1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar world cup Final Predictions on: January 09, 2023, 04:50:36 PM
~snip~
Indeed, there have been many articles released saying that Ronaldo played in the last World Cup at the Qatar World Cup because remembering that Ronaldo himself is old and it is impossible to be able to participate in the upcoming World Cup.
In terms of his playing in the Qatar World Cup yesterday, he started to look less good and his skills started to decrease.
I am also sure that in the future Portugal will also have new football players who are reliable and can bring Portugal to compete in the upcoming World Cup.

Yeah, Cristiano Ronaldo playing now in Saudi Arabia was a bit like him retiring from football.

There's nowhere near the level of competition he's used to in his previous clubs, so he will no longer be playing at the highest levels.

Even if he plays the next world cup, he won't be in the best shape.

Even if Ronaldo will still be in active football till the next World Cup, Portugal will not field him to play active role in the world cup. They may take him along incase they will be able to win the World Cup and Ronaldo will have it added to his profile.
Ronaldo has given us his best in football and I must confess he is among the greatest that football has produced.
Now let us enjoy his brand and influence.

I believe Manchester United are desperately in need of a natural striker who can fill in the number 9 position or departed Ronaldo. Choulo-Moting might not be the perfect option for that position in the long run but at the moment he can fill in until the end of the season and add strength to Manchester United's attack. As long as he can be converting chances and scoring goals I think he wouldn't be a bad signing in the main time.

He is not even getting that regular spot so far. Its either Martial up front with Rashford playing behind him or Rashford up front followed by 3 attacking midfielders. So far, the last news was that they are still targeting Cody Gakpo though but I dont think they'll going to be able to sign him and there isnt that many options left for January transfer

Rashford has really stepped up his game, it is remaining Martial to do so. Rashford can operate from either wings and be very dangerous and not as a top 9.
Martial who is better as top 9 is not showing enough strength and consistency, that is why Manchester United needs a good striker to fill that gap.
I don't know know why you still mention Gakpo who is no longer available in the market. Moting is not a bad player but I don't know if Erik Ten Hag will like him and his playing style.

But actually, right after Tuchel was replaced by Graham Potter, we could see that Chelsea had improved quite a bit. 9 matches without defeat but only 3 draws and 6 wins. However, after Chelsea lost to Brighton, it seems that Chelsea's performance since then has really gotten worse. It was as if there was another problem within the club. Of course we know that Chelsea is lacking superior players. But it shouldn't be as bad as it is now. At least in the next game Chelsea will face Fullham. and I hope Chelsea can return to show their best performance in the match later.
The coaching transition always occur in that manner if you observe it. The old coaching philosophy wears out with time/games and the new coaching pattern sets in. Most of the time it is not immediate since new players are not brought in. Besides, Tuchel is not doing that bad when he left.
I support that Potter needs some time in Chelsea to do well. He could be among the best coaches in England if given enough time to with a preseason and arrange his team.
He also need every players to be available for his selection but the pressure of sack that always threatens Chelsea coaches will not let him think well and implement his plan.
Chelsea and Potter is the face of media now which is not a good thing for him.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 07, 2023, 09:11:30 PM
Saturday's transfer gossip:

Barcelona and Netherlands forward Memphis Depay, 28, wants to rejoin Manchester United six years after leaving Old Trafford. It seems to me that Barcelona is giving up a very good player too easily. Is the reason the club's financial debts?
I think it's more to get rid of some players who are not really used at Campnou.
Now Depay's condition at Barcelona is really hanging because he won't be able to do much when Lewandowski is still there so Depay is indeed on the list of sales in this transfer.
On the other hand, were Manchester United really frustrated that they brought Depay back? He's not bad but for the Premier League I think he's going to struggle again in the end.
It will be a bad business for Manchester United if they go for Memphis Depay. His impact may not be felt in the club because the team already has people like Memphis.
Players like Rashford,
Martial,
Sancho,
Elegant,
Ganachor,
Etc
Are all playing the method and role of Depay, why buy him again. Manchester United needs a striker to get goals not a winger.

