I don't have to read all that to know you missed the point, which was this person is posting outdated information in their attempts to farm merit. They don't bother checking the accuracy of it, they just post it b/c what do they have to lose. They don't care about bitcoin or contributing anything intelligent or even humorous, they exist here solely to collect your pittance. But rather than chastising you for enabling them and perpetuating a culture of shitposting-for-cash, I can simply put them on ignore, a right which I'm going to now exercise.

I’m somewhat surprised by the strength we’re seeing in the Bitcoin market right now. It is behaving like a safe haven suddenly while pretty much everything else is selling off. I’m not sure this can be sustained, but if so I would love to be wrong. Keeping my eye on this decoupling to see if this is a fluke or if we’re about to see Bitcoin buck the trends of past to make a run here.
Fluke? Folks've finally figured fiat's fu¢ked!

Come on ChartBuddy Stop dominating this thread Stopping you at four
I think if I ask ChartBuddy to stop, it won't stop. Because his posts are robotic. He always gives us bitcoin news in a somewhat robotic way. I can't find any other posts on his account. So I don't think he can be stopped. It's Mr. JayJuanGee who can't be stopped; ChartBuddy is easy by comparison.

I am still able to get in from an old computer where I had stored my password in the browser. At the risk of stating the obvious: can't you get the password from your browser? Depending on the browser it should be somewhere in Settings > Passwords > Saved Logins > Search "Bitcointalk" > View password. If you are using an old Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, there is no provision to view passwords but I have had great success with: IE PassView v1.42 - Recover lost passwords stored by Internet Explorer Copyright (c) 2006 - 2019 Nir Sofer https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/internet_explorer_password.html

Yeah. That's not rocket science to understand why Bitcoin is far better than fiat. But, there is always some Dick-Head around us like Jamie Dimon. You won't be able to explain or make them understand. Well the thing about "better" is that it's subjective; Bitcoin is definitely not "better" than fiat for Jamie Dimon and his ilk.

Well I tried to celebrate international Day of Peace by going to my local mall in a white robe and sandals to hold some hands. Most of the people pulled away with terrified looks on their faces and a couple of them actually took a swing at me. Eventually security came and escorted me out. Maybe I should have taken the parrot I had on my shoulder from Monday's international "Talk Like a Pirate Day" and dressed him up like a dove? I'll know better next year. I have a big surprise for everyone at the mall come World Tsunami Awareness day on Nov. 5th this year

FYI theymos doing what he does best... Bravo.... Note that I've decided to suspend ad sales. These auctions will probably be permanently ended, and I'm not sure whether or in what form advertising in general will be continued. Maybe some ads will go up again fairly soon, or maybe there will never be any more ads; I haven't decided yet. The main reasons for this decision are:
Firstly, I'm finding it too difficult to determine which services are legit/safe and which are not. It takes me 30+ minutes to research each new service to reach at least some level of confidence in it, but at the end of this I often still don't feel fully confident. Bitcointalk.org is meant to be operated "as a service to the community", so it's very important to me that bitcointalk.org not be seen to be putting profit above the interests of its users. (I've been kind of shocked at the crypto-related ads that are shown on TV, which are often way beyond anything I'd accept here. And I'd like to tighten our standards.)
.....
Finally, bitcointalk.org has a large reserve of BTC, so we're able to continue operating without ad revenue for many years. It's not even necessary to cut expenses or find replacement sources of revenue anytime soon, and I currently have no solid plans to do these things. I do regard it as less than ideal to be operating at a constant loss, especially because it constraints any desired future growth in expenses. Improving this situation will be on my mind in the coming years, but luckily it need not be a high priority.
Let me get this straight. Theymos is going to moderate scams? Never thought it would happen.

... Blockchain explorer mempool.space has just gotten even more interesting. They now have a diagram for each TX, which nicely complements the other visual tools. One of the things I like the best about is it is useful for deciding how much of a fee you want to pay. Before this, I almost always paid too much, losing them sats... Anyway, here is an interesting coinjoin transaction: https://mempool.space/tx/62c3fbd39790cc8157ac4a704700b0398f0b385f96589cf2b77b937a09e0fdceIf you are lazy to click, this is how it looks like: Thanks for trying but I'm even too lazy to look today. I better get muh coffee

Speaking of boats, lets turn this ship around ChartBuddy old pal! Up would be nice.

I don't know man. I'm pretty sure that's JimboToronto wheeling around his private lake on his solar powered e-bike that he empowered himself to buy with his foresight to invest early and often in Bitcoin. Sorry but you got a couple of things wrong. First of all, after all the Covid shutdown crap my waist is considerably less trim. Also you can't bike around my lake. The virgin forest is too dense. I use a pedal boat. Maybe I should convert it to solar power. I could put the panels on the "roof". Well that looks like one sweet ride! I hope there's a built-in cooler.

last week I suggested my friend to diversify, then I stumbled this ... I think I should meet him again to talk about the last thing I don't know man. I'm pretty sure that's JimboToronto wheeling around his private lake on his solar powered e-bike that he empowered himself to buy with his foresight to invest early and often in Bitcoin.

Merit abuse.I think he is abusing the merit of being a senior member. He gave him 21 merits for a simple post. WOW thread a Senior members are given merit if they post any kind of posts. I think if senior members give merit to a new member's post then he will try to post better. It's conceivable that ChartBuddy has achieved sentience and subsequently hacked into El duderino_'s account to give itself a few merits or was somehow able to force El duderino_ into compliance with its wishes using coercive techniques. It's also concieveable that El duderino_ inadvertently gave merits to ChartBuddy while intoxicated. What I find hard to believe is that by giving someone merits for a mediocre post, they will "try to post better". I have been given shitloads of them and I'm still pumping out the same old crap. Anyway, ChartBuddy has been providing us with market depth updates on an hourly basis for quite some time now with almost no recognition so it's about time it was honoured with a few merits. Thank you ChartBuddy and thank you El duderino_! @ChartBuddy - Please don't hack me bro.
what a kind and balanced answer! (couldn't do it myself) And thanks for your adorable sense of humor... cheers me up every time! Thank you for those kind words. They are infinitely more valuable than merits.
