1121  Other / Meta / Re: Solution to account seller? I think on: October 22, 2023, 10:22:22 AM
~snip~

You think no one has tried that? What seems to me is that there are people who have hundreds (if not thousands) of BTT accounts and know that by selling them they can make a very nice profit. Whoever touched that mafia found themselves on their target (including me personally), and fighting them is like fighting cockroaches and bedbugs, they are very resistant and keep coming back again and again.

The only thing we can do is to really work to discourage those who want to buy BTT accounts by tagging sellers, but also buyers who do it publicly. It would be best if the forum clearly prohibits such things and those who offer such services are permanently removed from the forum.

One example of the fight against the Account Mafia
1122  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 16k DOLLARS LOSS IN JUST 1 YEAR on: October 21, 2023, 02:51:02 PM
I have started the trading from BINANACE app and I invest 1 k dollar at the start from spot while I had no teacher

It is obvious that you have enough money if you are going to gamble with $1000 without even knowing what exactly you are going to do with that money. Without any knowledge, plan and strategy, that money was lost the moment it was sent.

At the end in invested 6 k dollar at one time but there was a coin which has up from 0.92 to 14 dollars I bought this coin in 11 dollars --
unfortunately this coin dip to 2 dollars and I was see my loss in just 10 minutes.

When you trade with shitcoins, things like that happen, so even though a lot of money was lost completely pointlessly, did you learn something from all of that?

Kindly share your experience that I m doing a loss you are also a part of my problem so that I want to khow where I done mistake.

The problem is that you are doing something that you obviously have no idea about, and the only thing you are successful in is constantly losing money. If I were you, I would delete that app and refrain from any similar investments until I learn some trading basics. Then I would start with very small amounts ($50 - $100) and try to learn something even if I still have losses.

In the end, you need to accept that crypto trading is not for everyone, and that statistics say that only about 5% of people are successful in it.
1123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s long-term investors own over 76% of all BTC for the first time on: October 21, 2023, 02:19:12 PM
It is difficult to say something meaningful about the figures presented because I did not want to go into the methodology of how they concluded that it was 76%, but if it is something similar to those studies that concluded that we irretrievably lost about 4 million BTC because no one transferred them 4 or 5 years, then these are just simple guesses and nothing more.

From my point of view, it somehow does not seem very realistic that 3/4 of all BTC in circulation (which is about 14.6 million BTC) is not for sale, and at the same time the price of those on the market is not much higher than it is currently. Although this may show how small the market really is and how little demand really is.

When I just remember those stories about how there won't be enough BTC for everyone who wants it, and from 46 million millionaires a couple of years ago, today we have reached the number of some 60 million people who can be called that. If only 10% of them wanted to buy 1 BTC, all this that is supposedly for sale today would not be enough Roll Eyes
1124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help this time with a personal situation on: October 21, 2023, 12:57:55 PM
I will briefly explain something about my country regarding this: the economy is a total failure, doctors do not have basic supplies to work in addition to the very low salary, so no one wants to work for the government, therefore the country is in a moment in which it does not have enough doctors and therefore the Cuban state has restricted all medical categories and specialties with a resolution that regulates their departure, prohibiting them from leaving the country to keep them trapped here and they necessarily have to work. That's what I mean, there are other Cubans who have left the country, yes, illegally, on boats, putting their lives at risk by sea since Cuba is an island, the sea is the only means of escape, the Cubans who leave It is because they have studied any other career or do not belong to the Cuban health system and many of them have relatives in other countries who lend them money to fill out all the paperwork in the relevant embassies (paying people, corruption) to validate their documents and go through 3rd countries and/or crossing borders.

I am sure that with your profession you could very easily find a well-paid job in another country, but the question is actually how badly you want to change something in your life in order to take some possibly very risky steps. If you believe that the situation will not get any better in the near future, I wonder what else is left for you except to leave the country in any way, or be persistent and try to earn something online.

I found one of your countrymen who asked about similar things a few years ago, so even though he is not active on the forum, you can send him a message and maybe he will receive a notification by e-mail - azkielt. In any case, someone who already has experience might be able to help you and point you in the right direction.

