1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you play online casino? if Yes... on: March 08, 2018, 11:50:54 PM
I moved from offline casino to gamble online since the arrival of bitcoin. Though I have not been frequent in offline casino but since the arrival of bitcoin I have been playing often. Its not just about the probability of a fair game but just because with bitcoin I can play as much as I want to without being questioned and most importantly, I don't litter online casinos with my credit card Info's.
1262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple listing on major exchanges? on: March 08, 2018, 10:43:16 PM
Coinbase confirmed through their official Twitter account that ripple won't be listed soon. However, Bitit, a french cryptocurrency marketplace has added ripple alongside bitcoin, bitcoin classic, litecoin, ethereum, and ethereum classic. Do you think that is likely to play a significant role in convincing leading exchanges such as Coinbase to consider listing ripple soon?
Probably it might. Maybe Coinbase  might consider listing Ripple after seeing this news but still yet, this may not change the fact that many people may not consider purchasing Ripple because they see it as a centralized coin. But yet, its still among one of the good coins out there for those whom might want to invest in a coin that seems stable. And also if listed, probably XRP price might go up.
1263  Economy / Economics / Re: surprise 2018 on: March 08, 2018, 09:53:13 PM
I say we are yet to see the main surprises, something tells me there is more to this year that we are yet to see. There might be more dips and it will be lower than the price we are seeing this few months. But it's likely we might begin to see a higher price at the end of this year probably between Nov and Dec. Because I noticed that as the year comes to an end, a lot of people tries to make an investment.
1264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why this panic selling is good on: March 08, 2018, 08:10:52 PM
Exactly, we all should buy more and hold. Whatever issues or ups and downs that we might be passing through now in cryptocurrency is actually a phase that we all will pass through and its just a matter of time. It may not even be the demand flow that is causing the instability in the price of bitcoin probably an internal manipulation that is yet on unknown. Even if Karpeles continue to sell off, bitcoin price will pump soon.
1265  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do not exchange coin on Poloniex if you do not want to wait and "lose money" on: March 07, 2018, 10:41:43 PM
Though, I have an account with Poloniex but I don't have any coins in it. I have always heard they are good but still can confirm because for now I am using Binance. Then main issue now is that I am doubting most exchanges. What I can't seems to tolerate most in exchanges is a bad support. OP, you just have to bear with them cause they might be having thousands of issues to solve everyday. It's hectic.
1266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ❗ Attention Binance users ❗ on: March 07, 2018, 09:28:45 PM
What the fuck! I quickly went to my Binance account now to check and everything seems okay to me. At least the little Ethereum I left there for buying some altcoins are still in tact. But if this news is true, then hell, we can't trust any exchange again. I left Bittrex for Binance hoping things would be better here, now this. Anyway for anyone who cares to listen; do not leave your huge investment in any exchange!
1267  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have an idea, now what? on: March 07, 2018, 04:41:40 PM
Your project idea; it sounds somehow though but I don't want to go into details since that is not you initial question. And YES; you need to get it copyrighted so that no one can take or copy the idea before you start. To make things simple for you, Since you have no money for now, I suggest you should look for an angel investors. Pinch them a bit of your idea, if they like it, they will invest in you and their money will cover all expenses.
1268  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Has anyone got a link to Satoshi's first implementation of Bitcoin? on: March 07, 2018, 10:11:19 AM
A lot of the developers were saying that his original code was very sloppy and that most of his original code were replaced over time. I think the most important thing was that it worked and that tweaking of that code was inevitable.

Unfortunately he abandoned the experiment, when Gavin reported to him that he spoke to the government agencies. I am curious to know what Satoshi is thinking at the moment about all these changes that were done to his original code.  Roll Eyes
I don't think the codes was really tweaked as the claim because if it was, any coder can easily input hidden codes in it. But if truly it was then Satoshi definitely may not like it. Nobody like their original work to be altered without permission even though its for the best. Even if he likes or dislike it, he can't openly come out to say the need since he has remained anonymous in this forum and the whole world.
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Walk of Shame on: March 07, 2018, 05:13:17 AM
That's quite a sad experience. Though I have never experienced it. I guess why I haven't experienced it is because I am an online gambler person. I don't know how people go to offline casino and feel comfortable, the few times I did it, I feel I am been spied on. Though, I have gambled off my feeding and accommodation money online when I started out. Glad I can now control my gambling addiction.
1270  Economy / Economics / Re: The Bank of Nigeria has a great sense of humor on: March 06, 2018, 06:14:07 PM
People in Nigeria who have crypto just need to move from this country. I would do that in their place. Best decision.
Lol...this got me laughing. What an awkward advise. So you advise them to move from their country to where exactly? Having crypto do not guarantee you will make it in the next country you settle. Does it occur to you that their living standard somehow differs from other country? And the rate of1 bitcoin turned to their currency can make them wealthy? Simply, they should ignore their banks and keeps on with cryptos.

