the div.

Next weeks div will be around 0.0075. The shares will drop to around 1.6. That's my estimation. Hopefully I'll be false.

http://world.time.com/2013/09/21/super-typhoon-usagi-set-to-hit-southern-china/

"...On its current path, the typhoon is set to directly hit the coastal metropolis of Hong Kong, which, blessed with one of the world’s most sophisticated storm preparation systems, is already readying for the worst. Leading regional carrier Cathay Pacific has suspended flights, while the city’s busy port traffic has slowed to a halt..."

As a shareholder, I hope the hatches have been battened and company assets are safe.  But as a human, my best wishes to FC and crew. Be safe!

Hopefully you will start to add your rationales to your estimations.

1) AM is still hashing ~ 50 TH/s. 2) Gen-2 will start hashing in December. 3) The network diff raises ~ 30% every 12 days. 4) Hardware sells are going down, because buyers now may understand the business plan of AM.

RESULT: Hashing income ~ 0.0035 per share. Hardware income ~ 0.004 per share. Share price ~ 1.6.

Thanks for posting freedomno1.  I think such milestones at competitors are definitely worth posting here.  It definitely has a great effect on AM's share price and valuation.  Personally to me, this still does not prove that they are legit.  They could have just used some of the IPO funds to buy some blades.  If they really had chips, I don't see why they would have such difficulty snapping a few pictures.  But I will leave that discussion for Labcoin.  Thanks for posting!
