1021  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Copay: Open Source HD-Multisig Bitcoin Wallet – 1.0 Released on: August 20, 2015, 05:47:04 PM
Yeah, this is the technical discussion section, you can express your concerns here. I myself have been using for a while now (not regularly) but updated to the latest version a couple of days back. It has minor changes from the previous one, the fees can be adjusted to priority, normal or economy, there is a button to send all the funds in the wallet, I am sure there are other changes too but I haven't had time to check them all out.

So if you have found some bugs and/or problems, tell them here and they will hopefully try to fix them in the next update.
1022  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best antivirus? on: August 20, 2015, 05:30:17 PM
As far as I have tested, AVG turns out to be the best. Avast is also good but it might corrupt bluetooth in windows 8 . It may work for you good. A level 4 hacker has told me about avast that it had caught a virus that no other antivirus could. This is why such topics remind me of avast.

why it may corrupt bluetooth?

In my opinion ESET NOD32 is the best, I've used it for years and never had any problems regarding security.

Its not security that matters but privacy, and in some cases it's the same.

Instead of giving your credit card info and bank password so some thief in a 3rld world country ,now you give it to spies from your gov.

I was just thinking the same the other day but if you're on a windows machine then you have no choice but to rely on one of these antiviruses otherwise it'll get infected pretty quickly and there aren't much choices with open source antiviruses. I know one that is ClamAV but I don't think it will work as good as the other ones does.

And it's hard to only run a linux system as some of the apps don't work on it too great.

Actually you dont need an antivirus, you only need an anti spyware & firewall (that doesnt necessarly eliminate trojans but blocks them from transmitting data back to the hacker) & perhaps a realtime kernel analyzer, that detects suspicious activity in your windows system (a trojan horse trying to infiltrate in your system)

What spyware & firewall you recommend then? And what kernel analyzer can one use to detect suspicious activity?
1023  Economy / Gambling / Re: Horse racing on: August 19, 2015, 08:35:38 AM
Directbet offers racing from famous derbys GB, Aus etc. But not from Phillippines I don't think it's famous enough and which is why you wouldn't find any sportsbooks offering odds on it. There's a sportsbook whose owner is Manny apparently, it's called Vitalbet, you may ask them to add it.

Make sure to use escrow with this guy before doing any surveys.

Last time I completed the survey and only received 0.0001 after a month when he promised 0.001, so be careful

1027  Bitcoin / Electrum / Old electrum in Ubuntu repository on: August 19, 2015, 07:54:18 AM
Why is the Electrum's latest version not available on Ubuntu repositories?

The version available there is too old, I think it's 1.9.8 . I prefer to directly install it from the package manager as it auto installs the required dependencies but would prefer the newer one.

1028  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you buy and sell BTC in person? on: August 18, 2015, 11:54:39 AM
I buy from a local trader I found on LBC, he lives pretty close to my house and so far I haven't had any trouble with this guy, the first couple of times I was really cautious and would tell him to meet at a local cafe and would wait till the transaction had atleast 1 confirmation but now he trusts me and I trust him so when I call him and tell him I need this much BTC, I usually buy worth $50-$100 depending on the requirement and he sends it right over and then I walk to his house or the meeting point and give him the money.

1030  Economy / Speculation / Re: Shall we start selling all of our Bitcoins fast? on: August 17, 2015, 08:02:50 PM
Where can one see and check what percent of consensus is reached in favor of XT? Only asking because if I see it reaching closer to 75% then I might sell all my bitcoins and move on with my life because I wouldn't want to switch to BitcoinXT which is just another altcoin.
1031  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Local bitcoins is a toxic environment on: August 17, 2015, 07:56:23 PM
i am no longer using localbitcoins anymore for some time now, i don't like the system they have there. it is being abused and as a result the number of scammers is growing there. no i only sell to people who i know and worked with before.

LBC does seem a bit weirder now, especially with all the accounts getting sold and bought it's hard to know whether you're dealing with the same person you dealt with before or some scammer that bought the account and is waiting for his next prey. And I saw some complaints on reddit and elsewhere where LBC froze some funds of some accounts and even after providing the IDs and all they didn't release the funds and I don't know for sure if the people who got their funds frozen were scammers or not (according to LBC they were) but the sound of getting your bitcoins frozen at an exchange sounds scary to me.

