CK market watching is very enlightening, people literally putting their money where their mouth is, or should be.

If 'Buy CK' is the new 'Submit 36', what is 'Sell CK' ... or dump CK ...

Just taking a look... how does one buy the "CK" token as per rpietila's suggestion? I see how to deposit XMR and figured out how to buy Gold.

Log-in and go to this page/item https://cryptokingdom.me/marketplace/item/CK

If you look to left and onto the agora marketplace categories, it's also listed on "favorite items" page and "common share" page.
1303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How DASH is stealing investors money - pyramid scheme revealed. on: March 27, 2017, 04:15:29 AM
I will leave this conversation with dash developer here:

Make your own conclusions.
What I see here is a typical pyramid scheme.

1. Make supply unaffordable to buy Masternode.

The 1000 dash a Masternode was set back when it was cheap. When the network demands for more MN's they will lower the headroom and bring the requirement down.

2. Offer shares that are locking customer funds for 60 days.

I am pretty sure there is no lock on the Masternodes. Not sure what you mean by locked up funds

3. Available supply decreases, price goes up.

It's called the free market. Also you got lots of people hoarding every cryptocurrency that is perceived to go up in value and if a crypto took over the global economy the rich would hoard the crypto just like they do current fiat anyway. Seem like an irrelevant point

4. Price attracts more people who buy more and more expensive tokens.

Not a scam, just basic cause and effect that any coin would have

5. Price goes down and they can't take their money out.

My Dash isn't locked

6. Take your profit, pump price once again when it is going down, repeat the scam, before it bursts so not all people are removing funds at once and destroy your scheme.

Haven't convinced me of this doomsday prophecy

My take on your arguments

I've been very good at calling price trends and made major profits buying and selling at the right time so far. My educated guess is Dash will not drop below 70. It might slowly enter the 70's while waiting for evolution but the community has a lot of people seeing the price dip caused by sensationalist weak handed holders as buying opportunities before Evolution. Dash will soar to 500 USD minimum when Evolution comes.

PIVX on Poloniex would leave dash REKT.

1428 Lord Baron smooth (now: HE The Prince of CryptoLuna, ANN missing(!))

"ANN" meaning what?

That there is no post in the history to indicate this promotion, even though there should be. And King is possibly finding the document soon.

I didn't do a promotion for smooth--thought that was you.

Hi. It is some time since I registered (it was when money was free). and I am just totally lost, I want to be rich and happy and don't know what to do. Please help me with ideas etc. I am Eili 1033 in game and live in Stonehaven. I have 27 mil, is it good to invest or what?? Please help. Blessings to all good people in the kingdom (and bad also) <3

CK is a quality investment. It's a share of the game, so if the game does well, the ck price and its dividends will reflect its value. As for other investments, I would watch the markets, learn about the items through players, and figure which are most attractive to you as far as style of play and potential roi.

Hope the first two sentences made an impact. Smiley

even on the dark web

Name a major darkmarket that accepts dash as payment.

After getting some sleep, I was able to figure all of this out. There was a key insight about preventing reply attacks missing from my analysis yesterday, because I tried to work beyond the point of consciousness while in a sleep deprived delirium. Now I see the light. I will elaborate next post.

@rpietila, I've just read your post now and it wasn't part of my epiphany. I ask you to please point me to a summary of your plans and analysis. I don't have time to go digging around. With no disrespect intended, as I remember you bought $100,000 of Bitcoin at $10 and you pumped Monero up to a huge bubble then it sold off. What else have you accomplished of significance that should motivate me want to expend time digging around through all your writings trying to figure out the significance of CK? Don't you have it summarized some where? I'm interested of course, but my time is such a scarce resource. Apologies for the conspiratorial wanderings of my prior post. I think it was due to the delirium and I should have slept first, but I was so curious and didn't want to take a break to sleep. My mistake.

This post and the one that follows it in the thread should give insight into the current move from the game being on the XMR standard and moving to the CK standard: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=819073.msg18325686#msg18325686

What I love about PIVX is the lack of an instamine--I wonder why people keep buying dash when they know only a few people are getting the big pay day. OR maybe, just maybe, the market cap is inflated by those instaminers trading up the price....hmmmm

You need cash to trade UP the price, the instaminers can only trade DOWN the price (unless, they also have a lot of cash)

So you are assuming the instaminers haven't manipulated the market to get cash? Because there's no way they could sell at artificial highs and then dump and then buy at the lower price and then support a new high--I mean that's like impossible or something.