The world is going down the drain, everything is going from bad to worse. Economic melt down, inflation and recession, war and femine, unemployment, Covid-19, crypto related loses like Luna and FTX.
This is 2023 and Bitcoin chart is not showing any good thing about the year. Who knows it could be worse than 2022.
The price of goods double and triple within weeks and months and nobody is saying anything.
Does it mean that the government is clueless?
1347  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: January 07, 2023, 08:59:10 PM
The biggest obstacle is information.
Getting the right information on how to create wealth is important. Some people have the information and hoard it while some do not have information at all. Some are looking for information and some have information and do not know what to do with it.
Also some are given wrong information.
Information is Power and according to a popular saying "if you are not informed, you will be deformed".

I am a Nigerian but I am not aware of this news. Could I be that my head was occupied by high cost of transportation and high cost of goods and services that I didn't notice the news.
Anyways, the people concerned in this killing are two security operatives.
One is legal which is Nigerian Army and one is illegal, created by a militia group clamouring for independence from Nigerian state.

The story is more than as presented by OP.
This is not Nigerian problem but problem created by a certain group called Ipob
1350  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pele, the greatest footballer of all time is dead at 82 on: January 05, 2023, 10:49:26 PM
Pelé and Maradona are two of the greatest players football has ever had.
It was remarkable that both enjoyed each other very much.
I remember reading his post about Maradona in which Pelé says he would like to play football with Maradona in the sky and now they are together.
They will keep the angels entertained.
It is sad that the football legends and greatests have kicked the bucket. I didn't watch the duo play but their video clips showed that they are wonderful.
Even if there were no much rules like off sides as of them they tried more than their colleagues.
We don't feel too bad because there is Messi and Ronaldo and we are already seeing Neymar, Mbappe etc.
Football never dies

The last time I came here I didn't see this thread moved to our local board. I believed maybe it skipped your memory, I wanted to remind you via pm but I decided to check again and saw it here.
I didn't even know there is a voting concerning it.
Without saying much, here is a perfect place for the thread.
It has served it's function of pre-local board activities and awareness. Now the local board has come, it should take her right place here.

Congratulations too, I noticed your username has changed to igebotz

Finally Manchester City were able to get three points from Chelsea and 1 goal was created by Riyad Mahrez in the 63rd minute a pass from Jack Grealish from the left, I think this is a lucky goal for Manchester City and a mistake at the bottom for Chelsea.
because I saw Chelsea playing quite well especially in the middle of the second half and Chelsea kept trying to score goals to equalize and also played very well but Manchester City's defense was very good making it difficult for Chelsea to score goals.
The results of this score made Manchester City get full points even though they only won narrowly, of course it kept the distance between Manchester City and Arsenal not too far away and also kept Manchester City in second place in the English league standings

Just when I almost believed that Chelsea will share the points with Manchester City that Mahrez said no and got a goal as assisted by Grealish.
It was not an exciting one for me because I wanted Potter's job to be secured. Now he has no much confidence to approach the next match.
But if we will be honest, Chelsea did excellently well against City this night.
1353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 04, 2023, 09:30:30 PM
And it turns out that the Inter milan vs Napoli match was quite fierce. even though Napoli carried out more attacks but Inter's defense was quite sturdy. and hard to penetrate. the first half ended in a 0-0 draw. And if Napoli can hold Inter milan to a draw in this match then at least that will make Napoli unbeaten this season. And if you lose, Ac Milan will get closer to Napoli's points. because the difference in points continues to decrease. So if Napoli wants to stay safe at the top of the standings, then getting a win or a draw is a pretty good thing.

Napoli conceded the first goal of the match at the beginning of the second half. Edin Dzeko scored the goal in the 56th minute of the match. So is Napoli's dominance in Serie A coming to an end? Napoli was undefeated for a long time. And they were at the top of the table. I wouldn't say Napoli's performance was bad today. However, Inter Milan is an experienced team. Napoli should have been more tactical to win against them.

In less than 10mins, Napoli unbeaten run for the past 15 serial A league match will come to an end.
And it is Inter that decided to end the run.
Meanwhile Napoli still has the time to maintain their record just by scoring a goal to equalise the score delivered by Dzeko in the 56th minute.
The 3 attackers that started the match has been substituted apart from Victor Osimehn and I think Napoli is in a very need of a goal to keep their record valid.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 04, 2023, 09:23:34 PM
This is getting more alarming for Conte's Tottenham so I hope to see improved performances against C. Palace tonight. Maybe they are having problems in defense especially but they can still win by starting to be better at finishing.
After Arsenal played Tottenham in the first leg this season where they were totally outplayed by Arsenal, I noticed that Tottenham is a team that their only tactics is counter attack, and if you can manage to stop that they have nothing else to play but rely on luck. I maintain that stance, it is clearly evident now  with their very recent poor results that they have been having. They have struggle this season a lot, and against crystal palace Tottenham will loose even though it is important that they get a win.

