1121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you cope with those around you not believing in you for choosing Bitcoin? on: November 09, 2023, 06:50:29 PM
Pretty much self explanatory.  How do you do it?

Here is my way.  I mostly pushed away and pulled out of relationships with people who seem to stand against my beliefs.  Instead of convincing them I just moved on.  I found that a lot of those who do not believe in my choice of investment and think I will fail are the same people who never listen.  Know it alls who rather put you down and disregard your feelings with no logical reasoning.  Sometimes it feels like they envy you or some thing.
I think that it's not my duty to prove anything to anyone. I try my best to educate people and introduce bitcoin in their life but instead I get cynicism, laugh and people say that it's a bubble that will explode. Time goes on and all we see is that bitcoin achieves new all time highs and price is going to the moon. Now I don't talk about Bitcoin unless I hear it from someone, I just shut my mouth because it's not really my duty to educate others and it's not really nice to get cynicism back.

Only keep close to you people who give you the ambition and optimism to continue.  Not sure how many of you believe in this.  But manifesting negativity has always brought negative outcome in my life.  Surrounding myself by positive thoughts and positive people has brought a strong source of light all the time.
Yes, it's good when you have people around you who are optimistic and give you boots but I think it's not good to hear only positive sides and don't hear talk about negative sides from others. We need balance in life, I believe this.
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your own casino. on: November 08, 2023, 01:35:00 PM
How many of you have dreamed about having your casino? Be the house and play the always-win game.

In the past years it was different, people who could build a provably fair engine were able to have their own casino, but now we are playing with new rules, the casinos must have a license and games providers, and that's what people are looking for, and i don't say is something bad, the gambling experience on stake compared with the gambling experience on satoshi bones is enormous.
In the past, there was no big competition, there were only one or two games like Dice and Bustabit and bitcoin wasn't concidered as a currency. Today you have a different reality, these casinos, some of them that used to be made single-handedly, turned into big companies that have big offices and hundreds of employees. Stake started as a primedice, it was primedice at first and after years, Stunna created a new casino called Stake. It was not exceptional casino at first but over time, it grew and become one of the greatest casino.
In the past, I used to dream to have a bustabit like website but was too little to create that, didn't have a bankroll. Today, it's hard to dream, you need a huge bankroll and a team of professional developers who know what they do.
1123  Economy / Gambling / Re: COINS.GAME | THE MOST REWARDING CRYPTO CASINO | SPORTSBOOK & CASINO on: November 08, 2023, 12:29:20 PM
I have a bad experience on live games of this casino specifically the screen ration when using wide screen device since it force me to landscape my device just to play the game while the video quality is doesn’t adapt automatically to higher resolution when I’m on landscape mode.
Do you play live casino games offered by Evolution gaming? If you play on Evolution live tables, your problems might be caused from their side and not from coins.game. Have you tried to contact Evolution's live support or have you tried to clear cookies and restart web browser?

I really agree with their slogan, "The Most Rewarding Crypto Casino." Here's why: every day, you can claim 1-5 USD on their Telegram by wagering only 500-2.5K USD weekly. The "Coins Drop Rain" on Chat, you just need to be active in the chat and complete the CAPTCHA. Aside from coins wheel that you can spin every 12 hours, you can also join the risk-free tournament with a prize pool of $150 every 12 hours. Never seen this kind of promotion in other casinos.
I don't know how good are gifts on wagering in other casinos but coins drop rain on chat is really a great features, motivates you to be active in chat and interact with other people. Risk-free tournaments are amazing too, I often enter these tournaments when I play poker, would love to see risk-free tournaments on many games like slots and live casinos if possible.
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: November 08, 2023, 10:03:38 AM

Even before the invention of AI technologies, computers were designed to beat humans and they did it.
AI aren't designed to beat humans but they were designed to make it feel like you would have a chance to beat them.
Computers were designed to solve complex problems faster than humans. At some point, we can say that computers were designed to beat humans but it I can't agree with you on AIs. AIs were designed to change humans because as you see, there is an active talk about driver-free taxis, robot workers and etc.

AI systems can process multiple equations in a second without any emotional interference which gives them advantage over humans. As a human you can process more equations than cpus but your emotions will keep you behind.
I think that AIs will beat majority of poker gamblers because it will be able to calulate and make better decisions unlikely humans but those who are real professionals, will beat AI because poker involves not only calculation but luck and experience plays a major role, professionals will be able to fool AIs but long-term, if professional plays with AI nonstop for hours and AI is able to learn their beavior, then AI will probably beat them but it's only a guess. AI's role is bigger in games like Chess because it involves only mathematical calculations.

