11681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: December 02, 2015, 11:55:54 AM
Growing my bitcoin really slow is doing some faucets is fun actually if you are watching a movie and doing some faucets.
Then you have 0,05 cents per hour just watching a movie.

Faucets are really a waste of time and not worth it for an average Bitcoin user. Earnings are very low when compared to the amount of time that you spend claiming them. They are only good for newbies to help them get a better understanding of how Bitcoin transactions work,  other than that do not expect to earn real cash.

The best choice for now would be to join a signature campaign. If you have a high rank, and make good quality posts, you would be able to earn a great amount of BTC.  Cheesy
11682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: December 02, 2015, 11:47:21 AM
Bitcoin will gonna die in the future. don't forget that this cryptomoney is limited.

Well, if you take a look at all that Bitcoin has gone through (development, interest of Banks and Companies in Blockchain technology, etc) I say they are very positive things and since it is the pioneer of the Blockchain technology, I have no doubt that Bitcoin would remain in the crypto scene for years to come. Just my opinion.  Grin
11683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: December 02, 2015, 11:38:24 AM
Logged into my bittrex account today:

"This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on December 4th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC."

MUE volume is really low... not only on bittrex.
How can we increase volume?

Maybe we could increase volume by increasing awareness of MonetaryUnit to those people from inside and outside the crypto world. If we could come up with a way to make MUE more attractive (by offering a small reward by joining) And then we would need solid advertising on TV, on Facebook, etc. You get the picture, right?  Cheesy
If only there was a budget to fund this sort of marketing, then it would be pretty awesome Smiley
We have to rely on community support, patience and commitment, but also, every little thing can help.

Giveaways are "OK", though from my experience, certainly within the crypto community, free coins are usually just dumped.

There has to be value in having MUE, and alot of work is being done by thehumanfaucet to create real value for NON-crypto people to want to use MUE.
They use MUE, they get real world discounts, in real world stores.
The proof of concept is being rolled out in Vegas and we have, right now at least 10 physical stores offering discounts to customers, who purchase using MonetaryUnit.

That is one project that can make a real difference to the price over the coming months.

That said, there is simply nothing you can do to promote MUE that would impact it negatively.  Any exposure is good exposure Smiley
We're at 40 sats...there isn't much lower we can go really, but the upwards movement potential is massive...and that's the potentially interesting direction Wink

Well said! I expect to see MonetaryUnit rise and rise to the moon! Maybe 2016, would be the year of MUE. It will all depend on the efforts of the MUE community for this to happen. In the meantime, I'm doing my part by recommending MUE to most of my friends in college.  Cheesy
Ah, forgot to reply to this.
Thanks for your efforts promoting MUE.
Do you use Twitter?  There is a great little tipbot you can use, see www.tipmue.com for more details.
If this is something you think you can use at college let me know and I'll help with some mue funds for it.

This is definitely a great idea for those people out there who don't even have a MUE wallet. The twitter tipbot is very convenient and a great way of promoting MonetaryUnit. I will try it out and tell my friends about it as well.  Cheesy
11684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Smartchain based cryptos worthy of investment? on: December 02, 2015, 11:16:36 AM
Ripple is a corporate coin, with a doable business plan so it has a good chance for survival.

Yes it is very likely to survive in the future whileas most alt coins will fail (at least what I think) Since Ripple is centralized, this would be a main reason for banks and governments to adopt it, since they would always have control of your transactions. And that is the reason they are against Bitcoin due to its decentralized nature. Just my opinion.  Cheesy
11685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: December 02, 2015, 11:08:15 AM
We will never give up on exp.

You got that right. And those who leave Expanse will miss the great opportunity to make profits after everything else is settled. This is just the beginning for EXP. Prepare for more excitement.  Grin

We're looking into options for creating a MUE "powered" coupon, created by the blockchain at the point of sale, for use by our growing network of physical retailers.

Real world benefit.
Real potential.
Bringing in NEW people into crypto, without them even needing to know about it, but with the added incentive of giving them more info IF they want it.
Plus the added benefit of course of creating sustainable and growing buy support - which means, the price goes up Wink

Now that is what I'm talking about! Fresh new ideas and movement towards mass adoption of MonetaryUnit from people in and outside the crypto world. And then, after all this MUE would go to the moon!  Grin

if ya sync from zero expect 3 days sync time

aww, that's a problem, I will download on my VPS and keep a backup of private keys, that's the only way I guess, got 100MB speed.
page 1 are some presynced chains linked and a bootstrap.dat too if u want to speed it up

I downloaded the full chain from the OP and was synced in a few hours... I'd go that route.

Thanks for your advice mate. I was about to ask the same thing now that my QT wallet takes hours to sync (syncing is very slow) even with 30MB high speed internet. I guess it is because I need more connections to the DMD network? Anyways, I'll try this to speed up the syncing process.  Grin

Any thoughts or recommendations on which I should invest into? The way I see it, I think that Ethereum would survive, but I'm not pretty sure. What do you think?  Smiley

I suggest you have a look at OBITS website - an asset of the BitShares 2.0 platform located on OpenLedger,

and if you believe that BitShares technology has just begun to grow after the great creation of BTS 2.0 and following the opensource of Graphene and the fully functional and very promising affiliate referring system.

Well, then OBITS is the one to choose a it has the value based on the fees generated from the exchange network of OpenLedger as well as all future projects added to its growing portfolio of companies.

