Interesting. In your case, what was the source of the problem? I know PF and unbalanced loads can screw up a 3 phase system, did something else catch your mining farm as well?

I can always count on the over 9000 memes. Even when it hits 90,000 people will still have the memes on speed dial.

I remember when all this started in February. Neil deGrasse Tyson was asked what he think about covid-19 and possible pandemic. He said this is all a big experiment. Experiment about if people will finally listen to scientists or not.
Smart people will, problem is the dumblocks can drag us all down. And this is just a dress rehearsal: 2-5% death rate is nothing compared to a 30-50% rate (what SARS was if I recall). Given today's climate I can see that going global. Maybe I need to stock up on 2 years worth of filters, not one. Hm.....

Hm. Amazon is out of P100 filter cartridges again. Glad I placed an order earlier last week when everyone was being assured that all was well... Simple truth: Reality exists, and I live in a country with complete and utter fucking morons. I'm now prepping for a year up from 3 months (assumed 3 months for nukes), not sure how long they will last if I have to wear 8 hours a day at a "job", still have the option of retrofitting them with HEPA filter material if needed. Because P100 respirators are the *only* thing that will keep you safe when a piece of shit Trumper/Anti-Vaxxer/Plague victim decides to assert their "rights" around you. Oi. Likewise if a company doesn't have a 100% masks on policy in the office I'm not working there. Fuck that. Edit: Citation of National Academy of Sciences paper: https://www.pnas.org/content/early/2020/06/10/2009637117Note: Early publication, may not be fully vetted. Summary: Our analysis reveals that the difference with and without mandated face covering represents the determinant in shaping the trends of the pandemic. This protective measure significantly reduces the number of infections. Other mitigation measures, such as social distancing implemented in the United States, are insufficient by themselves in protecting the public.

Meantime looks like Vegatta has competition: WOKE MAN! (It's a fucking weird series, but funny anyway)

Interesting, though I would guess that China's shitcoin will have all sorts of built in features to allow price and volume to be manipulated at will. Bitcoin would be a threat simply because you can't fuck with it by decree. Can't have that....

Interesting thoughts about whether we would keep human form or evolve into a "connectome". https://www.wsj.com/articles/looking-forward-to-the-end-of-humanity-11592625661 [could be a paywall, but not for me] During the months of lockdown, a sharp division emerged between people who work with information—images, words, numbers—and people who work with objects—shelving groceries, delivering packages, nursing the sick. The former can shelter in place and communicate through screens, but the latter have to venture out into the physical world, putting themselves at risk of infection... ...As technology makes it possible to escape more of the burdens and dangers of physical existence, this class and professional divide could deepen into an existential one, with a virtual elite being served by an embodied working class....
2030-2040ish...sitting on a balcony in a citadel's loft...powering up Ryzen 700...activating avatars...checking night's account activities...the day's work is done. Profit re-invested in more assets. Sent connectome 239/EAG beam to the Mars colony to see how it could venture there. Eloi, meet Morlock.

Maybe I'm on acid, but the https://www.worldcoinindex.com/ site is hilarious this morning.... #1 coin of course is SODAcoin which has had a trading volume of 153.16 Quadrillion coins traded today. It's up +74536124.69% But the true value is GEMS, up +9984000815.62% today. Wonder if everyone got in on the ground floor...

Yeah I'd have to agree with Torque: IT is really starting to suck. Cloud makes it worse, now you have no control, no real input, and all the responsibility when your vendor fucks up. Which they do and their answer is "so? who gives a fuck, send us that money".
Coupling that with the bullshit of making cloud "op/ex" which means it competes with staff for money. And when that "op/ex" is really a 3 year commitment with minimums that can't be lowered without massive penalties, the only choice is to fuck the workers. Sounds like cap/ex to me, but that's yet another way they fuck you.
Go back to the past, the future is not what it used to be....

Afternoon all. On the good news front, it looks like P100 filter cartridges are back in stock, so I think I'll be laying in a 1 year supply. Glad people aren't buying them anymore because all is well in the world....

Sure, its worth a try. But I was never able to get BFGMiner ,Mainline, to work with either of my Monarchs. Only the original hacked version that BFL supplied worked. It sounds like that's the version he has too so he should be good to go.
Did they only have two power plugs?
|
|
|
Sure, they will work. And since the admin page is on the controller/beaglebone you can set the speeds. But really, what is the point: By modern standards they are quite slow. Maybe solo mine with them and see if you can hit a block.
|
|
|
It should. As I remember, the 3 power units would also run on later versions of BFGMiner, which is nice cause you don't need to put in all those extra oddball drivers to make it work under Windows. Give BFGMiner a shot and see how it works.

Jesus. Dallas County reporting 24 hour COVID19 infections over 400 people. Was 300 last week.
Very ungood.
Its playing out like this in a lot of places Bob. People been cooped up too long...getting squirrely. Not much of a surprise with hundreds of thousands out protesting all on top of one another swapping spit. Of course MSM wont attribute the uptick on that...afraid of being called racist or something. fml Yeah, but people don't seem to be dying enough. Maybe that is a lagging indicator but dying people are harder to hide or fudge, unless we have a massive weekend at bernies going on....
