Crypto?

What the fuck you investing in that amorphous shit for?

looks like JJG has borrowed programming from the reddit SATA bot on r/gpumining.. anytime the word SATA the bot activates and posts about not using sata plugs for power delivery.

i think you put "no bot" after the trigger word to stop the bot.

so, quick test....

CRYPTO

CRYPTO no bot

lets see what happens

Are u referring to the "royal" lets or the "non-royal" lets?tm

#justasking

[...img delete]...

I'm going to say "bloody Mary" three times to see what happens, too.

#justasaying

ok so "no bot" failed

As a gpu miner, I was forced to use win 10 although I prefer win 7. But there are bat files which turn off everything you want. The updates are a bit trickier but with some google hints I managed to make it appear that I turned them off completely. In case I want some software from MS Store, I temporatily allow the update services. In this way I think I have a full control of my Black box windows.

I know that whatever update I allow will not roll back my changes nor add other backdoors because I trust M$ to have my privacy as a top priority.

FTFY

for a mining rig i dont care about MS win10 spyware. after all mining rigs should be dedicated to one thing - mining - so should have no personal info on it and MS can feast on that info for all i care.

my miners are on a separate network that has zero interaction with my other networks as i have one for the trusted house computers, one for the miners, and one for IoT (read: specialized, mostly useless tasks) that contain attack vectors galore with no security updates for 90% of the IoT crap out there. stuff. none of those networks can see the others.

my mining rig needs windows as some of the mining programs for my FPGAs require it. and it is easy to shut off windows update so no worries about new drivers breaking things and reboots that leave your gear  sitting there doing.. nothing at all useful.

Speaking about visible debauchery, since I got my 4th covid shot (better be safer than sorry),

same vaccine across all 4? which vaccine? and how far apart were to doses?

of course feel free to ignore all that and not answer (its your business after all) but im curious.

1st thing is remember to spend only what you can afford to lose.

think long term (4-5 years).

dont chase perfection and trying to time a top/bottom exactly just getting on the right side of a buy/sell can be good enough if you can do it fairly consistently.

when in doubt, walk away for at least a day. or maybe a week or more. no checking prices/forums/etc. clear your head and take another look.

dont trade on emotion.

be aware it can all crash to zero so TAKE PROFITs here and there. it makes multi year bear markets waaaay less stressful.

obligatory not advice although the above worked for me.

edit: the above applies to bitcoin. since i dont do shitcoins (aside from mining shitcoins to trade for btc) i have no suggestions for altcoins aside from staying away from them. most are junk and will not be around long term.

I'll ask you for a little assistance in the merit issue  Grin
I'd gladly be the bad guy Tongue But that gives me a conflict of interest: having less participants increases my own odds. And I don't like conflicts of interest Sad

yeah whoever is the "merit abuse gatekeeper" should not be in the game imo too.

Just for fun: maybe require a certain number of Merit to be earned in the WO-thread (before the game started).

but then everyone will flood the WO thread with shitposts.

oh wait...

i generally do a quick rinse with distilled water or 90% iso after the dishwasher (doesnt take much). then air dry in front of a fan for like a week. im generally not in a hurry.

At first I thought it was a joke.. maybe I should try with some legacy hardware first. Thanks for sharing it, never had this idea ! Is it really necessary to rinse afterwards with distilled water?

How did you come up with using the dishwasher in the first place?

i do, distilled water or iso rinse is so no residue is left behind (minerals, salts ets that may be in regular tap water).

i was a smoker the only way to clean that residual smoke was iso alcohol or a degreaser and rinse. did some web searching and found that, in general,  low voltage solid state electronic devices are remarkably tolerant of water as long as power is off and its completely dry when power is applied.

definitely try on some old expendable stuff 1st. not responsible for damage etc if you try it and you kill it. i am an internet rando after all.

And also, when I write "blipp" I mean contactless payment, where you only put your card next to the terminal and it goes "blipp" and the transaction is done. It's called "blipping" in Sweden, I don't know what it's called in English.

afaik, there is no word, but we have a system where you gently touch the pad (no insertion of the chip).
maybe it should be called 'bumping'.

i hear it called "tapping" ie "tap and go" or "tap and pay"

how about guessing what the biggest daily swing in price in a given time period is.  up/down/either way

i know, boring but im not very imaginative.

definitely want a high(ish) merit level for entry. not sure what number to use though.

edit: what loycev said.. earned merits not airdropped is a good idea.

[edited out]

Turing Test: JJG is a bot. No detection of interpretation of human beings.

Tell me something that I don't already know.

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

You must be a bot ur lil selfie to believe that a bot does not know to be a bot.

dont you bots have a secret handshake or something to identify yourselves? id think there would be standards in place by now.

Selling body parts. What next ?

i can live with only one testicle thanks for the tip, seems like testicle and bitcoin prices are in sync how convenient

Good morning, WO OG! The recovery is underway and it seems pretty solid. The next 2 weeks will be critical.  Cool

hope you caught the brief 34k raja to secure some profit  Wink

you old fellas have eagle eyes.. and diamond hands... for me i'm never able to guess the bottom.... for me $41k was the bottom Sad

had a buy order at $33.6k USD pop and manually did a buy at 31.5. still have a couple buys set at around 30.5 and 28.8k, hafta reload if those go off.

not gonna lie this dip is pretty impressive for ants. and i remember being a noob in 2011-2012 and watching my btc fiat value drop like 80% soon after i found bitcoin and started mining. doesnt bother me anymore but back then? heh wasnt really a lot but it wasnt a good 1st impression lol. as someone mentioned watching new folks panicking.. well i cant say its entertaining per se but i kinda have to smile here and there at some comments.

so for you noobs: welcome to the fucking show. now relax and watch honey badger do whatever it feels like.