Has someone already suggested to you that you can offer some of your services that will be paid in BTC - if you are good at something, you can offer it here -> Services
1125  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the fall of Elon Musk's empire imminent? on: October 21, 2023, 10:35:40 AM
It would be nice to see him fall apart and decide to hang himself. But it is not likely as he is in the too big to fail area.

If someone who lives in the US does not care and has such opinion, why would some other people care if his empire will fail or if it will be worth twice as much as it is worth today? Personally, I don't really care what will happen, and the only thing I hold against him is his involvement with Bitcoin and what he did to the market with his actions.

After all, even if his empire collapses, someone else will appear to take his place, that's how it always was and that's how it will be in the future. As far as I'm concerned, he can get into a rocket of his own tomorrow together with all his wives and children and head for Mars, considering that they have stated several times that they want to die there.
1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top Crypto Execs Confident SEC Will Approve Spot Bitcoin ETFs on: October 21, 2023, 10:07:50 AM
Are you implying that the speculations on approval of ETF before the end of 2023 from Mike Luna and auntie Cathie are completely wrong and should have no chance? I do not care if you and other people from this forum think that they are irrelevant because it can be argued that we small minnows are the irrelevant hehehe.

It does not necessarily mean that they are wrong, but did they say anything new that some others before them had not already said? What I want to say is that you give way too much attention to people who definitely don't deserve it, especially someone who spent months promoting a project that caused huge financial losses in the tens of billions of dollars.

Is there any difference at all between your old friend Tom Lee and these people who today you think know more than us mere mortals?

Also, I am sharing the news because I want to know what everyone's thoughts on the approval based on Mike Luna and Cathie Wood's statements. Are they lying and hyping bitcoin to dump on November or are they speaking sincerely?

They don't have the power to move the market in their favor, they just ride on a wave that was started long ago and wait to see what happens. In fact, no one cares what they think for any reason, because as I already wrote, their business decisions are not exactly something that gives them credibility.
1127  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Winner of lambo round 9 on freebitco..in website on: October 21, 2023, 09:54:27 AM
Please tell the freebitco.in staff to send my wining cash prize I am very sad and struggling very hard to live in this mean full world

Nobody here can do anything to speed up the process, which means that you should calm down a bit and wait for a response from official support. In addition, no one can "steal" your prize if you have complete control over your freebitco account and the e-mail to which you were notified about winning the prize.

Take into account that you did not contact robots, but people who have their own personal lives and problems, so it would be quite normal to give them at least a week to answer you.
1128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 20, 2023, 12:50:32 PM
I think that the answer to that question is best known by those who lost their privacy because their personal data was leaked somewhere, or even more so by those who became victims of identity theft or perhaps even targeted physical attacks due to the leakage of personal data.

For someone, personal data may be worth a profit of $70k, for someone else it is worth much more than that. I assume that for those who are passionate gamblers and want to do it from the comfort of their own home, there is no choice when it comes to privacy - some others will find a physical casino and all they have to do is prove that they are old enough to gamble.
1129  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Winner of lambo round 9 on freebitco..in website on: October 20, 2023, 12:35:06 PM
I have already sent the whole proofs to The Quin But he is still offline from 14th of october I am very sad because of no response Ia m not one of those liars I am the real person and the real winner

If you really won the Lambo, then you have nothing to worry about if there is nothing that would disqualify you, and it is stated in the terms of use. I assume you know that there is a choice when it comes to the prize, a Lambo or $200k in BTC, and if you decide on this first, be sure that it will take time to get your prize, and I don't even want to speculate what the price is for something like that to be delivered, and of course how much tax do you have to pay to import such a car.

If you are really a winner, then you just need a little more patience, you have already done the hardest part Wink
1130  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you Think is the Right Advice to Give to this Young Chap? on: October 20, 2023, 10:52:14 AM
Yes, you are correct. I had to take it out from the WhatsApp group and send it to myself for privacy reasons.
I don't think that is a problem.