1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker coming to stake.com in the near future ! on: November 08, 2023, 08:34:11 AM
If they decide to collaborate with big poker network such as ggpoker, they have bigger chance to survive with the poker.
Lets say Stake prefer to create their own poker network, I think it is not a bad idea since they have big player base already now and it is a good start.
Most other sites that failed in the past are mostly new sites that come with poker game only and started like from ZERO so it is reasonable if most of them failed.
Betcoin and fortunejak or may betnomi, these 3 sites did try to have poker but all of them also failed although they have player base but I'm sure the number of active players are not as big as what we can see in Stake.
I remember FortuneJack's poker, it was amazing but sadly no one was playing. I think that crypto casinos fail with Poker because almost all of them started with game Dice and crypto casino for me, an early user, is associated with dice. Since 2017, crypto casinos slowly adopted other games, add slots, sportsbooks, live casinos. I remember there was no Sportsbook on FortuneJack, Bitsler, Stake. We only had betcasino and nitrogen at first, then sportsbet.io was made in 2016. I think crypto casinos need to promote poker and they'll succeed.
Collaboration with poker networks is a quick solution. That won't be bad but I think casino, as big and popular as Stake is, can have its own network and is able to maintain it.
1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: As a Bitcoin Core only user, how im supposed to pay someone in person? on: November 08, 2023, 07:46:09 AM
Suppose you only use Bitcoin Core on a Linux distro because you don't trust anything else
Then you have to change your mind. I use Electrum in my smartphone for years, have stored up to 1 bitcoin and never ever got it stolen. I don't suggest you to use your smartphone as a cold wallet but it can be a good hot wallet for hundreds of dollars or some thousands for a quick pay.

Is there any handheld device that would make sense to use to do this transaction that doesn't stand out? Like one of these hardware wallets, that screams "punch this guy to get free BTC".
Oh, so you changed your mind and don't stick with Linux distro.
If I were you, I would buy The Passport Foundation wallet and would watch this tutorial - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri1ZBZZdQb0
By using The Passport wallet and your smartphone, you will feel secure.

I don't get your point. laptop can be brought anywhere you want so why not bring it and only deal with someone in a safe place like a mall?
Laptop may attract attention, someone accidentally may hit you with shoulder and you may drop your laptop, everything can happen, I wouldn't use laptop either. I think that chances of damagin laptop or getting it stolen is way higher compared to smartphone because everyone has smartphone today in the street and outside, just my two cents.
1127  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: November 08, 2023, 07:10:34 AM
Today I received a cap and hoodie from Bitcasino.io 😁 I love the hoodie it was very comfortable to wear (I'm not Japanese, but I chose Japanese font because I think it looked kind of cool, next time I'll choose the regular one)😁 Maybe I should wear both when I play, maybe it will bring me some good luck 😁😂
Congrats! To be honest, I avoid japanese or other fonts when I buy a t-shirt because when I see that font, I sometimes think that that is a cheap t-shirt ordered from Aliexpress  Cheesy Cap looks great.

Interesting video in this tweet, all about Baccarat, it’s origin and history. I find it informative and it’s kinda cool to know about the game you’re playing @ Bitcasino.io

Do we have any avid Baccarat players here?

Not Baccarat player but used to be a Baccarat dealer. To be honest, this game was very popular among asians, those who type with hieroglyph but I can't tell you whether they were from China or Taiwan or Japan, I don't know. By the way, BlackJack is more popular in Europe on live casino from my experience.
1128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Meta's no ads subscription and gambling disorder. on: November 07, 2023, 08:23:38 PM
Before now it was impossible to avoid advertisment on Facebook and Instagram. This has made it impossible for gamblers to avoid advert even when they have used control the ads options. Now Meta is giving users in the EU, EEA and Switzerland the choice to pay a monthly subscription to use Facebook and Instagram  without any ads. This special account can come for as high as €9.99/month on the web or €12.99/month on iOS and Android. Users can get this account this month and enjoy the package
Every platform is moving on subscription model. For example, there are so many ads on Youtube that it's hard to see the footage. Btw I think that this subscription model that gets rid of advertisement will have a negative affect on advertisers because they won't be able to reach to their full audience or will miss some good customers.

