^^ Right, Perhaps it was just bad stylistic matchup for Teo Lopez that time. As he can't adjust to the style of Kambosos as he was being beaten to the punch. Although he try to rally late in the rounds in that fight, was not enough for him to overcome the big lead early by Kambosos.

But here, he was exposed by Maxi and again, the decision could have go either way but he was gifted by the judges.

And most likely George will be back in Australia to enjoy and maybe happy that he was able to get this huge victory as he needed it to stay in boxing. And Bob Arum too, because Kambosos just sign a new contract with Top Rank.
1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 24, 2023, 10:26:19 AM
The weigh-in just happened, we had a fight

Stephen Fulton 121.9 lbs
Naoya Inoue 121. 7 lbs

The face-off is so intense Fulton does not even blink in their face-off and Inoue is in his fighting form
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er736hc7O7Y

I hope Fulton is different from all Inoue met in the ring, will he be the guy to stop Inoue's train, let's see tomorrow.

Yeah, saw it too, both are serious specially Inoue, and it seems that it didn't have any effects on him weighing 122 lbs. But for Fulton, he might be weight drain but for sure after the weigh-in he can go back and rehydrate back to maybe 126 or higher.

Lots of fans are interested to see the fight, so regardless of time zone differences, for sure there will be some of us here who are going to get up early just to see this fight live.

Fulton though still a huge underdog.

I do agree that perhaps for others it's pure entertainment, specially if the they can afford the money that they will lose in the game. However, gambling itself is already bad in the beginning, as you can go and become an addict.

And admit it or not, some gamblers, really wanted to win big and that's why they are willing to take that risk when the money in their hand. Specially those who are really in need of money, most of them are going to casino to hit that one big jackpot that will chance their lives.
1104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto experienced bloodshed on: July 23, 2023, 09:01:00 PM
What causes this market decline?

If we look at market conditions, especially this week Bitcoin prices are weakening plus the US Dollar Index (DXY), which continues to soar to peaks. yes. this was fueled by the prospect of US interest rates remaining higher and no respite. However, my view may be used as an accumulation stage for some investors and financial institutions, of course.

Maybe, we have seen the stock market going green, but bitcoin market somewhat on the decline. But if you look at the last 24 hours, we have some small gains, the price is now above $30,000 which is a good sign that the bulls are back and defending that price again.

So maybe if we will hear another good news coming from the US, specially a positive interest rate, we might be looking at $31,000 at the end of the month. I do believed that we can still jump or at least close this month around $32,000.
1105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Michael Saylor a modern apostle like Peter and Paul? on: July 23, 2023, 08:50:10 PM
If Bitcoin were to replace the current global financial system and achieve widespread adoption as a decentralized and reliable store of value, some enthusiasts might see Michael Saylor as a visionary or a pivotal figure. Similar to how Peter and Paul played crucial roles in spreading the teachings of Christianity, Saylor's active promotion and strategic investment in Bitcoin could be viewed as instrumental in driving its adoption.

The analogy suggests that just as the apostles were significant in the establishment and spread of Christianity, Saylor's dedication to advocating for Bitcoin and integrating it into his business strategies could be perceived as foundational for a potential future financial paradigm.

discuss

Nah, I would stir away from the religion analogy. It's totally different and we shouldn't compare it to like Christianity wherein Satoshi could be the symbol like Jesus and then he as his apostles like what you are portraying here as Michael Saylor = Peter or Paul.

It's just the Saylor being a investor and see the potential on BTC, "religiously" invested on it because as humans, he knows that he can make a lot of money and so he will be rich. Of course he has been preaching Bitcoin since he join the bandwagon, but it doesn't mean he doesn't have any investment outside of Bitcoin. We just don't know, maybe he has property investments or like stocks and others.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino on a cruise ship? on: July 23, 2023, 08:38:37 PM
Taking a ride in a cruise is very expensive to be honest. Only the rich people can afford it. Atleast this happens in my country. Moreover many people have fear in travelling through the ships, hence they avoid transportation through this also. As far as I have read from various resources, there is no much difference between a land based casino and casino present in a cruise. Moreover as these people gamble for recreational purpose only, hence for them the payouts and rate doesn’t matter. Regarding the operational hours, then it varies from cruise to cruise. Some operates for 24/7 also.