And that's not considering the easy scenario: greater fool enters (let's say his/her name is Wodger Der), keep selling to Der, but be sure not to dump too hard and keep the all time high at a level for more than a week without a dip (because that's natural).

Or better yet, hodl all your instamine stash, collect fees, then buy more masternodes, and since you have a huge monopoly, just let the price rise on factors normal to markets and never sell--you fees go up and you keep getting more nodes and you can control the market price by not lifting a damn finger.

Or better yet, it doesn't matter how it got there, all the instaminers need to do is hodl to keep the price up--it's called limiting the supply. Now, what gets interesting, and was my point, is if a new coin has better features or offers a more fair path to distribution and has the same market focus--do the masternode holders panic or get greedy and go to the next coin? I'm betting they do and Evan and Der will burn their funds trying to fight it, until they can't.

Nothing against DASH, but it's in an epic bubble that's going to correct fairly soon.

There are those that say that Dash just had its correction and that it settled comfortably in the $100 range now.

Time will tell i guess...

When someone tells you that they are "a community manager mainly," your next question should be, "Is there a Dev who can help me, or someone who is more technical?"

You may be right, but your example isn't that telling given the guy or girl's professed status.

I agree, but the reason I said "ever heard of the staking issue i'm having?" was because I was already asking about it in the general and support channel.

OK, and did you find a qualified person to answer? Did you try reddit? Do they have a slack channel? My point is that the person wasn't likely qualified and the availability of technically knowledgeable people doesn't necessarily coincide with the exact moment you have the problem--this is why posting on reddit usually nets a response from a knowledgeable person. The question will have more eyes on it and the time frame is much longer. And again, you may be right, but without more conclusive evidence it seems you are throwing the baby out with the bath water.
1312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PIVX: Who got rich from this? on: March 24, 2017, 06:38:21 AM

How you gunna feel if it hits $14? (Dash parity atm)

Well that will depend on how Decred goes in the same time period.

If PIVX hits $14 but Decred hits $100 (roughly equivalent multiple) then i'll be fine.

If Decred in the same time drops to $1 then I will have made a mistake.

I have been in the Decred slack a couple of days now asking questions here and there, so far I have never been left without an answer to any technical question.

When I had tech issues with my PIVX wallet with Staking (i sent some funds to someone and staking stopped working) all I got from the core team members was "dunno, it does that sometimes, just wait or restart maybe it will work"

From my PERSONAL experience (and others may of course vary) Decred is not heavy on the marketing but good with the code, PIVX dev team are good with the marketing and making fancy graphics, but lacking in technical capability when it comes to the core blockchain software.

Let me know when PIVX fixes their treasury system and i'll go back and take another look but for now its Decred for me.

*edit*

I used quotation marks above that were more of a paraphrase. This is the actual conversation with the PIVX team member regarding wallet staking:

auskipper
9:00 PM
got it
9:00
i take it your not particularly technical member of the team?
jeko
9:00 PM
Community manager mainly
9:01
website of pivx too
auskipper
9:01 PM
ever heard of the staking issue i'm having?
9:01
ie, it was working then stops?
jeko
9:01 PM
That happen sometimes, try to restart computer
auskipper
9:02 PM
ok i'll give that a go
auskipper
9:13 PM
Done, still no joy
jeko
9:14 PM
Mh, sometimes it wont work for some hour, and suddenly working, i don't know why

When someone tells you that they are "a community manager mainly," your next question should be, "Is there a Dev who can help me, or someone who is more technical?"

You may be right, but your example isn't that telling given the guy or girl's professed status.
1313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PIVX: Who got rich from this? on: March 24, 2017, 04:11:42 AM
They have something they call "seesaw" which adjusts the rewards between MN's and those just staking to stop some centralisation issues with Dash IIRC.

I think there are some other nuances but can't recall ATM

Hope you don't mind but I am going to be a little be sarcastic just for making a point. I actually appreciate you sharing the information.

So they blabbered some technobabble BS lies to make everyone think that theirs was different and improved. Yet in reality it is same old worthless shit that isn't going to be used by anybody.

