1101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hitting $91,000 By March 2020 - Tom Lee, Fundstrat Global Advisors on: March 19, 2018, 10:28:03 AM
i never liked this type of speculation, where you look at previous patterns and then call a future one. like what this one is doing. but apparently that is something that many speculators do and i do believe that when enough people have the same speculation and enough people believe in that speculation it will happen!

it is the same "price drops first months of every year" discussion all over again.
1102  Economy / Speculation / Re: whether it's time to turn green again on: March 19, 2018, 10:14:58 AM
after every massive dump, there is always a recovery where you see green prices everywhere and this is what you are seeing right now. it is not an indication of anything really. it just is this way.

and more importantly you can not expect this to continue just because you saw "green"!
1103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when panicked? Check this out on: March 19, 2018, 10:03:12 AM
the big problem these days is that people think they are traders and they think what they are doing is called "trading" but in reality what they are really doing is gambling and because of that they keep panicking and believing all the bullshit they read online. someone tells them price will go to moon, they buy and when someone tells them price is getting dumped to $2000 they dump like an idiot.

if people started to use their brains more, price would have fallen anyways but it would have never been such a big fall. same with big dumb rises.
1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is a hard investment for the working class on: March 19, 2018, 09:53:02 AM
if you had invest in bitcoin, would you follow the price every couple hours?
you only do this if you are a day-trader and it is not called "investing" in bitcoin it is called "trading" bitcoin and it is a very different approach with a very different strategy!

Quote
it can fall down to 1000$ in 2 hours if you dont pay attention to it. if you wanted to sell before that big dip but you cant because you are at work.
then don't "trade" bitcoin. nobody is forcing you anyways. invest in it if you are so interested and enjoy the long term returns instead.

besides trading is not just every minute trading. it can be on a longer period and based on your speculation. and you don't have to watch the price if you know how to speculate! if you feel the need to monitor it 24/7 then it means you do not understand how trading works.
1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When an ALT gets listed on exchange how is the price determined? on: March 15, 2018, 11:07:59 AM
first by the owners of the altcoin. if they are good at what they are doing and are capable of manipulating the market they can easily manipulate the price too and make it stay up at a much higher price than the value of their shitcoin. if they are not, the coin simply dies in the first day.

second is by supply and demand which will happen after this. again if the owners are good they can manipulate things more and try and keep the price of their shitcoin up but generally they will drop because there is no demand for any of these coins and there is a huge supply of each of them which will be dumped on the market.
1106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why we may be stuck in the current range for long on: March 15, 2018, 10:52:02 AM
The ATH was brought by (in order) the Forks (more are buying BTC and withdrawing those out of exchanges to get more forked coins), News about being maintream and FUD brought by the crazy price surge.

.....and the uncontrollable spam in the Bitcoin Discussion Board,
for example: Will you still buy at 17k?/20k? - with 100 Replies like: bdsbx rberbYESbdbsajdsd snd!

1. forks: they may have affected bitcoin price but any effect would have been temporary, because if you believe that people bought bitcoin only to get those coins, then the same people would have dumped what they have bought + the profit they gained as soon as fork was done so price should have dropped bigger and as soon as forks were done. for example right after BCH fork, BTG fork and so on depending on their fork-size.

2. i don't think you know what FUD means. FUD is not something that brings price surge!

3. if you think spaming bullshit on bitcointalk can change anything about price then you know nothing of the price Cheesy
1107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What project can bring cryptocurrency to 1 billion users? on: March 15, 2018, 10:43:28 AM
it is really hard to understand your question!
you talk of second layer solutions of bitcoin, which are currently being developed as we speak. the Lightning Network is ready and it is being tested by thousands of users and it will soon be used by a lot more. that can be used by billions of users!!!

as for priorities, all of them are as important. security, decentralization, usability, speed, cost,... they are all important at the same time. and for example if you sacrifice one thing such as decentralization then you kill the project because we might as well go back and use Visa and PayPal if things like that are sacrificed!
1108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite currency for exchange/trading? on: March 15, 2018, 10:32:57 AM
there is only one currency in the cryptocurrency market and that is bitcoin (apart from fiat obviously). the rest of them are altcoins to be used as temporary investments for pump and dumping purposes.

what i prefer is small altcoins that can get pumped real nice so that i can make a good profit from them, none of the coins in your list can be pumped because they are in bubbles.
1109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bitcoin in 50 years? on: March 15, 2018, 10:22:53 AM
some countries banding bitcoin , some encureging , some people say its a replacement of visual currency , some saying its just a scam ...... whats the real future of bitcoin ?

that is not something that people can just tell you and you take their word for it. that is something that you need to come up with the answer to on your own. and you can only do that if you learn more a bout bitcoin, know it really and you will know the answers.
1110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OMG The sky Is falling!!! on: March 13, 2018, 10:52:33 AM
Calm down people, no need to panic on every price drip.  The market will grow over time.  The marketcap will be trillions in due time.  Crypto is here to stay and is only getting stronger.

