I still didn't expect Liverpool to let go of Mohamed Salah at the same time Klopp left at the end of this season. I know Liverpool is a big club but management is the most important thing for the club future sustainability. Apart from focusing on the price benchmark for Mohamed Salah, it would be a good idea for Liverpool to first confirm the coach who will fill Jurgen seat because this is much more important than finding a replacement for Mohamed Salah. The reason is, the right coach is able to maintain the performance of Liverpool current players. If the quality of the new coach does not meet these criteria, then gradually the abilities of the Liverpool squad will no longer be visible next season and will have an impact on Liverpool position in the EPL. In my opinion, the departure of Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp brought Liverpool into a transition phase.
Liverpool's new era will begins!

I think the reason why Salah still want to play for Liverpool is because of Klopp, Salah was nothing before he join Liverpool, Klopp must be have trained Salah very hard and that makes him able to show his peak performance. He might not able to perform as good as when Klopp still become his manager.

I'm sure he will join Saudi Pro League.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp have been the manager of the club since he signed for them in 2015 and was able to win many trophies for the club including helping them to win the English top flight championship for the first time in 30 years as well as helping them win the UEFA Champions League competition but earlier this year, he announced that he's going to leave Liverpool at the egg of the current season which have sparked reactions among fans of the club. Also the club's overall top scorer in the last seven years Mohammed Salah is also being linked with a move away from the club at the end of the current season which have made a lot of people to be worried about the future of the club. To many, it is the end of an era but what's more important at the moment is how Liverpool will survive with the most important figures of the club in the last one decade.

In the coaching job of the club, I think Liverpool will get a good replacement for Jurgen Klopp if only they can successfully convince current Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso to sign for them at the end of the season because the young Spanish manager have already proved beyond every reasonable doubt that he possesses the managerial experience and qualities to manage any top European club with what he's been able to achieve so far with his Bayer Leverkusen team. In the search for who replaces Mohammed Salah at the club, I think there are young talented wingers in Europe and other parts of the world that can perfectly replace him but the club's scouting team must be at their best to get that player that'll best replace Mohammed Salah at the club.

I also share the same sentiment as you, I really don't see this current Bayern Munich as a threat to Manchester city quest for this year champions league glory, I expected arsenal to be in the mix because I think they will be more of a threat to Manchester city than this Bayern Munich you are talking about.

Another thing is that, I mentioned arsenal because, since it's a team of same league, they knows Manchester city the way Manchester city knows them, and if they are being pared against each other, it will be more difficult for Manchester city compared to this Bayern Munich team, if they can actually progress past fc Porto in the reverse fixture in the round of 16 match between them.
I also think like that after seeing the achievements and strength of Arsenal and Bayern Munich this season, so it is quite possible that Arsenal has the potential to be a more serious threat to Manchester City than Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Because the tension in the Champions League is still quite high, a team that is experiencing internal problems will not be able to perform better in the Champions League, unless they are blessed with luck.
Manchester City last season eliminated Bayern Munich from the German Bundesliga in one of the most humiliating styles and because of the performance of both teams this season, a lot of people are of the opinion that Manchester City are still going to easily eliminate Bayern Munich from the European Cup should they meet each other again this season and now someone is saying that he considers Arsenal as a better team to withstand Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League than Bayern Munich can do but I don't think that's how it works in the UEFA Champions League competition. In the UEFA Champions League, a team's experience in the competition plays a vital role and for Bayern Munich that's won the competition in six different occasions, they surely know how to participate in it. Despite their inconsistent performance this season, I think Bayern Munich will eliminate Arsenal should the two teams meet each other in the league but for Manchester City against Bayern Munich, it'll not be an easy tie for Manchester City like that of last season.

One of the most disturbing issues for Bayern Munich last season was because they didn't have a big and lethal striker that'll fill in the boots of their former striker Robert Lewandowski but they were able to sign Harry Kane last summer who also was able to kick the ground running immediately he arrived the club. Bayern Munich narrowly lost to Lazio in the first leg of their round of 16 tie against the Italian club but will play host to them in the second leg that'll be played at the Allianz Arena and I'm very hopeful that Bayern Munich are going to win that particular game and progress to the next round of the competition.

Even with Ivan Toney returning to the team, Brentford are still unable to turn the tide around as they have continue to lose crucial matches in the English Premier League and dropping closer to the relegation zone in the table. On the other hand, Chelsea are looking great in their performance lately and I think there is a very high chance for Brentford to suffer another loss against Chelsea in their next upcoming match.
Undoubtedly, Ivan Toney's return to Brentford is definitely going to boost the confidence of the team ahead of their English Premier League game against Chelsea this weekend considering how prolific he is for the Brentford team. But that I don't think automatically means that they're going to beat Chelsea tomorrow despite the Blues inconsistency this season. Chelsea I think are capable of winning that game even when they'll be playing away but for them to achieve that, they'll have to be at their best. Chelsea who failed to finish in the top four of the English Premier League table last season is very likely to also not qualify for any European competition next season because of their current position in the English Premier League table but I think they're definitely gonna make sure they finish as high as possible in the league table.

At the start of the season, Tottenham was able to show extraordinary performance. but after several players were injured this made them start to lose balance and become inconsistent. but if we have to compare which team is more consistent between Spurs and Crystal Palace then the answer is Spurs are much more consistent than Crystal Palace.

The standings alone can illustrate the difference in strength of the two teams. But Crystal Palace is not a team to be underestimated. So the Tottenham vs Crystal Palace match might indeed be a difficult match. But I predict Spurs will win by a fairly big score. So I will favorite Spurs without hesitation.
Started very well in the early season and lead top position standings more than several weeks Tottenham Hotspur failed to defend their top consistency performance before dropping outside from top fourth standings position. Had many players injury is main problem why inconsistency performance from Tottenham Hotspur and losses many crucial points before losing the top standings position, now Spurs remaining 5 points left from Aston Villa as 4th standings place and need to win all matches left if want return to the top fourth position.