I can assume that since the rich make up the bulk of the passengers, the casino on the ship is one of the main sources of income for cruise organizers. And this is not only because the passengers turn out to be inveterate players, but also because, as I heard, the main problem of cruising is boredom - the impressions of the ship pass in a couple of days and then everything is very boring. Accordingly, people are looking for more interesting entertainment.

Good point, I do agree that having casino on-board is one attraction by the cruise ships because they know that their rich patrons are going to look at it and then play with their money and we all know that casinos has the house edge.

And usually if we ride on cruise ships, its like weeks that you are in the middle of the ocean and so nothing to do but to entertain yourself and one way is thru playing casinos and burning money.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 23, 2023, 08:28:11 PM
LOL, how this turn out to be Inoue vs Fulton thread? Stay on the topic guys, this thread is about Donaire vs Santiago fight.

And with that, this fight is just a few more days, so let's start betting if you haven't done so. I have Donaire here to win by knockout. Odds are very good at 2.95 so my money goes with that.

I'm thinking that Donaire can still pull the trigger and doesn't want this fight to go over to 12 rounds as he might get tired. So it's better for him to start hard like his previous fight and aim for a KO/TKO.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2023, 01:54:09 PM
George Kambosos will be back in action,

https://www.boxingscene.com/photos-george-kambosos-maxi-hughes-set-showdown-shawnee--176323

So after losing all his belts to Haney, Kambosos is back against Maxi Hughes tonight. This is going to be a comeback fight for him so let's see if Maxi will be a good tune up fight or George doesn't have it anymore.

But I expect George to win in the later rounds by stoppage. Maxi is 3:1 underdog.

Kambosos won the fight, but I was personally unimpressed on how he fight and it seems he was gifted with this win. Even after Kambosos won, and in his interview i the ring, you can hear the boos in the background.

But he justify that there are close rounds and he could have been favored by the judges. However, as we say, a win is a win, so Kambosos got lucky and so his career continues again with Top Rank.

It's funny though that the commentator has said that Joseph Mason should be in the Christmas list for George Kambosos for that 117-111 score hehe. I expect that this would be tough for Kambosos because like Maxi, he has not fought any big name expect for Teo Lopez. Even before the fight, Kambosos has been calling out Davis which i think a disastrous move because Davis not like Teo but i think a wise move money-wise as this might be a retirement fight for him.

Congrats to those who bet for George but that was not a juicy odds, if my memory serves me right, it was 1.61 for George to win by Decision.

He needs more fight though, as far as Ferocious Kambosos is. I think he still has that stigma from the Haney lost that he hasn't shake it. I didn't bet on this fight although I would have gone for Kambosos to win by knockout.

So I would have lost my bet though, perhaps our money might be in the Inoue vs Fulton, Donaire vs Santiago and Crawford vs Spence.

In any case, I'm not that impressed with Kambosos and it will be a disaster if he calls for a Davis clash.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 22, 2023, 09:41:49 PM
There are still no significant changes in the betting odds.

Spence 2.20
Crawford 1.60

Crawford by KO or TKO 3.35
Spence by KO or TKO 7.00

All the attraction points to Spence if you like a big win. Also, you have to believe that Spence will win so you'll not regret your decision. Spence by KO could happen, actually, since Spence has heavy punches and his KO rate is high. Maybe the quickness belongs to Crawford, but who knows.

Their KO difference is not that far and so I think they are somehow equal in that regard.
But when it comes to speed and reach advantage, that will be hard to debate because it is clear that Crawford does have those qualities, still, we cannot discount Errol Spence in this fight because he too can give an explosive and unexpected outcome. It will be a tight fight for sure and I'm sure that I'm not the only one that is still thinking which side to bet.

If we base on Thier standings and career records then we can say that they are not too far Thier statistics are almost the same but for me Spence has the momentum and have a good percentage of winning. Also this fight is one of the greatest awaited fight in boxing history because both fighters are strong and popular so without a doubt this will be the star of the year and gamblers must know for this to choose Thier favorite fighters and bet with them.