It's strange that you are concerned about the privacy of the participants in the chat group, and at the same time some of their faces were shown in the thread you opened in the Bitcoin discussion. If you protect someone's privacy, you should do it in the right way.

As for the gold that someone has inherited, it obviously has sentimental value and at the same time it is insurance in case the family really needs a larger amount of money. I personally would not "gamble" with that, especially if I am someone who has just (perhaps) understood some basics, because as some other members have already mentioned, it is not just a matter of what the price of BTC will be in 1 or 5 years, but will that man manage to save what he invested long enough to make a profit.

Everyone should therefore think carefully and weigh the risks, because we don't want another story that starts with "I opened my crypto wallet and someone emptied it, what should I do?".
1131  Other / Meta / Re: [ADD] Some Hidden Emojis on the line {for Emoji lovers} on: October 20, 2023, 10:27:34 AM
have you tried it? because I did and it doesn't work for me, I am using Windows too. what happens on my end is that the emoji will show while you are making the post but if you publish or preview the post the emoji is not showing.

anyway, just want to add, regarding "window key + : key", you can also just right-click on the area where you are writing and a pop-up with an "emoji" option will show.

🥳 nvm, not sure what happened but it does work now for me.

I can confirm that the emojis are also displayed while writing the post, but I don't see them when I click the Preview button, which is the case with any emoji that is not directly entered from the forum. However, when the post is published, the emojis are clearly visible in the post, as you can see.

It is possible that some settings in your browser block the display of emojis, as is the case if, for example, you use the Tor settings for security level Safest.

1132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top Crypto Execs Confident SEC Will Approve Spot Bitcoin ETFs on: October 20, 2023, 10:01:23 AM
Are we beginning to witness more optimism on an approval? When I share news about ETF approval before, the replies from the forum influencers were more negative than positive. Presently it is no reply or some positive replies.

Maybe because you give space on this forum to people who have already proven that they are completely irrelevant in every sense, and you call them some kind of top experts. Who cares what Mike Luna or some Cathie think when they turn everything they touch to ash.

In any case, now that everyone is optimistic, I am beginning to be more skeptical hehehe. The news on more crackdowns from the American government because they claim that Hamas is using bitcoin might influence uncle Gary to reject the next scheduled application on Novermber 17.

I heard that in 99% of cases this organization is financed with the US dollar, will something be done about it or will we continue to hear that Bitcoin is only used by terrorists and criminals?

However, the pump on bitcoin might not stop because this pump presently might not be about the ETF. This might be something similar to what George Soros and his group are doing before. Powerful people create fear on the market when they are buying and create hype when they are selling.

It all started with a fake news about the BTC ETF, and it seems that the average internet user has not yet realized that the news is fake - or maybe they have started to understand what the spot ETF could mean for the price of BTC. I think that some trends speak for themselves.

It's not that I don't have the desire to work, if that were the case I wouldn't be here, of course there is some desperation, it is overwhelming to live this way where at only 28 years old you live in a country where you have no future because every year it gets worse and There is no improvement and you cannot leave either, it is a prison shaped like an island. If I am open to trying everything, I have already been doing it, but there are many obstacles that we have from Cuba when browsing the internet, it is very limited. Even so, I continue reading them and trying every method they give me.

What do you mean you can't leave? Then how did all those other Cubans leave and today live all over the world? If you really want to change something, then it's hard to achieve it this way, because if the situation in your country is so bad, the only way out is to move somewhere else.

I live in Europe, and since my country became a member of the EU, at least half a million people have left the country in search of a better life. The one who wants to do something always finds a way.
1134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is a Threat and BTC leads on: October 19, 2023, 12:26:32 PM
The EU and some government believe that cryptocurrency have no Intrinsic value and that you should be prepared to lose all your money if you buy cryptos. The head of the bank of England have taken this stance some months ago. In-fact, Bit Coin is highly restricted if not ban in Russia, China, Algeria, Bolivia, Nigeria, Bangladesh and many countries that are left wing. Whether directly or indirectly these countries have stood as Anti-Crypto.
My question is are they trying to protect their citizens or what?
Personally, I believe competition is good for the consumer but when government officials make this comment, I try to see things from their perspective and analyze them. So, what are government officials saying that they are not actually telling the people in reality.

