Many people I know in real life still call bitcoin a scam. I think part of their motivation is jealously , they didn't invest in bitcoin early so they want to see it fail. Others stand to lose a lot from bitcoin if the current banking system gets overtaken by cryptocurrency. Just ignore the FUD and HODL

Does this really even matter? The Government will just print more USD to pay for what it wants. The entire system is based off debt, there are more debts in the world than money to pay them all back. The only thing that keeps the USD a global currency is the military force backing it.

OP you make this should much more simple than it really is. Prices are extremely unpredictable and you can lose your shirt trying to day trade btc I'm sure some people can do it successfully but the majority will fail. As suggested above, I would stay away from making trades in USDT. There are many rumours that Tether doesn't have the cash to back up all their printed USDT , so it may very well burst and be exposed someday.

It's nearly impossible for this to ever happen. Even if the price tanked there would always be die hard supporters and enthusiasts mining. The network would still work fine with all these mega companies and their asic farms. I don't think Satoshi envisioned the mining arms race would take off so quickly as he meant for it to be more decentralized with people mining from home.

I stick to exchanges that have low fees and no KYC requirement. I don't really do much day trading because I've gotten burned in the past before trying to predict short term price movements. If I'm feeling confident I may use a small portion of my funds but I wouldn't leave a large amount of crypto on any particular exchange because there is always a chance that they will be hacked.

If you seriously want to learn money online, its going to be a tough road. There is a lot of competition online especially for freelancer jobs, which have a lot of undercutting and people from low minimum wage countries. Depending on your local economy, your much better off workinga job in real life and using your funds to purchase cryptocurrency.

Your luck will always turn around if you play long enough. Everyone goes through losing streaks, it's something you have to expect when you jump into gambling. Try to keep a positive mindset and the wins are bound to return again.

I'm assuming this is why Twitter stock dropped over 25% in price. People didn't realize how heavily Twitter is infested with bots. Bot programs are so advanced nowadays that most of them probably go undetected. Most of the twitter bounty hunters are likely just tweeting to mostly bots and fake accounts that go undetected.

I agree that the high price of bitcoin scares off a lot of new investors. I think they are more comfortable psychologically paying a smaller price per coin even if it's a microbit. Maybe coinmarketcap will list bitcoin as mBTC one day if it gains enough adoption. As others have stated many gambling sites use mbtc as their default.

A lot of negative people criticizing the state of the crypto market. We are at 7k a bitcoin, that is a massive amount compared to a few years ago. We should be more optimistic about how far bitcoin has come and not be crying about the drop from 20k.

You'll make a lot more money if you learn an actual skill instead of chasing scam airdrops. Most of these "airdrops" exist solely to steal your personal information. Don't be greedy and stupid and you won't end up getting hacked. You won't just get handed free money, it doesn't work like that. There is always some type of motive behind these projects.

I think Wall Street is quite jealous of how much money these large crypto exchanges are making. They are pulling in easy billions while Wall Street is still on the sidelines waiting to join. These guys wont pass up on easy money so expect them to flood this space over the next few years.

People like Ver are no longer relevant to the bitcoin because they have long abandoned the real bitcoin to have their own altcoin. How would you buy bitcoin.org and advertise something other than BTC?
Even though Ver is a traitor you have to appreciate what he did to make bitcoin more mainstream and widely accepted. Roger Ver was one of the first online vendors to accept bitcoin as a form of payment. I'm curious if Ver still holds a large amount of bitcoin just in case Bitcoin Cash ends up failing.

@Wafflemaster I'd rather not get involved but why not spend your time doing something more productive instead of continually throwing a tantrum against Jeremy and Sportsbet. You could have already made more money if you spent your time wisely instead of seeking revenge. Just move on man........

I've been watching some poker tournaments with Antonius, Negreanu and Cates lately. Most of the time the person with better combination actually wins, but there occur some great bluffs from time to time as well. Do you think it is better to fold if you don't have at least one high card in a pair or two cards of the same suit? Is it worth to try out overbetting tricks when you really have shitty cards? When I tried playing poker, overbetting usually made me fold, because it is a hard psychological attack for me and I am not the kind of a person that is willing to risk a lot. But I am bad at poker. What is your opinion on this matter?
You will never win in the long run if you only play with your good cards, Poker is about to read your opponents. The guys you mention above, they are expert on this, that is why they after 10 years still are among the best players in the world I don't play much poker myself but I do enjoy watching it. It's quite frustrating when people dismiss poker as just a game of luck. Well, it' no coincidence that the same group of players keep winning. Poker is a psychological game won by people with a strong mind. Some amateur can get lucky in a few games but over the long run, the same professionals win the majority of tournaments.

Everyday we are persuaded with advertisements on what to buy, advice on how to live, and propaganda to influence our decisions. Ultimately the choices fall on ourselves. It's easy to blame others but I think we need to take responsibility for ourselves.
As long as it's not malicious, I see no problem convincing someone to have a good time even if a small percentage might see it as unethical.

Why do people invest in ICOs? Which factors matter most? We (Trier University, GER and Erasmus University, NL) are currently conducting a survey to answer these questions (and more) in an empirical fashion. If you ever invested in an ICO, please help us by answering the following survey: https://www.unipark.de/uc/ICOs/ THANK YOU! Investing in ICOs gives you the chance of extremely high gains. However with ICOs, the risk of losing your money is immense. For every spectacular project there are 90 others that will fail miserably or end up being total scams. I would only use a very small portion of my funds to invest in these type of high risk investments which are essentially gambling.

The sad truth is most rich people make money off the labor of poor people. Working hard isn't enough to make yourself rich. Some of the hardest working people on this planet are dirt poor. you need to have a creative idea, invest, or start your own business if you want to become wealthy.
for some people it's never enough. Jeff Bezos could of called it quits a decade ago but he keeps striving to build Amazon into the world's largest company. With rich people you either have the workaholics like Bezos, or the people who are lazy and solely make money off dividends and interest.

It's easy to get frustrated as a customer but pretend you own a casino for a moment. As a owner you have to deal with a multitude of problems, angry customers, cheaters, etc. It can be quite overwhelming to run a casino with all the responsibilities of customer service that goes alongside operations. It's important to have patience and a sense of understanding from their point of view.