1033  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: My doubt about signing bitcoin sign message. on: August 16, 2015, 02:49:07 PM
Is there no way to display the private key on the bc.info mobile app?

I haven't used it but if it works like the blockchain.info site then anytime you want to take backup of your keys you're asked to provide the password of the account and since OP says he forgot his password the app might not let him view the key.

So OP all this time you were sending and receiving BTC from the app, it never occurred to you take a back up of your keys, what would happen if one day you're not able to access the app? How will you take control of your funds then?
1034  Economy / Gambling / Re: 7Bitcasino - Ripoff report. Be safe on: August 16, 2015, 02:48:10 PM
This is why, i tend to avoid casino sites. You'll never know whats the catch in their bonuses Smiley

Many casino bonuses have many conditions before you can cashout.
This is the reason why I don't use bonuses offered by casinos.

Exactly right, I very rarely go for Casino's no deposit bonuses because a) I never am able to wager enough and b) there are always hidden terms which are written on the site somewhere but who reads terms and conditions? Cheesy

But OP did the Casino say it was No-Deposit Bitcoin bonus? I think for playing with bitcoin it's anonymous but if you play with Euros then you're only allowed to withdraw in Euros, otherwise people will deposit Euros and cash out bitcoins and they'll start using the site as an exchange.

1036  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best tipster in the forum on: August 15, 2015, 05:40:35 PM
Its a pretty decent idea but there should be some rules regarding who should be included in this tournament firstly, like in past couple of weeks I have seen some threads of newbie tipsters and I don't follow them all but I feel they're more like opportunists than actual predictors and they give out few free tips in the start and if they get lucky with their guesses they ask to pay for the expert tips and which is why I think only tipsters who are trusted and have spent some time on this forum should be included otherwise it might get abused with people making different accounts to get in.

This is just a suggestion, let's see if you can find some sponsors to start this thing.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 15, 2015, 05:27:41 PM
LOL this was a hilarious match, India only needed 153 runs on the start of the 4th day with 9 wickets in hand and they still lost with 63 runs remaining lol. Even teams like Zimbabwe, Kenya could have achieved that Cheesy
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for a poker site on: August 13, 2015, 12:12:18 PM
Sorry for me going a little off topic OP but I think you have already received plenty of replies on BTC Poker sites.

But what I would like to see one day is Zynga adding an option to play with BTC in their game, I think they already accept Bitcoins (read that somewhere) and it would be great if they add some tables where one could play at Zynga poker with BTC, it'll be great publicity for Bitcoin because a lotttt of people play Zynga poker and it does have a great interface. But I guess they'd have to apply for a license because then it would become a money gambling, maybe that's why they haven't done it by now. Undecided
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 13, 2015, 12:03:51 PM
At this point it's safe to say that India's victory is imminent, only thing which is left to be seen is whether they'll need to bat again or will they finish this game with an innings remaining.

Did anybody watch Natwest T-20's 1st quarter final yesterday, Northamptonshire were on fire Cheesy, never seen them bat so ferociously and thankfully I did place my bets on them, both for winnings and for maximum sixes. Smiley

What say about today's Match, Essex or Warwickshire? they both seem almost equal but I'll go with Essex .. or Warwickshire lol, not sure.
1040  Economy / Gambling / Re: youwon.nl - New bitcoin slots website. on: August 13, 2015, 11:56:39 AM
I have see you use the http://slotmachinescript.com/ but i don't have understand if the games is provably fair because whitout this, nobody play. Thanks
Therefore i made minimal bet 0.00005 BTC (1 cent) that anybody can convince that its really to win on my slots. Because the label "Provably fair" it's nothing more that label. Even online casinos with licenses can deceive their users if they wish.

Really, so all the Sites running with provably fair system is BS? I am sure you have research to back up this theory, would you mind sharing with us the results which led you to this conclusion?

I think you'll might have more luck convincing the people over at "Investor based games", Oh! they'll believe anything.