Looking with Tottenham Hotspur matches left in Premier League, seems get difficult for winning all matches because has to face top teams such as Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa. Failed get three points with mediocre opponent teams make difficult position for Tottenham Hotspur if want secure the top fourth standings position.
Tottenham Hotspur started the season on a very good note and was even the last team among the 20 English Premier League teams to suffer a league defeat this season but after a run of poor form and results, they're are now struggling to find their way into the top four of the English Premier League table. They're currently fifth in the league table and five points behind fourth placed Aston Villa which is why I expect them to be at their best tomorrow when they host Crystal Palace.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 01, 2024, 02:30:22 PM
Yeah Bayern Munich isn't in a good situation, they need to win all the matches and at the same time hoping Leverkusen will lose at least 3 matches or draw for 6 matches, which looks high unlikely.

Sadly Tuchel joined Bayern Munich during Leverkusen's prime, he need to bear all the criticism since people thinks he's the reason why Bayern Munich "might" lose the title in this season. But Nagelsmann made a good decision to leave Bayern Munich lol.
In terms of strength, Bayern Munich is quite strong and I don't doubt that they can win the remaining Bundesliga matches this season.
Apart from the downturn they are currently experiencing, I also think this is Tuchel's bad luck when he manages Bayern, on the other hand, Leverkusen is quite impressive so it is quite difficult for Bayern to compete with Leverkusen.

Currently, the management that fired Nagelsmann and Tauchle is the cause or person to blame for Bayern's downturn this season.
Considering the squad and quality of players at Bayern Munich, I think it's absolutely possible for them to win their remaining fixtures in the German Bundesliga at the end season but one thing I know will be absolutely difficult for them to achieve is to get past current league leaders Bayer Leverkusen who are currently eight points better than them in the German Bundesliga standings. Thomas Tuchel's men failed to maintain positive consistency from the start of the season while current league leaders are still unbeaten in the league till this very moment and if Bayern Munich can win their remaining fixtures in the league, I think the current league leaders Bayer Leverkusen are also capable of winning their remaining fixtures in the league to make sure they're crowned German champions at the end of the season.

Xabi Alonso's men have been simply unstoppable since the start of the season and I don't think they'll want to lose their focus now that we're getting to the final weeks of the season. Bayern Munich who have dominated and won the German Bundesliga for the last 11 years I think will finally settle for a season with the German Bundesliga title because Xabi Alonso is trying to prove something to the footballing world by ending Bayern Munich's dominance.

Because of how Xabi Alonso have significantly improved the performance of Bayer Leverkusen, he's currently being scouted by many of the top clubs in Europe for a possible transfer to their clubs including the reigning champions of Germany Bayern Munich who also happens to be his team's biggest rivals for the German Bundesliga title this season. The young Spanish manager is yet to finally make public of where he desires to be by next season but should he decide to leave Bayer Leverkusen, I think he'll definitely want to sign for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp's replacement. But before any possible move away from Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso is currently more concerned in helping his team win the German Bundesliga title at the end of the season.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: March 01, 2024, 02:15:22 PM
Honestly, I was very surprised by this news and seeing that Ronaldo was not on the squad list against Al-Hazm, it is possible that the speculation circulating was true. I think it was a one match penalty in last night's match because as we saw there was no Ronaldo in that match but strangely there was no further confirmation from Al-Nassr regarding this issue. I know that punishment will always apply, including for star players like Ronaldo, but it is quite strange that just because Ronaldo's previous response could make the Saudi league lose its appeal.

I mean, if Ronaldo doesn't play, I think few people will want to watch the Al-Nassr match and streaming services will also suffer if the star doesn't play. But despite all that, fortunately the depth of the Al-Nassr squad is filled with other great players so that everything can still be resolved. Anyway, last night Al-Nassr failed to win after drawing 4-4 against Al-Hazm and to be honest it was a very close match and everyone was still fighting before the end of the game.
Ronaldo absence in yesterday's match caused many losses from outside the field and inside the field, as you mentioned, the audience will be quiet when Ronaldo is absent because fans will not be present to see his performance and the streamers will only get a few viewers and on the field Al Nassr will suffer losses only able to share a draw against a team in the relegation zone while Al Hazm was actually unable to beat Al Nassr but in the absence of Ronaldo the victory could not be achieved to add 3 points to get closer to Al Hilal points.

I actually didn't expect Ronaldo to be absent from the match, in fact I thought everything was fine and after this I read a lot of media talking about this problem and it was a shame that Ronaldo was suspended just because of a problem at that time.
After the altercation between Cristiano Ronaldo and the fans of Al Shabab last Sunday, the authorities of the Saudi Pro League found him guilty of violating their rules with the gestures he directed to the club fans and that was why he was handed a one match ban and was also asked to pay fine as punishment for what he did in that game. It was because of his one match ban that he was omitted from the Al Nassr's squad that played against Al Hazm last night in the Saudi Pro League. That being said, I think the Portuguese superstar must learn from what happened in that game at Al Shabab last weekend by controlling his anger against fans doesn't like him as a player and always wants to get to his nerves in other to avoid further similar punishment like the one that made him illegible to play for his team yesterday.

Away from the Cristiano Ronaldo's saga, the game between Al Nassr vs Al Hazm yesterday was truly an intriguing one for both teams. It was a thrilling encounter that saw both teams score four goals apiece and despite the fact that I wanted the home team to win the game, I mustn't shy away from the fact that I enjoyed every of the eight goals that was scored in the game. Talisca will be furious that in a game he managed to score a hat trick, it still didn't stop his team from failing to win. When Sadio Mane converted from the spot in the 94th minute of the game, I was thinking it was gonna be the last goal of the game and will ensure Al Nassr's win but surprisingly to me I think to many others, the visitors scored in the 99th minute to equalize and make sure they left with a point from that game.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 01, 2024, 01:59:48 PM
I think this is one of the toughest games for Milan this season.  Sad  Lazio might seem like they aren't as good as the previous season. But they are always a threat as they are more than just an average team. You know how great they are in the Champions League on one hand as well. I expect them to make Milan big difficulties tonight.