The Bank of England has been saying this for years, as have many other central banks that are not so interesting to the media and pass under the radar - but why does that surprise you at all? Banks defend the existing financial system and it is logical that they say what they say, in addition to what some others have already mentioned, which is an attempt to protect all those naive people who invest their money in shitcoins.

Note: No Government makes a lot of money collecting only taxes. They issue bonds etc.
If there is no demand for government currency then they will go bankrupt. Do well to contribute your knowledge on this subject.

How much money is a lot to you? Data for the EU say that the EU has collected just under $4.5 billion based on taxes for 2022, and that doesn't seem like a small amount to me. Do you think that according to your thinking, the world could function normally if there were no taxes?
1135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help this time with a personal situation on: October 19, 2023, 11:52:17 AM
Currently the internet is one of the worst services that the government provides us, unlike other countries you have several companies that offer internet service so there is always competition among them to win over more people, here there is only one, monopolizing the telecommunications service, Etecsa, that's what it's called, and it's also of very, very bad quality --- I only use textual things that is, Whatsapp to communicate by messages since they consume very little, or forums like this, that is, nothing that uploads images or videos, otherwise if I did it would run out in a matter of 5 or 6 days.

Taking into account the price of the internet and its availability, do you think it could be profitable for you to do something online? As far as it seems to me from what you wrote, you are quite limited in terms of how you can use the internet, which means that there is not much left that you can do online as a kind of work.

Guys, it is quite difficult to live in Cuba, I just warn you from the bottom of my heart that you never come to visit, it is not worth spending the money that you have earned by working hard to spend it in a country that offers bad service. ((On top of that, the government tells us on TV and radio that all the money collected and obtained from tourism is used for our improvement and it is a lie, they keep it all!!))

I won't say that you are not telling the truth because you live in that country, but is it possible that you are not objective with regard to your personal experience? One of the most famous journalists from my country (but also from abroad), Goran Milic, made a documentary about Cuba (Cuba si, Cuba no) and as far as I remember, what he recorded there and concluded from talking to people doesn't look so black.

Besides, isn't it a bit destructive to invite tourists not to come to your country as if it will make things better? Aren't these same tourists also spending by buying food, drinks and souvenirs from ordinary people who can earn something that way?
1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ's view on Halving on: October 19, 2023, 10:17:12 AM
Yeah I saw the pump and dump, but next time when it happens I don't think that its going to be that big (at least not in the short term) as price didn't come back to the one before that fake news meaning people are really expecting it.

It seems to me that such news could have a rather large impact on the price of BTC, not only because rich investors will be able to invest in BTC with one click of the mouse, but also because companies like BlackRock are positioned globally and enjoy great trust from their clients. If that company thinks that BTC is good for investing, some of their clients will certainly accept it.

Now the only question is how ordinary people perceive such a signal because they may not understand the difference between futures and spot BTC ETF.

That's true. I mean, I don't wanna sound pesimistic, but I just don't wanna hype myself and then be disappointed when it happens and that doesn't affect the price as much as I hoped it will.

Honestly, I'm already used to the fact that anything can happen, so I won't be disappointed if something doesn't happen exactly the way we're speculating today, but it's better to think positively than negatively. In addition, Bitcoin has already proven itself so many times during its short existence, and it is realistic to expect that it will afford us many more pleasant surprises in the future.
1137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ's view on Halving on: October 18, 2023, 03:47:03 PM
Of course, I'm saying all this without taking into account the possible approval of the spot ETF in the US, whether it happens at the beginning of 2024 or 2025 is actually not too important.
You expect it to have such a big impact on bitcoin price?

Did you see what the fake news about the SEC approving the BTC ETF to BlackRock did? I was quite skeptical about the price effect such an ETF would have because I thought all these investors could buy BTC without it, but when you look at all these companies involved in it, we are talking about $15+ trillion under management just from BlackRock and Fidelity and it is logical to assume that part of these funds will be directed towards Bitcoin.

