1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A check on your wallet on daily basis can earn you some dollar on: July 05, 2023, 09:30:27 AM
It's a good deal for one to check his/her wallet at least once in a day. This will help you to control the funds in your wallet. Old token may do good within minute, one can take such advantage to make good cash out of such forgotten token.
This is not a wise advice, because it is impossible to browse the wallet every minute, and it is difficult for the time of your browsing the wallet to coincide with the time of the currency’s rise, given that the rise of such currencies is fast and does not last for more than a quarter of an hour, even if you activate the notification and you are lucky to be connected when that currency rises It may take some time before you can sell it.

Such tokens are not suitable for long-term storage, and therefore withdrawing them to the wallet is not a smart idea. Trade them with a trading bot so that it sells as soon as the currency reaches a certain price, and then you will not need to check the wallet continuously.

The only problem is that such bots work in central exchanges and the exchange may be hacked, but the chance of hacking is less than the chance that you will be able to deposit it in a timely manner.
1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Irony of Bitcoin Cash's Rise on: July 05, 2023, 09:16:05 AM
Bitcoin Cash was created to be the everyday man’s money for small purchases.  It’s now ironically rising because large financial players are getting regulatory approval to trade it with clearing house custody for institutional trading only.  Is it an ironic twist of fate for the coin that exists to defy and free mankind from the chains of the Federal Reserve, to rise off regulators approving it over it’s competitors?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8H1LCzPcWk

I did not hear anyone referring to Bitcoin Cash with the description. BCH hardfork was mainly to increase the sizes of the blocks and thus to reduce transaction fees and make them faster by confirming them in an average of less than 10 minutes due to the large size of the block, but there were no promises to use it for daily transactions, but rather a promise of a faster currency and less fees compared to in bitcoin.

It is true that Bitcoin Cash fees are lower, but this is because the blocks are mined empty. If Bitcoin Cash is tested at the same rate as Bitcoin, it will fail as the large block size will facilitate double spending and will not reduce the fees because it is not a solution to the problem.

1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Return Of Terra Luna Classic on: July 05, 2023, 08:50:30 AM
History teaches us that any currency that went through a hard fork, the resulting fork will be worse. Look at what happened with Bitcoin Cash, at first they performed well and soon their value became closer to zero.
Terra Luna had a problem that led to the collapse of the price, and therefore all the resulting forks will be worse because they are cosmetic solutions to a basic problem that the currency suffered from, and therefore the best investment you will get is that you will get a good profit in the short term, and a big loss in the long term, and we are here talking about the best scenario .
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield farming vs Staking on: July 02, 2023, 03:04:18 PM
Staking involves locking your coins in a validator node that secures a proof-of-stake network, but also requires you to follow the network rules, stake for a minimum period, and accept lower returns. The best option depends on your risk appetite, time horizon, and coin preference.
Not necessarily, in the Cardano cryptocurrency all you had to do was not to spend from your wallet address where you have full access to your coin and you can at any moment send coins from your wallet, so if crypto is based on true proof of stake, you may not need to lock your coins while you need it in Yield farming.
In short, staking provides more dynamic and security for your currencies than yield farming.
1365  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will fall or rise? $30400 the recent price on: July 02, 2023, 02:36:41 PM
Based on what I read from the comments above, I find everyone looking for the last hot topic and then dropping its impact on the price, either up or down. The SEC decisions were not new, and the discussion about them will disappear as soon as the upload is made, and it will return again with a new Bitcoin ETF, so predicting the price based on it will not lead to to the correct end.

What controls the price now is the weekly supply and demand more than the sec because the price guesses the rise before it occurs, and therefore I still see that the decline is the likely possibility.
1366  Other / Meta / Re: Can someone please tell me what happened with all these dead image links of old? on: July 02, 2023, 02:16:32 PM
I can click on a quote on any topic and I will get the link to the image and then open it in any browser, but the problem is with closed threads where I can't quote anything.
If imgur continues to host the images without deleting them, then without using any script, the problem will be in locked threads only, and these threads can activate the quote in the future.
1367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Less than 300 days left to halving - price predictions for The Day? on: July 02, 2023, 01:43:53 PM

How much do you think BTC will be on the Halving day?
The halving does not change the price with an instantaneous effect. It is not a linear function or a mathematical equation. When one of the parties changes in it, the other party changes directly. Rather, there are many variables, and halving is one of them, but its effect is in the long term, not the short one. Therefore, after halving in several months, until we see the effect, this effect will not appear. Within a day, two days, not even a month, two months.

Therefore, the price is normal or 5% higher than the price during the past month, and I expect it to be in a range between $35,000 and $42,000.

You can see that after every halving bitcoin is taking longer to rise.

1368  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need a book recommendation on: July 02, 2023, 01:14:27 PM
1. Binance Academy

I strongly recommend staying away from reading Binance Academy for beginners, as it is basically an encyclopedia for anyone who wants to increase their information about something without going into details or knowing it in depth, which is something different as @op wants to learn the details and start his journey to learn trading properly, and therefore Binance Academy is not a place fit him.