all true but at the same time this should not be confused with bag holding which is what people are doing these days!

altcoins are pump and dumps whether you like it or not and they are in big bubbles which will continue to burst and because of that their prices will continue to go down.
many of them are completely useless and will die soon enough.

continuing to bag hold these and waste your money is not called "being calm", it is called being a newbie.
1111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why we may be stuck in the current range for long on: March 13, 2018, 10:18:43 AM
And the longer we stay at sub-10k levels, the more resistance will be building above 10k.

you can also say that the more we stay at sub 10k and above certain prices like for example above $9000 there is more buy support building up at $9000
that is why price keeps going back to that level again and bounces back up to test $12k again.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best side of the sale of bit coins? on: March 13, 2018, 09:52:37 AM
:)Hello dear friends, I'm new to Kipcancensi, so I do not know which crystal wallet is good. Please tell me the name of the good wallet?  Smiley Smiley

instead of using lots of emoticons you should first learn the terminology!
none of the words you used here make any sense! don't try to translate something yourself. if you have trouble with English there are boards for your language in the local forum section too!
1113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CBOE Bitcoin Futures contract expiration is this upcoming Wednesday? on: March 13, 2018, 09:47:04 AM
the first couple of them, when they expired there was some speculation that they can cause a dump and there was a dump during that time. but ever since the first ones there has been no dump and not much attention to any of them so i wouldn't look forward to anything at this point.
1114  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC don't need to go to the hell or to the moon. on: March 11, 2018, 07:17:22 AM
there are different types of people around with a lot of different opinions.
most people think that bitcoin is a way for them to get rich quickly so they want bitcoin to always rise and each rise be a "to the moon" rise.
and there are also a lot of people who are making a lot of money from these big  fluctuations, so obviously they want price to go to hell or to moon because the bigger the drop/rise the bigger their profit is going to be!

i think price won't become stable for long and that will last a long time! bitcoin is still small and the whales of it are still too big. the market needs to grow bigger and the whales need to shrink a lot.
1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the note not to lose BTC? on: March 11, 2018, 07:07:56 AM
IMO, the most important thing is private key. If PIN/Password and you forget or lose any access to get it then your cant access your wallet. But if you save your private key and store it in safe place than if you forget password even lose your wallet file you can still access your wallet balance.

i don't know what OP means by password/PIN, probably he had some web wallet in mind when he said that which is obviosly the worst way of storing bitcoin. but i just wanted to mention that when you store your private keys, even in a paper wallet (printing it on a paper after using something like bitaddress.org) it is best that you encrypt that private key with a password so it is not easy for someone to steal it by just looking at your paper.
1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple UP and DOWN on: March 09, 2018, 11:21:59 AM
Ripple is one of the worst altcoins that you would want to hold long term. a lot of others are bad for long term holding but they are so much better than Ripple. there is just too much of it available for XRP to be able to rise to any meaningful prices
1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding is bullshit? on: March 09, 2018, 10:51:39 AM
I hold 3 coins espers-(3 years),insane-(2 years),html - (5 years) Shocked and price is the same....no moon ....I dont trust to holding anymore,any suggestions?

of course it is bullshit because as you can see altcoins don't go up in long term, you may look at some of them and think they have gone up but if you check their charts you can see that the rise happened in a very short time and they couldn't drop back to normal price because the hype lingered.

in most cases like these coins they got pumped, you missed the selling chance because you were bag holding then they got dumped back to normal price because their hype didn't last.
1118  Economy / Speculation / Re: all markets follow the bitcoin price trend on: March 09, 2018, 10:39:07 AM

that is just spreading more and more FUD about bitcoin to lower the price since the drop had already started. and these news sites are loving it too!

the fact is this may not even be a true story and a compele hoax! and even if it were true, the guy has been reported to be selling when price was less than $4000 last year and as you can see his alleged sales not only didn't affect the market but also price went up to $20k!
1119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gox crashing bitcoin Why not just delete their wallet from the blockchain? on: March 09, 2018, 10:30:10 AM
because unlike shitcoins such as ethereum, we here in bitcoin believe that it should remain decentralized and immutable and fungible.
rolling back because someone used bitcoin (or any other altcoin or platform like ethereum) the way they are supposed to be used is against all that above.

this may be a harsh thing to hear, an i have lost coins to exchange scams myself but getting scammed is our own fault, there should never be a way to "bail us out" every time someone scams.
1120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fight against Big whales market manipulators on: March 09, 2018, 10:24:37 AM
the problem are exchanges which are still too small and dumping a medium size amount of bitcoin on it crashes the price big time and that causes the follow up panic sell where newbies run out and crash the market even further down.
part of it will be fixed if it grows more but also part of it will be fixed in case people started thinking first then selling.