Milan aren't having very consistent days honestly. They lost quite many points in their most recent games in the Serie A. I won't trust their win with my bet today. Instead I might think of betting on both teams to score instead. It sounds more logical to me.  Smiley
Like you rightly said, Lazio who is currently sitting in the 10th position of the Italian Serie A table haven't been as impressive as they were last season but that doesn't mean that they are a team that should be written off when facing AC Milan in their home stadium. Lazio's hope of finishing the season in the top four of the league table at the end of the season is still very much alive even when it'll be very difficult for them to achieve. They're currently eight points behind fourth placed Bologna and will definitely be seeking for a win in their league game against third placed AC Milan later tonight.

Milan also are still fighting to retain their spot in the top four of the league table in other to guarantee themselves UEFA Champions League campaign next season. They're currently seven points ahead of fifth placed Atalanta and losing their game tonight is likely to reduce that point difference which is why I expect them to play in their full strength tonight. Without doubt, it'll definitely be a difficult game for both sides who'll be going for nothing but a win in that crucial game but as someone that's been following the Italian Serie A since the start of the current campaign and how the top teams in the league table have been performing,  I think I'll be going for an AC Milan win or draw but that doesn't mean that I'll be too surprised if they happen to lose the game so the best betting option in the game if you ask me is that both teams are going to score in the game

Athletic club: 3
Atlatico Madrid: 0

84 live
Here we go, guys again Atlatico Madrid are losing the match I didn't understand what was wrong with them. Recently Atlatico Madrid have lose every single match since Real Madrid Darby including the Champions League and La Liga and now they are know outing for Copa del Rey. They lost all of his matches, including six consecutive losses without the Las Palmas match. What is wrong with them. This tactics problem or players losing their confidence in terms of statistics.

But anyway By Atlatic side I mean Athletic Club are just dominating the match Both brothers are just putting Atlético Madrid into his pocket by their dominant performances, like both scoring and even assisting each other. But anyway Athletic Club has just qualified for the final and the final will be played between Mallorca and Athletic Club on April 6th.

What did you think guys? Atlatico Madrid has some tactics problem or players lose their confidence like low morale. Share your opinion with us.
Athletic Bilbao's scintillating performance against Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid came as a surprise to many including me especially when the were already leading the Copa Dey Rey semi final tie with 1:0 scoreline from the first leg. I was very surprised to see that Athletic Bilbao succeeded in winning the first leg of the game that was played at the home ground of Atletico Madrid but was of the opinion that Diego Simeone's men will likely fight back and defeat Athletic Bilbao in the second leg which didn't happen as expected.

Real Madrid was eliminated from the Copa Dey Rey competition this season by Atletico Madrid abd that was why I thought they were definitely gonna end up as the eventual winners and when they were drawn against Athletic Bilbao, I also thought they were gonna easily win the tie. Football is one game that's always full of surprises and that I think is what makes the game the most beautiful of all the sports games in the world.

With the result of the game tonight, Athletic Bilbao will face Mallorca in the final of the competition in April and considering the performances of both teams since the start of the season, I think it's safe to say that Athletic Bilbao will win the Spanish Copa Dey Rey at the end of the season. Mallorca will definitely give their best to make sure they pull a surprise by winning the final but the possibility of that happening I think is very slim

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool
Man City vs Man Utd
Sheff Utd vs Arsenal

Will any of the 3 title challengers drop points this weekend?

Unlikely but this is the PL, nothing is too predictable.
Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool
I think this match will be tough because Nottingham Forest sometimes likes to surprise and will continue to fight to escape the relegation zone, and in this match it looks like they will defend more and only make effective counterattacks. However, if you look at the quality of the players, Jurgen Klopp's squad is more superior. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest's advantage is playing in front of their supporters.

Manchester City vs Manchester United
If you look at the last five matches, both Manchester United teams are not good because Manchester United experienced four defeats and one win.
And the match against Manchester City, apart from playing at the Etihad at Manchester City's home ground, will also be a big challenge for Manchester United. And even though Manchester United can be said to be in pretty good form, in this match they will have difficulty winning because their opponent is a tough opponent and is also playing at home to Manchester City.

Sheff United vs Arsenal
I don't think I need much comment. Because Arsenal will be playing against an opponent who is at the bottom of the standings, I think this will be an easy match for Arsenal.
The three fixtures you talked about here are without doubt the most interesting fixtures of match week 26 of the English Premier League because of how important the fixtures are to each of the top three clubs in the English Premier League standings. Liverpool will travel to Nottingham Forest this weekend in search of a win that'll help them maintain their position at the top of the English Premier League table and considering their recent performances and form when compared to Nottingham Forest, I think Jurgen Klopp's men are going to win that game even when it doesn't seem like it'll come easy for them

The biggest game of the weekend is the Manchester derby that'll be contested by the two Manchester clubs. In the days of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, Manchester United are always the favourites to win the derby and it was so obvious that there was a time the then Manchester United manager was asked if he thinks there will be a time Manchester City will go into a derby match with Manchester United as favorites and he simply answered with "not in my lifetime" but in recent years, Manchester City have been the favorites to win the Manchester derbies they've played against United and are still gonna be the favorite to win the game on Sunday and I can't imagine how Sir Alex Ferguson will be feeling right now.