Everyone have their own sides to take, whatever we say here, it will not change a single thing if they already locked it in their mind whether if it's Crawford or Spence. Same with how would the fight go, people will always have a say regardless of the result. Some will say that it's because of inactivity and some will say that this fight should've made years ago when they are both younger compared today where the other one is already approaching his retirement phase.

And it just shows how great this fight really is, everyone has it's own opinion and it seems that we are all in disagreement/agreement as who will win this fight. Crawford or Spence, the real winner here is the fight fans.

For sure though, those backers of either boxer are going to be happy to see their boy winning the fight and the arguments will still continue after the fight itself. Just like so many great fights in the past, the debate will continue. So I have my own take on here, and so everyone does, but it doesn't mean that we can't appreciate the talent of the opposite side.
1110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This time for meme coin? on: July 22, 2023, 09:00:06 PM
You probably know that almost all new meme projects are coming out now. Do you think it is really risky?

It's just about time that they are coming out because we are about to hit a bull run. Risky? of course they are, how can a coin jump from 0 to hundreds in just matter of hours and then go back down? So if you don't know how it works then you might get caught up and be trap inside and can't get out.

what effect do you think this could have for the bull market!

It's 50/50, others might just play around and pour their money, specially those who have experience already. But for those, yeah, same invest their hard earn money, but if they don't know when to get out, then they will lose here. So it's beneficial for the market int the bull run as it will push the market, but there could be consequences for those who are inexperienced.
1111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 22, 2023, 08:42:15 PM
Numbers are out of the Garcia vs Davis fight, and it was reported that it made $100 million.

https://twitter.com/RyanGarcia/status/1681758159889891328

And then Ryan Garcia made $30 Million ++, Obviously Gervonta Davis made more $40 million ++. So the next superfight is Spence-Crawford, and so we will see how big the money will be for them and maybe it's hard to topple the numbers that Garcia-Davis did here.

We should hope that those numbers would encourage other good fighters of boxing to negotiate deals and fight each other hehe. Another fight that I wish should collect a good amount of money is the superfight between Inoue and Fulton. But it appears not much people are very excited about this except for boxing fans.

Also, the fight will not be on a weekend which is strange. Why did they not make Inoue vs. Fulton in Las Vegas? It would certainly collect more money there than in Japan.

That would be too much too ask mainly in this era where politics are more important compared to the figures that they could get if they give the people a fight that they wanted. It would be an entertaining fight for sure if that will happen but again, it's just too much to ask.

For the Fulton vs Inoue fight, I'm sure that Bob Arum already considered having it in Las Vegas but considering that they chose to make it in Japan, that just means that they are generating more revenues compared if it will happen inside the US.

Agreed, not just for Inoue, but I think Fulton has been offered good money here to travel to Japan and put his belt on the line. And he understands that Inoue is still the A-side although eh didn't have any belt.

Fulton and this team likes the opportunity to beat Inoue in his own backyard, but it's very hard to do that. But as the saying goes, they have a plan until they got punch in the face so we will see how Fulton will react, whether he will fold because of the power of Inoue. Or will rise above the challenge and proved why he is a champion in the super bantamweight.
1112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 22, 2023, 08:31:04 PM
^^ If I'm not mistaken, it should be in their contract to have blood testing under the WADA so ensure that both are clean. And for obvious reason, it will be random, and so they shouldn't complain about the one that is going to take their blood sample at any time, regardless if they are sleeping then they have to wake up. So there should be no issue. But I guess boxers doesn't want to have their blood taken, not sure what is the reason for that. Maybe it break their momentum or it's more psychological for them. And if you are clean then why you wouldn't be afraid of it? Doesn't make sense at all.

Agreed. These are all rumors to keep the fans' attention. Similar to mainstream news, these sportsnews media outlets also sometimes do not have anything to write anymore, so they begin creating rumors.

In any case, the thread should have a poll. There might only be 3 voters for Fulton including me hehehe. It is head scratching why the champion's odds is 3.70 because it will be Inoue's first time to fight in super bantamweight, Fulton is also bigger, more athletic and has an intelligent jab which could be a problem for the Japanese fighter.