I'm not actually interested in going and figuring out why it is lies, but suffice it to say I've studied so many shitcoins that I can assure you with 98.62345678% certainty that it is BS.

How close it PIVX to implementing zero knowledge protocol? Many have tried. Smiley

So spoetnik's fud first and let god separate them is your new take on research?
1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PIVX: Who got rich from this? on: March 24, 2017, 01:20:07 AM
I made 372k$ from this today alone. Feels like winning the jackpot in casino.

Did you cash out $372,000 in BTC or fiat? Until you do, it is not a realized gain. Is there enough liquidity to cash out.

@thejaytiesto, just when you get jealous and bite, that will be altcoin that goes to 0 and you lose it all. IMO, you can only invest in your convictions. If you believed in a Dash-clone, then you invest. There are apparently professional groups that get together and pump coins. Perhaps @JudgeDredd_ is one of them. Why else would he have invested so much in such a risky altcoin.

I didn't invest in either Dash nor PIVX, because for me the masternode concept is a very flawed technology.

I don't have good advice for how to play in the speculation area. It feels and looks like rolling dice or getting involved in collusion. If our efforts and energies will be expended on those activities, then altcoins will never accomplish anything important.

Actually I'm buying this out of spite for dash and their continual mantra of "No one cares about the instamine." And yes, the staking system will likely create equivalent centralization over time, but I can wait and will move on when that day comes. Until then, it feels real good to put dash's clique of masternode operators into a prisoner's dilemma with each slot PIVX rises on coinmarketcap.com Wink

[WALKTHROUGH/PROPOSAL] Mooo's provably fair IRC Tech-Tree Roll

This is a guide for ADMIN on how to create fast and provably fair outcomes for Technology Tree Events via Moneromooo's development.

Barring any formal disputes as to its use in an in-game outcome, we'll be using it for the Shipwright technology Saturday at 3pm UTC on #ck-d20 in IRC.

1) Use the d-20 to determine if diplomacy is favorable or unfavorable. Since we are in negotiations with Sweden on this matter, we need to determine their mood and a provably fair d-20 roll will determine if the DIFFICULTY is (0 easy, 1 hard) in the Tech Tree command.

First command used will look like this: !d 20

A result of 1-10 will mean the DIFFICULTY will be easy (0) and a result of 11-20 will mean the DIFFICULTY is hard (10) in the Tech Tree command.

2) We need to set the parameters of Tech Tree Command. It currently is set-up like this:

command: !sci MAX SPENT LEVELS DIFFICULTY

MAX is the max SCI that can be spent
SPENT is how much the players spent on it
LEVELS is how many levels the upgrade has, so if you put in 3, then results can go from 0 to 3 (0 -> failed, etc)
DIFFICULTY is from 0 (easy) to 1 (difficult)

For our roll we will use MAX as 5,000 SCI given the Swedes are half the participants and 10,000 SCI is the usual cost if you want the Technology to most likely become available.

For SPENT we will wait to see what the d-20 has to say on the DIFFICULTY.

For LEVELS we will use 4.

0 results in no technology
1 results in Carrack
2 results in Caravel
3 results in Yacht
4 results in Galleon

For DIFFICULTY we will use O or 1 as determined by the previous d-20 roll.

Anyone wishing to participate should GIVE SCI XXXX 1 [Shipwright]

Once the outcome is established, a storyline will be issued using the results to generate the plot. Anyone wishing to use the technology should be aware that the patents will be protected by force and any use should have the appropriate approvals via King. SCI donators will be given special access as their donation dictates.

How is that acceptable? Can they even call themselves a decentralized virtual currency with such a high barrier to enter? They also have 4k masternodes. I find it hard to believe that 4000 different people are at least 100k deep in Dash. Something fishy seems to be going on here if you ask me.

LOL you must be a noob

yes, as of today you need ~100K but you had plenty of time to get it when it was cheap

That's not an argument for anyone to invest, it's an argument for why you should resent these assholes for wanting you to pay a noob fee. So rather than go build a timemachine, I'll go and invest in the coin that offers the same services but has the potential to exponentially increase and not pay you a dime for your instamine.

sure, go with it

i just find pointless for the OP to complain about the current price of a masternode when there was +2 years of time to get one waaay cheaper

The cost in the past highlights its future limitations and underscores how a better product with a fairer distribution may exceed its predecessor.

And let the prisoner's dilemma begin.