What is OBITS ? Go directly to site here: http://obits.io/#about or read more about it below.

OBITS gives ordinary retail consumers the chance to profit from the wild swings in price characteristic of the digital currency markets without requiring a deep understanding of the markets. OBITS is therefore a way of empowering the average user to profit from the markets without a comprehensive background either in trading strategies or blockchain technology.

OBITS tokens are hosted on OpenLedger, one of the world’s first truly Decentralized Autonomous Exchanges. This means the holdings of the exchange are always auditable, cannot be manipulated, and users’ balances are always available in full, since unlike ordinary banks it does not depend on fractional reserves. The business is based on blockchain technology offered by Bitshares and its code is fully open source for anyone who wants to look further.

Holding OBITS entitles you to be a part owner of the bright future that lies ahead of OpenLedger, giving holders access to a share in the profits issued by the organization. Just like a real life business, you will also be entitled to cast votes on key decisions made by the issuer. Buying OBITS is the equivalent of buying an early stake in a ground-breaking technology company.

Unlike bitcoin, OBITS is not subject to market manipulation, extremely volatility or the vagaries of the market. This empowers the founding team to keep your vested money safe and protected from unexpected declines in value. Given the fact that the product is just starting to penetrate new markets, there’s only one way the price can head – upwards.

Hey thanks for sharing this useful information about this new type of asset. I've never heard of it, until you posted this information. I'll check it out. The features it brings look very promising when compared to Ripple and Stellar.  Grin

Great informative video, mate! I'm going to check this out on the weekend and see how much profit I could make. I will share my experiences later then. Hope to see BitShares rise to the moon real soon.  Cheesy

i see a big potential in mue too.
how much shops accepting it in real life right now?
think real world adoption is the key for grow.

Exactly. If manage to attract the attention of MonetaryUnit towards major shops like Wal-Mart, Target and Sears, we would see big changes in both price and demand. I was thinking of gambling with MUE as well in real life (physical) casinos.  Roll Eyes

Hmm strange!!?? Thought I posted the new topic about the Proof of Interest campaign 3 yesterday.
I can not find anyone. Is that one deleted?
Indeed, I think the mods deleted it, but don't know why. We should stick with bitcoingarden for the campaign...

Any hint on where I could find the Proof of Interest campaign 3 link on BitcoinGarden? I have been trying to look for it but I can't seem to find it. Hope I'm not late to join... Smiley

Thanks a lot, mate! It is a very exciting world out there for Coin Magi. I've been investing everyday into it and growing my stack slowly to store some of my XMG for the future. I will join this campaign when registrations would open.  Cheesy

I've never used the service before myself, but from what I understand isn't that what Coinapult locks do? https://coinapult.com/faq

I've started getting to know this service and so far it looks very promising. The "Lock" feature locks your current BTC value to a fiat currency of your choice such as USD or EUR. This is amazing. I will try it out. Thanks!  Smiley
11694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: November 30, 2015, 06:28:27 PM
in fact litecoin has several advantages over bitcoin
but the price of litecoin and litecoin community, not as expensive as the price of bitcoin and and not as strong as bitcoin community

Litecoin does have some notable advantages over Bitcoin, like the speed of transactions which is faster and mining LTC is much easier than mining BTC (if you compare their mining difficulty, LTC is lower) So this means I could mine more Litecoins than I would with BTC with current mining equipment, thus making it easier to get to the BTC by taking advantage of LTC. Just my opinion.  Grin

Are there any physical Diamond coins for sale? I want to buy one to securely store all the valuable diamond coins into that vault. Cheesy

its in fact on roadmap
to create diamond shaped offline storages

can u read my mind?

That would be something exciting and really cool to see someday. I imagine myself with a Physical Diamond Vault with this appearance. This would be added into my physical crypto coin collection.  Cheesy

is the new wallet mac too? My coins still stuck on crypts
Tomorrow i will release the new wallet to those that sent me a PM to test it, there are still 3 spots left so if you want to be the first to test the new wallet let me know. I will also give two Prypto codes of 1 CSC each to all testers to try out the new Prypto redeem page in the wallet! If no mayor issue arise from the testers i will release the wallet to the general public as soon as possible after that but no later than Friday 4th of december.

After tomorrow my first priority will be the OSX wallet release, so hang in there!

Finally at long last! I will get the chance to see the brand new wallet for CasinoCoin, after some time that the previous version was released. It is a good thing CSC is back in development, after being abandoned for some time. Looking forward to the public release.  Grin

The best way would be a married put, but unfortunately there's still no liquid market for vanilla bitcoin options.

I think if the best option may be gold because gold prices will not move that fast so if we can find a way to easily convert bitcoin to gold and gold to bitcoin than that will be the best option of protect our investments. But as of now I don't know is there any site allows for these exchanges?

Well, there is a service called BitGold where you can buy Gold with your Bitcoins either as a physical form or digitally stored on your BitGold wallet. I haven't used it yet, but it looks like a great idea. I'm still looking for reviews regarding this service before I make any investment.  Grin

An interesting section appeared on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/#!network

Now we can see how many companies are involved in the diamond network  Smiley

That is a very interesting fact. I have checked the long list and saw many big corporations such as Microsoft. This is very good news as this tells us that Diamond has a very bright future.  Cheesy