My present prediciton. This might be a split decision win for Stephen Fulton.

Yeah, and it will follow this two on their social media, fans are the one building this fan, perhaps there are promoters who have their own "army" to go to social media to hype this one.

And it's really going to be very close indeed as we need to look at how Inoue will do at 122 lbs as he is going up in weight in an attempt to become a champion again. Fulton is the champion and very intelligent, so hopefully it will be a war inside the ring and Fulton will walk the talk here and not just another boxer who will fold because of the pressure coming from Inoue.

It's good that you ask it here first and I hope that you are truly asking for advise because most of the time, there are newbies who have some intention to promote their platform here just to scam people.

In any case, it's obvious that this is a scam attempt. If I'm in your case, then it's better if you will buy your own crypto and then store it in your wallet without any services help from this services. As for the tax, it's just another attempt to get money from you.

Djokovic is still going to play and looking for another Grand Slam to set the records for him and to separate him as the GOAT. I do agree that it will be Medvedev to make the top 3 and the rest could be Tsitsipas, who I was a fan of years ago, and then Rune, Ruud and Rublev and Sinner.

Hopefully this lost to Djokovic doesn't mean that he is slowing down a bit. But Alcaraz has already proven himself against Djokovic and others. So it's going to be very tough for Djokovic to get that 1 Grand Slam as long as Alcaraz is enter on that tournament.

He played really strongly in the final. So I don’t think he is going to slow down. But obviously, he might have a psychological war to win which is against himself. He is obviously a player who has good mental strength. So I think he will be able to overcome that.

If we are talking about Djokovic, no doubt that he has that mentality to come back strong. There are games that I think he deliberately lost the first set, and then come back strong in the next succeeding set to win.

But with the rise of Alcaraz and him relegating to number 2 spot, Djokovic will have to dig deeper now. The thing is that he is not the young player that he is. So if he wanted to maintain that top form or at least fight the young guys in the tournament, Djokovic will really have to be focus and his mind should be sharp as ever and have the positive mentality that he can still get that 1 Grand Slam.

1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Anthony Joshua vs Dillian Whyte II on: July 21, 2023, 08:16:33 PM
They have gone to a lot after their first meeting, Joshua back then was so great and on top of the world he commanded respect and people thought he was invincible until that 3 losses, those losses exposed him, and because of this Dillian Whyte will take this opportunity to put all these demons in Joshua mind, Whyte knows that Joshua wants this fight and he is here to spoil everything, he knows that Joshua will try to put up a great fight so he can challenge Fury and Wilder for a big fight.
Anthony Joshua is really in a good shape and frame of mind ahead of this fight, the fact that he has a new trainer is really helping him into the right shape and frame of mind for the fight. Anthony may not be able to be his best like we saw in his prime, but he can fight better than he did in his last three fights. And for the same reasons that he knows how important this fight is, he will take it seriously and not give Dillian any chance to stop him from his target of getting through to the next fight against Fury.

That's always been the case for Joshua after his first lost to Ruiz and Usyk. In the second Usyk fight, he get the services of American trainer Robert Garcia, but still, he failed to win against Usyk and he had a break down after the fight.

So this is very important for him, although he did get a new trainer, but still as the first round starts, it will be just him and Dillian Whyte. And it's going to be more mental for Joshua here rather than physical. He might be in the best shape of his life, but if his minds has started to doubt that he can win, then it won't help him here, IMHO.
1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your watch list on: July 20, 2023, 02:08:26 PM
What crypto do you think will be making good profits this year and why? I am watching firo, Aptos, dot closely

XRP, LTC, BTC

Those are my top coins to watch for, as they are waiting for the big news, and with XRP we already saw a green candle after the good news.
LTC and BTC will both have their halving that can result into a big pump sooner or later, you have to maximize this opportunity or else you might regret it later on.
The bull market will happen and no one can stop that, its only a matter of time before we finally enter such phase, I'm bullish with these list it will be worth it.

Same old school altcoin, specially XRP who just had a run after winning it's case.

And then LTC will have it's own halving in August so we might see it pumping as well.