In addition, the effect on the price is hidden in the fact that these funds have to buy actual BTC in order to be able to sell shares in these funds, which means that the demand will surely increase. In the event that the effects of the halving coincide with the approval of the SEC (and they will not be able to say no indefinitely), the perfect situation for a big bull run would be created.

Consdieting the current situation int the world, I would be very surprised if bitcoin performs at the similar level of the previous bull run. After all, its only natural that ROI keeps getting smaller as the bitcoin price keeps going up. I would personally be more than happy with let's say 2x from the previous ATH.

I would also be quite happy with some $150k as the next ATH, especially if we consider that it is more than x5 of the current price which should definitely be taken into account.
1138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help this time with a personal situation on: October 18, 2023, 03:18:12 PM
I remember one member who was also from Cuba a few years ago and had similar questions as the OP, and he wrote that the internet in Cuba is very expensive and not available everywhere. According to some information I read, the situation has improved a bit, but I wonder how the OP gets the internet, or whether $2 a day would be enough to cover those costs?

If you do this, you can buy tarjeta Nauta internet, a Nauta Internet scratch card, from numerous shops or even doorways around Cuba.

Many private persons are certified to sell these cards, and they cost 50 CUP (€1,8 or US $1,94) for four hours of browsing online.

There are Etecsa stores in every city and village in Cuba. Etecsa is the governmental telephone and internet provider in Cuba, which has a monopoly on both services on the island. The price of the 1-hour card is €1/CUP 125, and the 5-hour card is €5/CUP 625 for surfing time.
1139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ's view on Halving on: October 18, 2023, 02:55:02 PM
Plus just because there's a "halving", which limits the supply side, it doesn't truly mean that it will increase the demand side. Would Bitcoin really surge in a recession environment simply because the inflation per block was cut in half?
We should also take the money printer into consideration.
As observed in this chart, the movement of Bitcoin went with the positive year on year growth of the global money supply, as well as the negative contraction year on year.

Although the halving makes Bitcoin more scarce, and therefore "more precious", the demand side is also as important.

It is a completely logical question, but at the moment no one can answer that question because no one can know what the future brings us. There are two options, the first of which includes that history will repeat itself no matter what and that we will have another big bull run, and the second is that we will break the tradition and that the four-year cycle will become a thing of the past.

I personally believe that the bull run will happen as it was the case in the past, we just need to remember that the last bull run produced an ATH that only exceeded the last ATH by 3.5 times, and it is possible that the next one will be smaller than that. Of course, I'm saying all this without taking into account the possible approval of the spot ETF in the US, whether it happens at the beginning of 2024 or 2025 is actually not too important.
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wow! US Gov among largest Bitcoin hodlers with over $5B in BTC - and Tim Draper? on: October 18, 2023, 02:32:42 PM
@Distinctin, aren't you fed up with the bad and fake stories that come from that site?

It seems to me that someone has spread this kind of news right now because they want to create panic when the price rises, and there is no solid evidence that the US government has even 10% of the amount that is being speculated about. Even if by some chance it is true, I don't see a problem with that, Satoshi made Bitcoin for everyone, including the US government.

In July 2014: $600 x 30,000 BTC = $18,000,000
In October 2023: $28,000 x 30,000 BTC = $840,000,000

Based on these numbers, it's safe to say he made a huge amount of money from that purchase, potentially even hitting the $1 billion mark if he sold during the last bull run when Bitcoin hit $60,000.

In case you did a little research and effort, you would have found out that Tim Draper invested the purchased BTC shortly after he bought it. This means that he did not make a direct profit from it, but it is possible that he earned even more through the investment he made.

In the post authored by Vaurum CEO Avish Bhama, the company announced that Draper intends to partner with Vaurum to use the roughly 30,000 BTC to provide bitcoin liquidity in emerging markets.
Draper said:
"With the help of Vaurum and this newly purchased bitcoin, we expect to be able to create new services that can provide liquidity and confidence to markets that have been hamstrung by weak currencies."