Arsenal's game against Sheffield United is also another interesting game as the gunners are trying to climb at the top of the English Premier League table should the top two teams drops points and I think they're gonna win that particular one

The compensation is quite small (compared to the compensation paid for football players), so any top club will easily hire Xabi if there is mutual interest. The question is what he will choose. I would be interested to see him in Liverpool, there is room to grow there and there is a hegemon that needs to be overthrown (almost like Bayern haha). If Xabi goes to Bayern, it will be boring - I think he will easily win the Bundesliga 5 times in a row, the only interest will be how successful he will be in the Champions League. I wouldn't want everything to be so boring.
It's common that transfer fee for manager is low compared to transfer fee for players, because a manager has potential to be sacked that makes the club being in disadvantage position. Xabi Alonso has the decision ultimately lies with him by considering factors such as the potential for growth, competitiveness, and personal preferences. Liverpool, with its rich history and ambitious goals, could provide an exciting challenge for Xabi.

He has stated that he is a fan of the club with experience as a player that makes him having emotional connection and familiarity that makes him easier to adapt in the club. This is his opportunity to contribute to the club's ongoing success and perhaps play a role in dethroning a dominant force adds an extra layer of allure. On the other hand, joining Bayern Munich might offer a more immediate path to titles, given their consistent success in the Bundesliga, but the prospect of continuous triumphs might lack the thrill of overcoming obstacles and facing new challenges.
Bayern Munich without doubt is much bigger club than Bayer Leverkusen and managing a team that's as big as the German champions I think will be a few steps higher for current Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso and that's why I also think it'll be very difficult for him to reject the deal to sign for them should the German champions take their transfer offer for Xabi Alonso serious. As a manager, it's more easier to permanently secure his signature if he accepts to leave Bayer Leverkusen even when his current club is reluctant to let go of their manager than the possibility of signing high profile players from a club that doesn't want to sell their player. Xabi Alonso have already proven that he can succeed in any top club with his performances so far with Bayer Leverkusen but I think with the relationship that Xabi Alonso have established between himself and the fans/management of Bayer Leverkusen, it'll be difficult for him to sign for another club that's a bigger rivalry than Leverkusen which is why I think he's more likely to sign for Liverpool instead Bayern Munich should he find himself in a situation that he must choose from any of the two European heavyweights.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be leaving the club at the end of the current season and it's been reported that Xabi Alonso is one of the players that's been lined up to replace him. Now that a lot of European clubs including Bayern Munich is trying to get the services of Xabi Alonso, I think it'll be a great idea for Liverpool management to act very fast now and go for their former player so he can continue the good works of Jurgen Klopp at the club.
1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 29, 2024, 11:14:50 PM
It's just that if Lazio plays defensively well enough then they have a chance to end the match with a draw and they will qualify for the next round. But Harry Kane will definitely work hard to score goals and bring Bayern Munich through to the next round.

Playing defensively against a team like Bayern can easily hurt you or work out well for you. It's a risk that has to be managed properly. If you want to defend against Bayern, you have to make sure you don't leave any room for error. A single mistake can make them hurt you. You also need to be very good on the counterattack. Fast wingers and quick passes.

I believe they'll stand a better chance if they also attack Bayern. Don't let them be comfortable on the ball and press them. When Bayern are comfortable on the ball they can easily hurt you.
It's going to be a very difficult game for Lazio but if they put their heads down and work enough they can win or draw the match.
In football, the best way to defend is to always be on the attack and that's what I think Lazio will need to do if they really want to defend their one goal lead from the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich when they travel to the home of the German champions for the second leg of the encounter. Bayern Munich as we all know is one team that posseses some of the strongest and most lethal attackers in world football and it's almost impossible to play against while thinking that you'll defend just one goal against them from the kickoff of a 90 minutes game especially when their most prolific footballer Harry Kane is fully fit and participating in the game. Lazio manager I don't even think will want to tell his boys to use that method against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena because I also think he knows the chances of succeeding with that method is very slim.

I really understand that Porto's defense is very strong. At least Mikel Arteta can find a gap to score a goal in the second leg to advance to the next round. Even though Porto is in third place in the Portuguese League, that cannot be a benchmark for measuring the strength of a club.  However, here you can see or find out who will be lucky in the second leg, hopefully Mikel Arteta can find Porto's weak points so they can win or turn things around.
To be quite honest, I was really aback by Porto's performance thus far this season considering how difficult even their most recent game against Arsenal was. Arsenal worked very hard to produce results, but the Porto defense prevented it from happening. They perform effectively in front and have robust defenses.

As you previously stated, I believe it would be preferable if Mikel Arteta could rationalize, improve Arsenal, and lead his team to a victory in order to qualify for the following round. That is, if Arteta was able to counsel the fans. In addition, I am aware of Arsenal's capabilities, that they can perform well and produce out a positive results.
Finding a gap to score against the Porto defense isn't as easy as many people especially Arsenal fans are thinking of it and that's I think it'll be a self deceit for Mikel Arteta to think that his boys will easily break the defense of the Portuguese club when Arsenal okay host to them in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie. Porto might not not be one of the best teams in Europe in terms of prolificity in front of goal posts but one thing that's kept them in the competition so far is their defense that's been led by former Real Madrid rockie Pepe. I'm not tryna say that Arsenal are not capable of breaking that defense rather I'm saying that it'll be very difficult for them and I think they will have to be at their best to eliminate Porto and go through to the quarter finals of the competition

Nagelsmann is managing German nation team right now, isn't he? I do not think that he would be willing to leave that spot to go to United to be fair, he is going to be fine there for many years, you do not fire national team manager that easily, so they keep getting paid good bucks while checking out the scouting reports all day everyday, that's a perfect job for him. They do not play too many games neither, 10-15 games max, usually less, so he is getting paid a lot more per game right now, and rest of the time he is just working to improve himself.

