1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can antminier s1 mine other coins? on: August 06, 2014, 08:28:14 AM

Can Antminier s1 mine other coins other than bitcoins as long as it has SHA256 algo?
It most certainly can.  As a matter of fact I have one of my S1's configured to point to multipool as a tertiary pool and I've had it kick in twice without seeming to have any issues.
1062  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 06, 2014, 08:24:18 AM
ANTMINER S3 Batch 6 sales open. 0.66BTC per S3 will be shipped on August 12th, shipping cost included.
Hope B5 see's some coupons.
+1 that.  Expecting to get my unit(s) tomorrow!  I'm getting so stoked.  Are the coupons typically contained with the units themselves or are they transferred to our account's after delivery?

Trying to see if I can round up enough satoshi's to place an additional order for batch 6 assuming all goes well tomorrow.
1063  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Join our Bitcoin Mining Competition on: August 06, 2014, 08:21:26 AM
Great idea for a promotion to draw users to your site.  Heck, if I wasn't so poor atm I would probably dust off one of my BFL jalapeno's and connect it to my laptop to point at your pool and snap a quick photo Smiley
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is My Rig good for Mining? on: August 06, 2014, 06:37:42 AM
Absolutely not.  You'll burn far more in electricity and wear and tear (particularly if this is your main computer) than you will ever generate in coin(s).

Anybody else getting '500 - Internal Server Error' message for cryptsy?

.2 btc for bfl mini rig
Dude!!  Just had to quote this for future reference.  Gotta show my buddy that had ordered the 1.5TH big boy from them and lucky for him sold it almost as soon as he got it.  He'll be amazed that one of the 3 are getting these kind of offers!  BFL really screwed a great number of people over on these puppies.  Have a few of them sitting cold in my computer room right now (jally's, not the big boys)
1067  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: AMT_miners and the hot dog trick (New & Improved) on: August 06, 2014, 03:33:53 AM

*no longer thinking about purchasing their gear
1068  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: AMT Summer Garage Sale!!! on: August 06, 2014, 03:31:06 AM
Not looking too good for AMT fire sale at this point.  I was actually thinking about giving that 24 hour escrow concept he mentioned a try on one of his cheaper units.  Holding off on that idea for the moment.

buyback at -10%?  Why not at full IPO price rather.  It's not like they haven't been raking in the hosting and admin fee's this whole time!
1071  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Free electricity, only to pay 60 pounds per months + 100 GBP for mining bunker on: August 05, 2014, 05:52:41 PM
It appears from your pictures that dust might be one of your biggest enemies for hosting mining equipment.  Sounds like a fairly reasonable price for 5-6kw though assuming dust wouldn't be a factor.
1072  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 624GH/s Worth of Equipments on: August 05, 2014, 03:07:51 AM
How much to ship the X1 to the US? Don't need speedy delivery, unless it doesn't make much difference.
Also interested in shipping within the US.  Not trying to step on any toes but if shipping isn't too bad put me in line behind btljuice.
1073  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: August 04, 2014, 07:40:35 PM
Sadly it looks like there are some pretty big petamine bagholders that are thinking the same thing.

170001 highest bid currently.  This puppy is crashin quick!
1074  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Win Free Bitcoins Each Hour at CoinLearn.org on: August 04, 2014, 07:05:44 PM
And CoinLearn gives so little coins, it's not even worth calling it a faucet.  Wink The concept was good at first, but now you get the same information repeated 10 times a day.

They should add lots of information, and pay more, to make it worth your time. Reading 2 lines of text to gain 21 Satoshi is just not worth it.

Anyways... it's better than nothing, but would put you in a negative, if you subtract the electricity, you used to read the site. {Time based}
Hopefully the dev. will decide:

Ok, proof of concept valid...check
Time to bring in the big money with tons of specialist content to create the world's very first bitcoin-based professional student exchange.  Your pick from any number of vetted (whether officially or via their contributions) academic's and scholar's available for variable rates and broken down by subject matter.  Squid gun!  Oh yeah!!

Welcome aboard.  Your in for one helluva ride I can promise you that! Smiley

Avoid investing in scams.  And the best way to do that is to simply buy and hold.  Cold storage or an uber-secure laptop that you don't do anything but bitcoin on.  Make backups of everything, private key's, pass-phrases, etc.

*Treat your coins as you would treat your own hard earned cash and don't give it to anybody you don't know just because he has "the next big thing" and because everybody else seem's to be doing it.
1076  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie here on: August 04, 2014, 06:35:42 PM
Peruse the threads and figure out what service or good you have to offer that might be of some use to people with bitcoin and start advertising in the appropriate thread.  i.e. Services, Marketplace, etc.
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is good? on: August 04, 2014, 06:31:36 PM
with cudaminer i get 22-25 khash/s with a nvidia gt 540M...
is that good? (yes) how can i improve it? (don't think you can)

sad but true

Actually, just looked up specs for GT540M and typically people only average around 16KH so your actually kicking some serious butt!  Try not to burn that puppy out to quick!

Haha.. WOW, I would get surprised if I saw that , try to look under those rocks, you might get lucky and find a iPad loaded with bitcoins..!
lmao...no chance of finding an iPad loaded with bitcoins seeing as how way back then Apple was still officially banning bitcoin :p
1079  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: August 04, 2014, 04:53:51 PM
I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that share price hits the 23 or 22 range by this time next week barring some miracle :/

Think it's time to offload a few more shares sadly