Aren't gambling ads banned on Instagram and Facebook? It's surprising to me that gambling ads are still allowed on FB and IG.
Casinos are allowed to advertise on Facebook only under their prior permission - https://transparency.fb.com/en-gb/policies/ad-standards/content-specific-restrictions/gambling/

I will use the €9.99 to €19.99 to gamble instead  Grin. In my country, that is not small amount of money, but I can still use it to gamble to have some fun as my weekly income is far more than that.
Hahaha, you really made my day  Cheesy
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe do you feel with casinos that ask you to input your log detail. on: November 07, 2023, 01:06:39 PM
This has led me to desire to know the community,  reaction on this subject matter of user login details being frequently asked by a casino,  do you feel safe to see a casino asking you for user name,  or phone number and password each time you open the site in your browser.
I think it's boring to enter your username, password and then do mobile verification every time you open a casino website and I have never been in such situation because your browser has cookies and that's how they work, with the help of cookies, you don't have to enter your details regularly. If you delete your cookies, then you will have to enter it every time. I have never experienced what you describe now. If any casino does that, they will lose their customers.
1130  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can anyone recommend an event where one can test their trading skills? on: November 07, 2023, 12:29:13 PM
The world of DeFi trading provides a space for both newcomers and seasoned traders to test their mettle, adapt to market volatility, and potentially discover the next big thing in the cryptocurrency landscape. Share your thoughts and experiences with DeFi trading or any unique insights you've come across in this domain, can anyone recommend an event where one can test their trading skills?
I wouldn't use demo platforms to learn trading because demo and real life are like day and night. When you trade on demo platform with play money, you risk easily and you trade differenty because you know there is not your fate dependent on your trades but when you trade in real life and see that you lose or profit from your budget, then you start to ger nervous or excited and will make mistakes. That's why I think that the best way to learn trading is to trade with money that you can afford to lose but also is not some bucks. For example, $1000 is something I can afford to lose but this is still the amount of money I care. You can choose your number, it's not necessary to risk one thousand but you should remember your lessons carefully and improve your trading skills and emotions.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: at which point of a boxing match you consider cashingout? on: November 06, 2023, 07:33:29 PM
assuming you risk your money to an underdog Prograis 3.75 vs Devin 1.22 and then Prograis luckily landed a snap punch resulting in a flash knockdown in the 1st round and the referee counts to 8. of course, you will be seeing the cashout option makes you win probably more than 30% if you'll cash out. would you do it or would you wait to find out if Prograis wins?  and what will you do if the fight goes the distance while Devin is also gaining?