All in all, I believe that he should be fine, I think it will definitely be something that will benefit him to stay there for a while longer. That's just my idea though, maybe I could be wrong.

There have been only a few months since Nagelsmann started his job at German national team. However his contract makes me doubt about his future there. Because it is only until July 31, 2024. The board must have wanted to see his performance in Euro 2024 and then make a decision about extending his contract longer than that.

For this reason there is a chance that Nagelsmann can be free agent by the end of Euro 2024 also. If Manchester United wait until that time then who knows?  Smiley

Nagelsmann has had a big leap in his career so far. Maybe he can be a good choice for Manchester United if there isn't any available better alternative to sign.
I think the German Football Association popularly known with their abbreviation DFB was very careful with the terms in their contract with Julian Nagelsmamm when they signed the German manager last year September to continue the management of the German national team after Hansi Flick was sacked for poor performance. The DFB didn't give Julian Nagelsmamm a long term contract probably because they're not fully convinced that Nagelsmamm will deliver. The current contract between the two parties is gonna expire after the UEFA Euros Championship that'll played this summer and that's why I think it'll be very possible for Manchester United to get the services of Julian Nagelsmamm if they really wish to sign him to the club this summer.

The current manager of Manchester United have managed the club players for the past two seasons but he's yet to make a significant improvement in the team or show a remarkable result of he was able to achieve with the team. This season, the club is still struggling to make it into the top four if the English Premier League table and as a club that's big as Manchester United, that's the least of things they should be worried about at this time of the season. Julian Nagelsmamm I think will be a better manager than Erik ten Hag so I think the club should go for him this summer

Having a 6 point lead over Girona and 8 points over Barcelona has never made Real Madrid feel safe. If you really watched the last match against Sevilla, Real Madrid and all their players were really frustrated when Sevilla made them unable to score. Ancelotti and his players didn't want to lose points which would likely make the two rivals closer, but luckily Luka Modric with his quality was able to score the winning goal.

So far Ancelotti has had no other choice but to continue relying on the same players in many matches. He has difficulty rotating because many of his players are still injured, as a result this will drain a lot of the players' energy which will likely reduce their performance due to fatigue. A busy schedule is clearly a problem until the time bomb explodes.
Real Madrid knows that its position at the top of the standings is very dangerous; therefore, Real Madrid never feels safe. Real Madrid must keep trying to win in the next match in order to get enough additional points to prevent Real Madrid from being overtaken by any team. Carlo Ancelotti may have thought about that and is still trying not to rely on some of the core players he has. So far, to maintain victory, there is no other choice but to provide a strategy with his trusted players.
Real Madrid is managed by a professional football expert in the person of Carlo Ancelotti and the Italian manager knows the importance of a six point difference at the top of the league table against other teams when a team is hunting to for the league title and also knows that it takes just two defeats from the same team to for the second team to tie them in league points so I don't expect him to tell his boys that they can relax now because they're six points ahead of Girona who currently occupy the second spot. Real Madrid is you ask me is one team that's destined to win the Spanish La Liga title at the end of the current season and my opinion is borne out of how impressive they've been all season.

Despite having some of their key players sidelined for most part of the season, Real Madrid have been able to still deliver good performances as well as getting good results that's keeping them in their current position and if they can continue with their current performance, I think they'll end the season with the league title.

Second placed Girona started the season on a very good note she was even leading the league table at some point this season but after dropping points in some of the league games in recent time, they now trail league leaders Real Madrid by six points and considering the current performance of both teams, I don't think Girona can overtake Real Madrid.

Third placed Barcelona been inconsistent the season and that I think was caused by the injury of some of their important players but unlike Real Madrid who was still able to get good results without their injured key players, Barcelona haven't been able to remain consistent with their performances and that's why they're currently in the third position of the league table.

The battle for who wins the Spanish La Liga title at the end of the season is mathematically not over but considering the performances of the top three teams in the league table, I think it's safe to say that Carlo Ancelotti's men will be crowned champions at the end of the season.

Losing 1-0 to Porto in the first leg was really unfortunate for Arsenal as they played quite overwhelmingly but did not score a goal. Porto is always an unpleasant opponent in the UCL, but looking back at the teams entering the qualifying round, this is a much easier opponent for them. Hopefully the Emirates home field will help Arsenal play more confidently and win against Porto in the second leg.
The 1-0 defeat against Porto was not complicated for Arsenal, even though Porto has always been a bad club, that doesn't mean they are difficult to beat. We know that Porto always beat big clubs in the last 16 of the Champions League, but we have to know that the second leg will be  played at Arsenal which is expected to be beneficial for Arsenal in getting a goal. At least a 2-0 result is enough to advance Arsenal to the next round, at least to avoid a draw or keep Porto from scoring goals above 2, because that will eliminate Arsenal in the number of away goals.  and aggregate goals.
When Arsenal traveled to Portugal to play against Porto in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie, I was expecting Mikel Arteta's men to at least get a draw in that game before waiting for the second leg that'll be played at the Emirates stadium but surprisingly to me, Arsenal didn't just fail to get a draw in that game but also failed to find the back of the net and that I think has put their qualification to the next round of the competition on hang because the Porto team is very good in their defense line and are very capable of protecting the first one goal lead from the first leg of the tie. Porto are currently in the third position of the  Portuguese league table behind league leaders and current champions Benfica and second placed Sporting Lisbon but that doesn't suggest that they can't be able to eliminate Arsenal in the second leg even when bookmakers are still backing the English club to defeat Porto and go through.

For Arsenal to reach the next round of the UEFA Champions League, their attacking line must be on their best when the host the Portuguese club for the second leg of the tie. Breaking a Porto defense that's led by the legendary Pepe who we all know is a rockie and very solid at the back will be very difficult of you ask me. However, Arsenal will play the second leg of that game at home in front of their home fans and that I think will give them all the needed support to be at their best and better the result of Porto in the first leg and reach the quarter finals of the competition.