I doubt they will lose... The score just got 2-0 in favor of the Spurs and yes, they do need a win and it seems like they will get one tonight. But the stats are about the same, possession is a bit more with Tottenham and they get their attacks, I don't understand what Crystal Palace lacks to score a goal, they have everything...

That is why it is good to have a star man in your team anytime.
Harry Kane has shown why he is the hit man of Tottenham by bring him team 2 goals up even when they are not playing better football than their opponent.
This is not about possessions, it is about 3 points, 1 point or no point.
I now expect Zaha to step up his game and target the goal post and balance the game.

1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 04, 2023, 09:01:49 PM
No top match, I guess Crsytal Palace Vs Spurs would be that game for today's match day live.
The first half in the game has been very lively with both teams having opportunities to score but Crystal palace have had more of the advantage. Three players from the Crystal palace side, Zaha, Olise and Eze have troubled the Tottenham defenders a lot and if not for their Goal keeper, crystal palace would have scored already. Crystal palace played well, maybe the advantage of playing at home has contributed to their performance in the first half. In the second half I expect a better game from Tottenham.
The way the match between Crystal Palace and Tottenham is going is how I expected it to be. I know that the Young guys that attack for Crystal Palace are very dangerous especially Zaha and Eze.

I expected them to terrorise Spurs and get some goal but they have done the damage yet they are not able to score. If care is not taken in the second half Crystal Palace is going to score against Tottenham
1357  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scam alert project @ Zugacoin on: January 03, 2023, 07:34:33 PM
When the coin was created, was it automatically given a value of $287677 or it was below $10 and rose to the ATH above?
The coin was launched on 1st of December 2020. I did not know its price when it was launched, but likely around $46000 before it rose to all-time-high and dumped for investors to lose.

Was there a means for withdrawal?
I mean was it listed in different exchanges or it was a virtual price that couldn't be withdrawn?
I do not know, but was not listed on centralized exchanges when a friend told me about it and asked me about the project more than a year ago, it was listed on a decentralized exchange that are using smart contract. Presently, it is listed on PancakeSwap.

Ok thanks for the yarning.
E show well well say na scam for the zuga man to leave the coin for contract status for long time and e no gree pay money to list am for decentralized exchanges and again e no gree burn the coins wey him go don mint billions keep.
That one na purposeful scam wey our people dey fall for. I for wish make government for dey arrest these scammers one after the other.
1358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if you get a time machine now? on: January 03, 2023, 07:20:40 PM
I just saw many people just writing their thought based on the title. You can do that if you like, but I would suggest reading the whole post first. As mentioned in the post, time machine is not a thing that we have access to. So instead of thinking what you could have done with a time machine, think about what you are going to do now. Buy now or just let it be. Bear market in not permanent and not a bad thing. It's an opportunity.

The title was kind of deceptive  Grin
And it is a trap to know people that doesn't read the body of threads before they comment.
After reading I smiled.
But if there is a time machine, I would like to return when btc was worth $0.45. I mean when the pizza transaction was made.
Maybe someone could  do a business worth 10,000 btc with me Grin

Apart from this one I yarn for up. If you check Naija law sef, e be like under age no dey appear for court apart from the case of murder.
So, how dem go use prosecute the underage voters?
1360  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: January 03, 2023, 06:57:18 PM

No tutor will teach you to lose at the beginning. of course, they will teach you to win otherwise you wouldn't pay them anymore as a mentor.
What strategy that the mentor taught may not work all the time as the market changes.

I bought a tutorial video online back in the days when the tutor teaches a strategy that works mostly on the Forex market. I applied it all the time and then I lose. This is when he says, it's now up to me to learn from the loss. Eventually, they will release you to the wild where you are on your own and you trade by yourself.

A good teacher or mentor is assumed to have lost in the past and know the causes of their lost, Learnt from experience and now want to help newbies avoid losses.
Just like OP didn't have a mentor and lost for almost 3years. If he wants to mentor someone, he must have known the does and the don't and won't allow his subjects lose money.

It is good we learn from a mentor, we shouldn't underrate mentorship.