let's say you compare this to Fury vs Ngannou which Ngannou knock down Fury and then goes the distance. will you cashout because it's already a sure profit or will you wait for the decision which is very uncertain?
I don't watch boxing but when I bet, I check other popular matches in diferent games. Ngannou had so high odds that I would probably use cashout immediately. If cashout is attractive for me, I use it and if it only gives me 10% or similar cashback, then I simply risk because there is not much to lose but there is a lot to win if I risk.
I don't know about Prograis vs Devin match but if I were you and I had an option to use cashout button during count that 8 seconds, I would push it if strike was very hard and I would also consider how often and how easily that person gets knocked out. There are people who have good chin and don't get knocked out easily. You have to consider everything when you make a bet or cashout decision.
1132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips to Follow traders/scalpers (who use Stop Loss) on: November 05, 2023, 11:49:56 AM
I think most successful traders are using stop loss. For me, stopping loss when you do trading is a must and it will help you to minimize your losses.
For OP, have you tried to check some centralized exchanges like Binance or Bybit, they have this Copy trading feature if you want to copy trade. Check trades history of traders first and some description so you can select what you want.
It's hard decision to set stop loss on your order, I can confirm that from my experience. Usually, I try to stay alert and watch price in live when I am trading because I can more likely understand whether there is a pure manipulation or there is a real panic. There is only one time when I set stop loss on my orders and that's only when I sleep because I got liquidated when I was trading on futures without setting stop-loss and lost thousands of dollars.
My piece of advice is to use stop loss feature if you aren't able to watch price in live. If you watch it in live and are confident that you'll be able to take the care of sudden price spike or dump and are alert at the same time, then you can continue without it.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: November 05, 2023, 10:30:16 AM
The Australian Government once said about abolishing gambling ads as a means of reducing gambling activities amongst underage people. But, I think they'll be no successful way of stopping young people from gambling. As it's in them. Most articles here also say things like gambling addiction being hereditary. That means gambling can be hereditary as well. Because I just watched from a distant two kids below 10 years, staking bets, after a long argument about who the artiste of a specific song is. They later staked close to 40 cents each, for the person who gets the answer right. Then they went ahead to verify. And I lost sight of them. I thought about, how come or who thought these kids about betting money during a long argument. I was able to memorize, back when I was a kid. We easily said, how much would you bet if it turns out I'm saying the truth; during an argument. It made me understand that, despite during those days we had no phones or access to the internet, gambling is somehow embedded to the brain of humans. Then, as a child, we weren't exposed to gambling. I could only remember of lotto, as a kid. But we still said things like "let's bet it"
I often see articles about gambling regulations in Australia and I don't understand why are they so strict, do they really have gambling problems? Australia is a very developed country and I can't imagine if people there are addicted to gambling. Btw I can confirm that kids gamble because it's cool to gamble among them. When I was a teen, I used to gamble too, I was mostly betting on soccer and I did that because it was an easy money and it was cool to say in school that I bet on sports. You have to change your mentality and understand that it's not as simple as you imagine, you have to do actual work to earn or just have fun and only play with money that you are willing to lose in case you won't be able to win.
1134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the second Satoshi appears? on: November 05, 2023, 08:24:33 AM
Right. Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin. He's a genius. Bitcoin systems and communities are working perfectly, and everyone is crazy about Bitcoin. But what happens if someone creates a blockchain that is faster and better than Bitcoin and puts it out into the world without any greed, as Satoshi did? Are people going to ditch Bitcoin away? In that moment, we're going to see a blockchain that's performing better than Bitcoin and is perfect for decentralization that everyone emphasizes. What will happen?
It's not only about features to my mind. Bitcoin is so popular that no coin is going to easily replace it, bitcoin is just the king of the jungle named cryptocurrency.

Let's think a little. Do you still use your old Nokia from 1998? I guess not, although 2G is still supported by the GSM network.
If something better, faster, safer it's invented, it has the potential to replace Bitcoin.
I don't think it's that simplier. Why hasn't Monero changed bitcoin? Monero has absolutely everything that Bitcoin lacks, Monero fulfills every demand of bitcoin users: privacy, security, decentralization, asice resistance. Because of these features, I thought Monero was the best investment option and would become more popular and expensive than Bitcoin but I was wrong. Maybe I am blind but I would love to hear what makes bitcoin a better than Monero?

1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to start betting on sports? on: November 04, 2023, 05:29:20 PM
I am thinking to start betting on sports because I think it is fair then other games and there I should be able to control my hands which I could control while playing games like dice, plinko, mines, etc.
I want to know how can i start betting on sports and start making good profits, I am asking this type of question because i have no knowledge about any sports or players.
please give me some tips, strategy, resources to getting started.

do not reply with suggesting good platforms to bet on, I already know reputed platforms to bet.

EDIT: I know a little about cricket and football.
Which sport do you want? My favourite is soccer. It's possible to earn money on sportsbet and if you want fair games, you should bet on football matches in famous leagues like LaLeague, Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A and Leageu 1 but League 1 lacks good teams.
If you want to earn from betting, you have to be successful, you have to watch football (soccer) matches very often, you have to check statistics of previous matches between teams you are going to bet, how is the relationship between them, you have to consider where do they play, at home or outside, you have to consider how important this match is for each team, you have to consider if it's the last chance for team to stay in league.
If you work, it's hard to be active in sports and if you don't watch sports, it's hard to succeed. I was once actively involved in sports.
1136  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: November 04, 2023, 02:26:59 PM
During an uncommon interview conducted by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the tech billionaire Elon Musk predicted that if AI is not regulated, there will be a time when no job will be needed. This means that AI tools would take over the entire work of men making paid jobs become reductant. He even claimed that humanoid robots might be a perfect friend for one of his sons who is having difficulty in having friends. I have always believed that regardless of how sophisticated these AI tools become, they will never replace humans. But hearing this prediction for an individual who has a full understanding of the AI sector is frightening. Elon Musk owns an AI company, xAI, that is competing with big AI firms like OpenAI, Google and Anthropic.