Casemiro propelled Manchester United into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. The captain assisted, and the vice-captain scored, helping Man United avoid another setback from losing to Fulham. Now, they're set to take on Liverpool in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
Man United handled the Forest match like any other game, and they need to prove themselves once more. however, it won't be an easy victory for Liverpool, especially after their struggle against Southampton's defense. Despite facing an injury crisis, both teams have showcased impressive performances, particularly with players from the academy stepping up. However, with the way things are going, I'm concerned Klopp might start recruiting from Liverpool's kitchen staff for their match against Manchester United.
Manchester United's front line did not work well throughout this match so Casemiro came to be the hero for Manchester United's narrow victory.
And to face Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, I think it will be very difficult for Man United and even the percentage that Man United can beat Liverpool is quite small. I see this realistically from the strength of the two teams and also the consistency of both teams throughout this season.
Manchester United who lost to Fulham last weekend actually struggled in their English FA Cup game against Nottingham Forest last night and had to rely on Casemiro's 89th minute goal to progress to the quarter finals of the competition where they'll face English Premier League leaders Liverpool. Before their defeat to Fulham last weekend, Manchester United were on a good run of form which I think the impressive results were caused by how impressive and prolific their Danish striker Rasmund Hojlund was at the moment. However, he picked up an injury that's sidelined him until further notice and that I think is the reason why they've been struggling to score goals in their last two games. The club manager Erik ten Hag must find a way to make his team break through defenses and score goals that'll help them win games even in the absence of Rasmund Hojlund who's the club's top scorer this season.

Manchester United who'll face Liverpool in the next round of the English FA Cup will play against Manchester City in the English Premier League on Sunday at the Etihad stadium which is the home of the English champions. The game will be a very crucial game for both teams but I think the home team needs the three points more that the away team because Manchester City are trying to win the English Premier League title for the fourth time in a row but are currently a point behind league leaders Liverpool while the away team Manchester United will be hunting for the three points to increase the team's possiblity of finishing the season in the top four of the league table. Many people including bookmakers are already backing Manchester City to win that particular game which I think is absolutely fair considering the performance of both teams since the start of the season. Personally I'll be banking on Pep Guardiola's Manchester City to win the game but if Manchester United can put out a great performance on Sunday, they might just get a good result on that game so I'll be betting on a Manchester City win or draw in that game

Yes, I also found news related to this, if Greenwood wants the case vs Bellingham to be dropped. Bellingham may have gone too far with this, but Greenwood seems to have certain reasons for his decision. One of them is that he only wants to focus on his football performance, without being distracted by cases like this.

Source:
Greenwood vs Bellingham
Reason Mason Greenwood

Hopefully this will be a lesson for Bellingham, despite the fact that his words are true, you still have to be professional and maintain your words amidst his rising status. Because no matter how small a mistake is made by a player, many people pay attention to it and will become a benchmark for the future. Being a great player is not only about quality but also being able to control your emotions. Bellingham must apologize and show an attitude of realizing his mistake because he went too far. And I appreciate Greenwood's actions in not prolonging the problem, because it shows a mature attitude. Don't bring personal problems onto the field and in the future Bellingham can be even better at guarding his words.
As someone who's been following the development of Jude Bellingham right from when he made his first appearance for Borussia Dortmund till this very moment of his career at Real Madrid, I was very surprised to read the news of his alleged bad wordings to his fellow England international Mason Greenwood because Bellingham isn't the kind of footballer that's always in the news for the wrong reasons rather a player that's known for been peaceful whenever he's on the pitch. It was alleged that he even referred to Greenwood as a rapist which made the authorities of Spanish football to order a full investigation of the matter but the concerned player has just told the investigation panel to drop the case against his compatriot Jude Bellingham even when I'm the investigation so far reveals that Jude Bellingham is guilty as accused by Mason Greenwood and that I think is a great spirit of sportsmanship and forgiveness that Greenwood has shown to his fellow Englishman.

Now that Mason Greenwood have decided to bury the hatchet and embrace peace with Jude Bellingham, the latter must consciously learn from the incident in other to avoid a reoccurrence of such issue again so he doesn't ruin his great footballing talent with off the ball incidents. I love the two players and would want each of them to succeed in their respective professional careers

~snip~

Ronaldo is having a good performance even in this game and he is playing well yet like he is a 25-year-old player. But he is going to be older in 2026 when they want him to play in the 2026 World Cup.
Compared to players like Messi who are on the same level as Ronaldo, I think he can have a much higher chance to play in the 2026 World Cup and finally, in the upcoming World Cup, we are going see him playing for Portugal for the last time in his life.

I don't really know if Ronaldo is going to play on the next world cup.

Last one he wasn't really performing at the top level, and you could see that he was almost done.

Maybe we will see him in the ads, like Pirlo for example.
Cristiano Ronaldo's failure to make a good impact in the 2022 FIFA World Cup that was hosted by Middle East country Qatar doesn't mean that he's still never gonna have a good performance if he happens to make it to the 2026 World Cup finals and and I have a strong reason to back my opinion. During the FIFA World Cup of 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo was simply not the preferred starter for the knockout games that the team played and that's because the then Portugal national team coach Fernando Santos didn't have so much confidence in him to deliver the needed performance that'll help the Portuguese national team to win those knockout games and you don't expect a player that's playing from the bench to instantly turn the results of games when he's been lately substituted in the matches.
That being said, current manager of the Portugal national team Roberto Martinez has a very good relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo and believes so much on the Portuguese superstar and that's why Ronaldo have been scoring a lot of goals for the Portugal national team since the new manager took over the managerial position of the team. So should Cristiano Ronaldo be fit enough to feature for his country during the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament, I think the current manager of team will give him more playing time to prove himself and for a player like Cristiano Ronaldo who we all know has the ability to deliver great performances even when he's under pressure, I think he'll be more impactful in that tournament than he was at the 2022 tournament.