As for what the OP posted, I'm mostly on the DOT or ADA. I'm not familiar with Aptos though, but thanks to this I might look at it and see if it is a good altcoin to invest on just a hype though.

Also Illuvium might also be a long shot as far as going a massive bull run next year.
1118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin maximum price on: July 20, 2023, 12:46:55 PM
Many people claim that bitcoin is worth $ 1 million or even more, the security system, speed and many other features make bitcoin supposed to be very expensive, if more and more users will feel the benefits when they want to transact with bitcoin.

I'm not really sure what you mean by security system, blockchain though uptime is 99.99%. And it really depends on how we put bitcoin into safety, because there are hackers everywhere in this market.

Globally, it might be a slow process to get more users into the system because admit it or not, there are a lot of people that is going against Bitcoin and even had at as their priority to destroy Satoshi's invention because they don't like for individuals to have control and more freedom.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 20, 2023, 12:26:25 PM
^^ Most likely two scenarios,

a. fans who bought the ticket for the Donaire vs Santiago will be refunded full.
b. or they are going to be given the chance to watch it on the reschedule fight.

So everything is building right now, the fans of both in social media are hyping the fight and have their own predictions on how the fight is going to end. I still haven't decided yet. But I might bet as the fight gets closer to the date.

That is the best thing they can do and it is more likely that the fans who have bought the ticket have an option to choose between A or B because it will be unreasonable if they will decide without asking which is more comfortable to the fans as they were the ones who dragged the fight in the first place without giving any prior notice and to give them time to adjust with the new posted schedule if they can make it work. Also, best assume that most fans who bought the ticket cannot watch the fight live anymore specially to the people who have a hectic schedule or work.

That would be the expected scenario. The sad thing about fight postponements or changing of matches is that many of these fans are from far away states counties or states or even from other countries and they already booked their flights and hotels. So this is common to traveling fight fans but there is nothing they can do but probably continue their weekend short vacations and just enjoy the other stuff if they do not like the new fights, especially the new main events. I always hear these complaints and reactions from these fans but well, things sometimes happen unexpectedly.

If all of us have the luxury of both time and money, we're all going to be in the Crawford-Spence duel drinking beers. Grin

Don't rub it in mate, LOL. We could only wish that we can see Donaire vs Santiago and then Crawford vs Spence in the same night.  Grin. Nevertheless, I think there is PPV or even we can get to watch the fight for free so that is good enough for us.

For sure everyone of us here is excited and hopefully if there are members here that is stateside, maybe they are going to watch it. Nevertheless, its' going to be weekends so we can sit down with our friends and families and enjoy this great and exciting fight.

After becoming the 2020 US Open champion, Dominic Thiem struggled with injury for quite a long time so when he returned to the field he had to start from scratch, for big tournaments he has found it difficult to compete so far because the early rounds will immediately meet seeded players, but saw him lose in the second round of the ATP Gstaad to an unseeded player which even resulted from qualifying in the tournament it was quite a struggle for Thiem to get back to his best position, he lost in 3 sets, the first set belonged to his opponent but in the second set Thiem managed to take it easily but unfortunately the third set after his game was taken by his opponent he was unable to take it back so he had to leave the tournament early.
It's just  very unfortunate for Thiem to really struggle to make a comeback after his injury. And it become a career threatening for him, while his contemporaries like Tsitsipas and Medvedev continue to enjoy success and stay in the top 5, Dominic has been relegated below the standings and it seems that he can't get over or not the same anymore after his injury.
Congrats to those who back up Alcaraz against Djokovic. Up to know it has been a topic of discussion for me and my brother about how great Alcaraz is and that fight. And it could be just him Djokovic and to some extend Medvedev going to dominant in the next 2 or more years.

I personally believe that the main competitors in the next 2 / 3 years are going to be Djokovic, Alcaraz, and Medvedev. But I still do not think that Medvedev is on the same level as the other two. Alcaraz is obviously the wonder child. Djokovic is the experienced one. These two are going to play against each other as long as Djokovic does not start performing badly because of his age. It could be 2 years or it could be more. But I think these two are going to be the center of attraction for that time.