These comments can increase the fear and anxiety workers always had that these super-computers will replace them in future. What are your thoughts regarding the statement by Elon, do you think we should take him seriously?
If AI can work instead of humans and humans will be able to spend their time freely instead of working, why is that bad? But if there is no need of human involvement in work, then that can really become a problem because if humans won't be occupied with job, violence may increase or humans will only prioritize to get max pleasure and that is the moment when population will shrink because its a well known fact that people in developed countries where salaries are high, tend to born less children than those who live in poor countries.
In one of his interview, he also said that he believes there were nations before us, those who build pyramids and they all died. He said that he thinks humans will die too but he hopes we will live as long as possible. His prediction is probably right because right now we are entering the era of artificial intelligence, an era where robots can work instead of humans. It has pros and cons but increased development also leads to other increased risks that I already talked about.

1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Brave Browser installs a VPN service without your permission on: November 02, 2023, 07:51:26 AM
I've also used it in the past but found no real purpose to replace the Chrome browser, which I find the most convenient of all so far. The BAT tokens aren't worth the hassle switching either.
Chrome is the worst browser to use if you care about privacy. Chrome reveals all of your data, it's the least secure browser. Chrome, Edge, Opera, Safari, Yandex Browser and others should be avoided and Brave is in this list too because of their shady behaviour in past.

I find it a little contradictory to advertise this browser as a more secure and private option, while at the same time you're being installed with something you're potentially not interested in without your knowledge. On the one hand, I want to believe that it's not that big of a deal, but on the other, I find it unacceptable. What's your opinion about this? Do you believe it's worrying and something to be noted?
I think this is not a big deal. Does brave automatically connect you to their VPN? I think they don't do that. Btw Brave is better choice than Chrome and other browsers.
Finally, Tor is the best browser to use but it's not for everyone because it's very slow and there are some other factors to consider. I would stick with Mozilla with some beneficial addons.

When I was a kid, I used to create Browser in Visual Studio by watching Youtube tutorials. How safe would it be to use such a browser, made in Visual Studio with simple code?
1139  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: November 01, 2023, 07:16:11 PM
It's very interesting thread. I invested in Fun Token when it was a new thing and held them on Freebitco. To be honest, it was not a good investment and my $3000 turned into $300 over time because price of Fun Token fell down.
Fun Token is only a good investment choice if you want to get pure fun from holding it, it's exciting to get some free spins, cashbacks and some FUN tokens on your freebitco account. If you want to gamble, it's really fun but financial wise, it's not going to bring you profit. At least, years have passed and I haven't profited and I don't know if their marketing team is going to do some magic and reach new all-time high.
1140  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Risk/AML score on: November 01, 2023, 12:53:02 PM
you also said that "bad businessmen and government elites have a lot of money and more money is used in illegal activities because of that." That's probably wrong. I understand that business people own money more than the rest of the ordinary people, but I don't think the majority of the business people and their transactions are involved in illegal activities. I'm strongly of the belief that majority of the Bitcoin in circulation is used in legal transactions.
What did I say wrong? Isn't more money circulating between criminals than in honest people? And what stops majority of the business people to use bitcoin for illegal activities? What stops terrorists and criminals from using Bitcoin? There are two people: one who uses bank for illegal activities and another one who is more modern and uses bitcoin. More money in this world is owned by criminals compared to average people. More USD is in criminal's hands compared to average people. Exchanges, that hold the biggest bitcoin reserves, are centralized, banks are centralized. What do they have in common? Elites launder money through centralized institutes. Elites have more money than you and me
Btw I want to mention that I don't agree with the given statistics, I don't think their number is correct, I just said that it's not astonishing if many people use Bitcoin for illegal activities because many people use USD, Ruble and Euro for illegal activities and all of their bitcoins gets converted in these currencies.

On the extreme scenario that there is zero privacy, then their software source code is neither private, so we can all see how their accuracy function works, which is the first step to devaluing it.
The fact that Chainalysis are fighting so hard in court, using every means available to them, to prevent anyone from even looking at their source code should tell you all you need to know about how accurate it is (i.e. completely made up bullshit). They know if their code is exposed and everyone sees first hand what a scam it is, then their profits tank.
Chainanalysis are fighting so hard in court because they are funded by rich elites. Rich elites want to control everything and everyone and those who are going under their radar are considered as competitors. It's not hard to guess that their code doesn't work as expected and is a bullshit.