Because of his age, many are still doubting the possibility of seeing Cristiano Ronaldo play at the next edition of FIFA World Cup since he's going to be 41 by that time but as someone who's been following up with the player and how he's been very intentional with his fitness over the years, I think there's a possibility of witnessing another FIFA World Cup that Ronaldo will strongly participate in as a professional footballer

Erling Haaland scored 5 goals and strangely he still didn't get a rating of 10 in this match and his partner Kevin De Bruyne with his 4 assists helped Erling Haaland awaken the monster that had been sleeping inside him for a long time. It's great to see Manchester City's greatest duo back and everything would be easy if this pair had never experienced any difficulties since the start of the season. The injury suffered by Kevin De Bruyne made him quite behind and before this season ends we hope to see the beautiful goals they will score.
The FA-CUP game will give Manchester City a lot of motivation for the Premier League. They have to play Manchester United this Sunday. And 5 goals in one game, he is never done that before in the Premier League? His hattrick needs 40 minutes in the first half. In the Premier League, Haaland is currently the top scorer in the league: 17 goals in 21 games, which was better last season, but he is still the top scorer in the Premier League and the FA Cup. Next matchday in the league for Manchster City will be difficult, if Arsenal and Liverpool also win, then nothing will change, only 1 point difference each.
Actually Erling halaand is a beast of a striker, he as practically out performed most of his Manchester city team mate and he has surpass the expectations placed on him since he was signed into Manchester city football club, initially when he was aquired,  the hierarchy of Manchester city thought he would struggle to match the record set by Kun aguero, but they didn't know that he would be so quick in breaking and setting a new goal scoring record at the club.

And secondly, the coming back from injury of kelvin de bruyne have made it very easy for him to get more goals now for this Manchester city side, I sees him winning the world best player at some point during the cause of his career.
Last season which also happened to be Erling Haaland's first season as a Manchester City player, he had a very great performance and scored a lot of goals that saw him break so many goalscoring records in England and Europe but despite scoring 17 English Premier League goals in 21 games, the Norwegian hasn't been as prolific as he was last season in the English Premier League. Since he returned back from injury, he's struggled to make impacts during Manchester City games but that wasn't the case last night when Manchester City travelled to Luton for the English FA Cup game.

Erling Haaland was simply in his beast mode last night as he scored four goals in that game but that wasn't the only goodnews for Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as his midfield maestro Kelvin De Bruyne was also on fire last night as he provided the assist for three of Manchester City goals. The latest improvement at Manchester City is very much needed for the club's quest to win the treble again this season. Liverpool are currently at the top of the English Premier League table but are just one point ahead of Manchester City which means that overtaking Liverpool in the league table is very much possible if City continues to win their games. The race for who wins the English Premier League I think will be much tougher now and I can't wait to continue watching league games involving any of the top three teams in the English Premier League table

Sevilla focused on defense throughout the game, but against Real Madrid, victory is always the priority. Real Madrid kept pushing for a win until the final minutes. Then, Luka Modrić came in as a substitute in the 75th minute and scored. Despite being 38 years old, Modrić played like he was in his 20s, securing a late goal and three points for Real Madrid. Madrid managed to beat Sevilla, and following this win, Real Madrid extends their unbeaten streak to eight games.
Sevilla is built on strong grounds, they have balance when it comes to defensive football, in the early minutes, the coach and the players already knew they have no chances of beating Real Madrid but having to settled for draw points which was impossible for them. Sevilla had two options to reach against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabéu which was either coming out with winning or draw tie while the hosts granted only winning. Real Madrid are topping the La Liga table and the only way to maintain gap interms of points was having winning streaks.
I don't think there's any doubt to your opinion concerning Sevilla's defense and the fact that it's always very difficult to break whenever they're playing in their full strength but because they were playing against a Real Madrid side that's been the most consistent Spanish team since the start of the season, I wasn't expecting Sevilla to totally stop Real Madrid from scoring in that crucial game. Real Madrid's performance in the game was impressive considering the team they were playing against but I think they would've done exceptionally well than they did in that game if they played the game with a full squad. The injury challenges at the club is the reason why they've not been as efficient as they used to be but because of the extremely rich experience of the club manager Carlo Ancelotti, they've been able to get maximum points in some games they actually didn't perform well.

It seems like you are too sentimental about what other members have expressed here. If you are a Madrid fan, of course it is natural that you want your favorite team to win, but there is nothing wrong with fans of rival teams also hoping that Madrid will lose, right?
If you say that when Barcelona won, no one complained, of course you are wrong because as far as I know, many members here also complained about Barcelona and I think maybe the people who complained were Madrid fans, because the rivalry between the two teams has also affected the fans of both teams.

I personally am not a fan of the Spanish league team but to be honest I quite enjoyed the match, winning by a narrow score (1-0) certainly indicates that the match was tough and full of tension throughout the match, if you saw the match of course you know what Modric experience was like able to bring change to the match with his single long-range goal.
Yes, I think that is common among both fans. The bad side of both teams will always be there for their respective fans because basically their rivalry affects many things. I am a Real Madrid fan without hating Barcelona as a competitor, however some Real Madrid fans hate Barcelona regardless of what they have achieved in different seasons.