1272  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Hacker returns $17M worth of stolen Ethereum on: March 06, 2018, 07:04:45 AM
Perhaps a good hacker trying to prove a vulnerability in the system?
I wish it was it, probably the world would have been a better place.

Maybe there was undisclosed pressure on the attcker.

This was my initial thought but CoinDash never disclosed they pressured the hacker.
BTW, will he still go to jail if he got caught?
This I can't be sure of but I hopes he won't be jailed. He/she returned the coins, so what's the need of going to jail for. The court may probably ask the hacker to pay fine for damages that he/she might have caused when the coins was stolen.

Maybe he wanted to show them that their security system is weak
I doubt this; he/she actually created a duplicate site and stole the coin of investors who didn't know they were in the wrong site.
I appreciate that he can do that.
Exactly. don't know whatever made him/her to do it but I wish all hackers could emulate too.
1273  Economy / Speculation / Re: A tip by Bill Gates: buy Bitcoin on: March 06, 2018, 06:39:38 AM
I personally don't need any popular or influencer person to make a positive comment about an investment before I go into it and same goes for bitcoin,  I went in to bitcoin investment because I see it potentiality. I am a great fan of Bill Gate and I don't know why he may be FUDing bitcoin but I believe in bitcoin future. His view on bitcoin may be personal and moreover, he is already made.
1274  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Struggling bitcoin will double by midyear on: March 05, 2018, 09:17:29 PM
I seriously get tried of following any popular or hardcore crypto investors because most times, they just seems to be predicting the price of bitcoin based on their own personal presumption. Or else they are part of the major manipulators (which we might not know either) I am not following up on their prices anyone. I have high impressions that bitcoin will make high impacts in the future, that is why I am holding.
1275  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is Coinbase a safe wallet ? on: March 05, 2018, 08:29:50 PM
I hear news everyday that people are getting hacked their coinbase account and loss coins. Is it true? Is it safe to keep coins in Coinbase?
Don't know why this thread was bumped but you should consider changing the topic because; Coinbase is not a wallet but an online exchange like binance or Bittrex and can be hacked or phished even though it is highly secured. They can promise security but whatever security measure that should be carried out should be done by you to protect your account. And, never leave your coins in any exchange.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the maximum number of different cryptocurrencies we should invest in? on: March 05, 2018, 06:55:08 PM
The maximum number of the cryptocurrency you should invest in should be determined by any amount you are capable of structuring out for cryptocurrency investment. If you have more for more than three, then you should invest in provided you are certain they will moon when the time comes. Saying that three altcoin should be the maximum seems like you are limiting yourself for what the future holds.
1277  Economy / Economics / Re: CryptoCurrency or CryptoAsset on: March 04, 2018, 11:56:38 PM
Cryptos are suitable for payment at least, that was the main concept that evolves it creation; to create an anonymous payment system. Its just unfortunate that the issues we will be having regard this is the instability price and the probably high transaction fee. But yet, its may not be possible to have a stable price. So its left for the owner to either want to use it as an asset or for making payment online.
1278  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will crypto exchanges be banned/taxed ? on: March 04, 2018, 11:31:32 PM
The greatest thing the government wants now is for any exchange to disappear,( though not all government, at least for those who banned any crypto). The see the exchanges as a competitors to the country local banks but no matter how hard they try, all exchange can not be fully banned. One way or the another, citizens been banned from crypto will still find a way to buy and sell exchange .
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen next? on: March 04, 2018, 11:10:40 PM
i think you will have to move it to your luno wallet so it can be deposited in your bank account, thats one of the process i know
OP can't just move the tokens to a luno wallet just like that, he has to make sure that the token is listed in any or a particular exchange. Usually, the developers of the ICO usually announce the exchange in which it is listed. And even after the listing, token holders may decide to wait for the coin to hit a particular price because the cap market and amount of tokens distributed also determine the price of the coin when listed.
1280  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2017 was maybe the last era of bitcoin? on: March 04, 2018, 04:11:23 PM
If you had been holding since 2013 then you shouldn't be shaking because of the recent dump price of bitcoin. During the year 2015 and so, there was a drastic dip that stayed for almost a year plus yet people still hold till now. If you really are a long time HODLer this recent price unstablitiy should be a normal phase for you. Maybe bitcoin will not see another pump of $20k plus in 2018, but next year might be better.
