rate it for what because your goal makes the whole process very different!
for example if you want to make profit from an altcoin then this "rating" is based on the volume and pump-ability of that altcoin which may also be reflected in the size of the orderbook and the exchanges it is being traded at.
but if it is the potential for being used as a currency then you have to begin to become more technical about it. start from the whitepaper of it then follow up with testing the wallet and sending some coins. check out the features that it has and whether there is real demand for those feature.

i don't really follow Verge news but i am fairly certain that the dump has nothing to do with alleged hacks and whether it is true or not! well obviously it is not true because if it were price would have fallen to zero.
in any case price is dropping and Verge is getting dumped hard because it was pumped recently and any bubble needs to burst. that is inevitable.

some people in altcoin board live in the fairy land instead of the real world, that is why all these shitcons get pumped and dumped so i guess we have to thank them too because they are practically giving us all this profit!

you don't have to use technical analysis to know that bitcoin is heading towards $10k and above. you just have to understand that $10k has been the real value of bitcoin based on its supply and current demand. if the panic dumps and FUD never came price would have been $14500 right now but now that we had those, price took a detour and now it is coming back to what it really should have been all this time.

mining has always been profitable and will remain profitable and it doesn't matter much how much the price is. the difficulty will always make sure it remains profitable in the same level as always.

the rest i can agree with. and i believe we are going to see $11k before this month ends which will be going back to normal once again.

i personally will always prefer to buy bitcoin directly instead of buying something that is related to bitcoin such as ETFs or anything else similar that needs some sort of third party and regulations.
if you want to diversify then buy things like NVIDIA stocks which you had your eyes on instead.

it is just a new way of advertising bitcoin cash and playing with newbies heads making them think of they burn 12% of the total fee they gain the supply will decrease and price will go up! imagine empty blocks with 10-20 transactions that are paying 1 satoshi/bye fee and they are burning 12% of those

what they are burning is nothing compared to the supply of BCH and the fact that there is no demand for it.

this actually proves that bitmain has huge amounts of BCH stored thanks to the difficulty manipulations they did for a month or so.

besides who is to say they are not going to fork BCH tomorrow and make the funds in that address spendable? they certainly control the mining of it and the development of it.

you can only be safe and make profit if you buy at the bottom. any other time you invest you will be taking a huge risk specially when a rise after a bottom happens. because these rises are usually dead cat bounces instead of being start of a real rise.

i am holding some of it too but i completely disagree with saying it is to "diversify" anything because it is not. BCH is a useless shitcoin but because of the "support from Roger Ver and Bitmain" it will get pumped after each massive dump of it and right now it is the time for its pump and that is why i am holding it.
BCH was 0.09 and now it is 0.12 which is  a 33% profit on my valuable bitcoins when i dump BCH.

there is no such thing as asic-resistant.
there are coins that can not be mined with the current existing ASICs but there is nothing stopping a mining company to start manufacturing new ASICs compatible with them.

it is just a pump that has been happening for a lot of altcoins these days. they each take a turn for getting pumped. today's pumping coins are Bitcoin Diamond, Ripple, Kin and bitcoin cash.
yesterday it was Verge, Monaco and i have already forgotten the name of the others. and tomorrow it will be another  couple of coins being pumped.

we are not going anywhere, it is just money that is flowing from newbies pockets into whales pockets and eventually invested in bitcoin.

Tron is one of those smaller altcoins that is getting pumped a lot so it has good short term potential for making a quick big profit out of it. there are also a lot of hardcore bagholders of this coin which makes it easier to dump after each pump because they don't dump and you have enough time to make a move so it is a very optimal choice for traders these days.

fiat pairs already exist on big exchanges such as Bitfinex, Kraken,... and even small exchanges like Cryptopia and Yobit,... and to this day there has been no change in anything. people are trading altcoins with bitcoin most of all because they want some place to invest their bitcoin!

check out a couple of these spam topics asking "how to earn bitcoin" and you will see that in all of them the majority are saying "trade altcoins".

growth is an ongoing thing. it does not have a start and end date so you can't say it is around the corner, instead you should say growth is already here.
and growth is not just about price constantly going up. it is about the adoption and the fact that there is a lot of money coming in and being invested in bitcoin even though the price may not show it at times.

first of all go to the announcement topics and check where you can sell them. there is always a link there. and also there are sometimes people there selling and buying coins and tokens in each announcement topic underprice if there is no exchanges available.

other than that you can go to https://coinmarketcap.com/ search the name of your token and check the market tab to see the list of exchanges having the token you want to sell.

that is true, they have been investing in bitcoin for years because it was already allowed even before the news hits the media. but also you shouldn't forget that this news is yet another official approval of bitcoin and that is always a good thing to have and will lead to bigger rises in long term.

people usually like the negative part more than the reality which means there are far more negative news about bitcoin than there are anything positive in the news, in reality there are a lot of positivity though!
also there are a lot of FUDs because people want to buy bitcoin cheaper and FUD helps that a little bit.

pumps have never needed any reasons! they happen to make expert traders richer and leave the newbies and the pump group followers poorer. they usually happen because of some news that may not even be important or in some case seven relevant to the rise. for example inclusion of the coin in some big exchange, or in this case announcement of a new program (the buy back thing).
if you check out the lists of coins you can always see some coin is getting pumped hard. for instance today Monaco is getting pumped!!!