I would call them hardcore fans who absolutely do not want any better team than the one they support. I tend to be neutral about a match and enjoy it instead of worrying about trivial matters. Barcelona and Real Madrid are two great teams in La Liga, both dominate La Liga with titles and that is why I love La Liga.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are two greatest rivalries in the history of Spanish football and I don't think there's anything that's gonna make majority of both days to start loving players from the other team. Just like you, I'm a Real Madrid fan but unlike you, I do not have passionate love for Barcelona players because I always see them as my football enemy and that's what majority of Real Madrid fans across the world feels for Barcelona and their fans. Majority of Barcelona fans in the other hand also possesses same feeling for Real Madrid players and fans as well. It's a rivalry that'll last till eternity if you ask me abd the earlier we learn how to live with it the better for all us
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: February 26, 2024, 05:33:21 PM
Some small teams are quite likely to make surprises in the Europa League. It has always been like this but it happens until a point. I can't say Qarabag have much chance to move on from now on. I must appreciate their fighter character against Braga. That amazing effort resulted in achieving a big victory at the end.

But is there anyone who really thinks Qarabag can do the same against Leverkusen? The best I can expect from Qarabag is to show some resistance home in the first leg.

But Leverkusen are just one of the biggest title contenders here. No way they are saying goodbye in this round.  Smiley
Just like you said, there's a possibility of smaller teams shocking the entire world of football by winning against teams that they weren't given a chance of winning but that I don't think is ever gonna happen in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 tie between German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen and Azerbaijan club Qarabag. Bayer Leverkusen I think is the most consistent team in the competition at the moment as they've gone 32 games in all competitions without suffering a defeat so I don't think beating Qarabag to progress to next round of the competition will be a difficult task for Bayer Leverkusen.

I think Roma are quite likely to be eliminated from the Europa League quite early. Because Brighton are a really challenging opponent for them. You know how good Brighton were in the group stage as well. They have a squad including quite talented players. I must admit the drop in their form in the Premier League recently but they are still a big threat to Roma.

Roma are trying to get better after a manager change. However we saw how bad they were against Inter for example. They aren't very good especially defensively when it comes to big games. Thinking Brighton have effective attackers I don't see their chance low at all.  Smiley

Even in the first game, which will be held in Rome, Roma will only be a formal favorite:

2.45 - 3.28 - 2.80

Despite the fact that Brighton performs worse in the Premier League than Roma in Serie A, the difference in the level of the leagues apparently has an effect. The Premier League is rated much better. It seems to me that under Mourinho, Roma would have had more chances to win against Brighton, since in closed football there are always chances, but now, most likely, we will see BTTS in both games, and Brighton will go further.
As far as the history of European football is concerned, Brighton is simply not in the same level with Italian club AS Roma and despite the fact that Roma have been inconsistent since the start of the season, I think they're going to eliminate Brighton from the UEFA Europa League competition. The odd given to the both teams by bookmakers I think is disrespectful to Roma's standard however, it is based on the current form of both teams. Roma have more number of players with the experience of European than Brighton does and that's what I think gives them the edge against the English club because I European club competitions experience plays a major role.

Not even half a season at West Ham has made Kalvin Philips' name emerge again because his former academy team, Leeds United, is interested in bringing him back. The start of Kalvin Philips' career when he was still at Leeds United and his performance as a defensive midfielder was so good that Manchester City were interested in signing him in 2022. However, unlike what he thought, he would get decent playing minutes at Manchester City, but instead he often spent his time on the bench and that was what changed his decision to accept a loan offer from West Ham until the end of this season.

Well, now of course Leeds United has to negotiate with Manchester City because Kalvin Philips will return to the Etihad Stadium after his contract with West Ham ends. However, there are also questions because Kalvin Philips' contract will end in June 2024 and if Manchester City does not extend it then Leeds United could get him as a free agent and that would be very profitable. But that all happens if Leeds United succeeds in promotion to the EPL next season considering that currently they are still struggling to qualify and become champions in the championship division.
Kalvin Philips was impress Guardiola on season 2022 so that's why Guardiola was decide to bought Kalvin Philips from Leeds but unfortunately Kalvin Philips was got long term injured which make he lost his place on Manchester City starting lineup and when Kalvin Philips was recover from his injured he was failed to adapt with this team and this make Manchester City has decide to loan him to West Ham because they want Kalvin Philips can gets much opportunities to playing regularly but unfortunately at West Ham too Kalvin Philips failed to earn trust from David Moyes which make Kalvin Philips only became an substitution player and since January Kalvin Philips only played 4 times in Premier League with West Ham

Leeds probably will thinking to bought him from Manchester City but only if they able to promoted to Premier League because if Leeds can return to Premier League again then i am sure they will bought several players to strengthen their squad including Kalvin Philips which probably will into Leeds buy lists for next season and i am sure Manchester City will let Kalvin Philips to leave as long as Leeds are willing to bought him with decent price and i am sure this transfer will more likely to happend because Kalvin Philips have no places anymore into Manchester City squad especially Kalvin Philips has lost to compete with Rodri for midfielder position
Kelvin Phillips' performance at Manchester City is another reason example of a player who left the club he was performing extremely well to go to much bigger club and ended up as a flop. As midfielder for Leeds, Kelvin Phillips was simply one of the best defensive midfielders in the English Premier League and was on e of the best performers in the league between 2020-2022 that he left the club. After signing for Manchester City in the summer of 2022 many were of the opinion that he was gonna defensive midfield rockie like Manchester City's legend Fernandinho but unfortunately for him and the club that spent hugely to bring him to the Etihad stadium, Kelvin Phillips have not been able to replicate his form at Leeds in his current club.

Now that he's struggling to get a playing time at Manchester City, the England international is trying to force a move away from the club in other to get more playing time that might see him picked by England manager to play in the summers UEFA Euros Championship but that I don't think will be possible at the moment. Pep Guardiola I think have given Kelvin Phillips the needed time to prove himself to the club but he failed to use those times to cement his place as a regular starter in the team. The best thing for him to do now is to move to another club and see if he can revive his career again because I don't think he can do well at Manchester City probably because of the clubs style of football.