How to day trade for a living is a book for active trading which is L2 after you learn trading basics.
1369  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: IMF calls for the regulation of cryptocurrency on: July 02, 2023, 01:09:29 PM
The IMF is a centralized institution, so they are not going to support a decentralized network, they want financial activities to be under the control of a central authority, but since BTC can't be under the control of any authority, they are going to try and promote their cbdc over it and talk of regulations for crypto.

IMF is not a state, but rather a fund, as long as the parties inside the fund agree to the proposal of Bitcoin as its knowledge and the two lending parties agree, so there is no objection to that, but this fund is directed to the policies of capitalism, and therefore it is unlikely that it will predict Bitcoin unless countries adopt Bitcoin.
You do not have to think about it in terms of a centralized and decentralized currency, but rather there is a lot of openness to the use of bitcoin in international trade if the concept of globalization diminishes and many countries try to move away from the dollar.

On a related note, the probability that the IMF will provide loans in Bitcoin is higher than that Bitcoin will be accepted as legal tender in the United States of America.
1370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need a book recommendation on: July 02, 2023, 12:48:46 PM
I do not advise you to read a book only to master trading, as trading is based on experiences, experience and psychological factors more than just a person reading a book, and therefore creating a demo account and learning the basics of technical indicators while following the news and controlling emotions is much more important than reading a book, which may not be updated according to the course the price.

1371  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why MicroStrategy can buy BTC but not other institutions? on: July 01, 2023, 03:44:12 PM
If I understood it correctly spot BTC ETF will allow institutional investors to but BTC, and hence a lot of people waiting spot BTC ETF to be approved. But then how come MicroStrategy is already heavily invested in BTC? Why they can buy it, while other institutional investors waiting for ETF?
MicroStrategy currently work as ETF proxy it is a good option for those who want to invest in Bitcoin indirectly and do not want to be directly exposed to Bitcoin and keep it in his portfolio, as he holds MicroStrategy shares aka MSTR, which do not invest in anything other than Bitcoin, and therefore it is as if he is investing in Bitcoin through a third party.

If the ETF is approved, this is a problem for MicroStrategy as it has lost its only advantage and they may stop buying.
this apply to GBTC

Be warned about the risky situation of Microstrategy.
Everyone is looking at Microstrategy as an "ETF proxy".
They are buying a lot of BTC, and investors have flocked to MSTR because of that.
In case of an ETF approval, Microstrategy would lose all those investors, as the ETF is such a more efficient way of holding BTC.
In case you want to bet on ETF approval: Long GBTC, short MSTR!

1372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which one of this is important most? on: July 01, 2023, 03:31:20 PM
Both of them work in two different directions. The trust represents the commercial record of the account activities, and based on it, it is reliable to provide this service, otherwise it will need a reliable third party to act as escrow, and therefore it will pay additional fees, and the whole process will be slow.
Merit is a measure of the quality of posts in the sense that a member who creates many posts without getting a merit means that those posts may be spammer, so it is to prove that the user does not normally posting spam and therefore it is used as one of the criteria for selecting people for signature campaigns. you can be zero merit, highly trusted, and vice versa.
1373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will fall or rise? $30400 the recent price on: July 01, 2023, 02:47:24 PM
Regardless of the news related to the SEC, which does not seem related to the price from my point of view, Bitcoin is testing the resistance point at $31.4K, and since the price has failed to break it several times, this means that we will return to test the resistance point at $26K if trading volume getting down from current levels. Trading volume is still good, and therefore I expect that we will test the $31.4k for two more times before we either go all the way to $35k and consider that we may not see the price below $30k again, or retest $26k and bounce from it.

If we don't get 35K before the next Fed meeting, we'll go back to +26k.
1374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The price dropping, any reason the huge dump? on: July 01, 2023, 02:36:20 PM
The price of bitcoin is dropping just this afternoon with more than $2k from the opening of $31k today. The huge dump is still going on, so anybody knows what is happening with the dump?
The price decreased from 31K to 30.5K, and even if it was 2k down, the rate of change is less than 1%. This is if we ignore that the price was in the range of 26k a few days ago and less than 18k within a few months.

we cant say it is a huge dump. Bitcoin does not need a reason to move within 5%, which is a normal price change.

Is this a sign to end the second quarter on a bear?
We have strong resistance at $32,000 and strong support at $26,000, as we will test these levels several times before the price is above $40,000.

1375  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 400$ Loan defaulted by [Yabes] on: July 01, 2023, 02:15:44 PM
I hope that you will be able to recover your money, but with the absence of guarantees in such services in the forum, it is better to stop providing loans until there is a way to reduce such scam.
This only proves how risky the loan business is here in Bitcointalk, some members will gain your trust first until they establish that and then they go with a big amount but we can never tell if he shows up with a valid excuse and pays what he owed to Shasan, I hope that's what going to happen.
In the past, accounts were taken as collateral, and then the account was sold if the second party failed to pay, but I do not think that reactivating this rule would be beneficial for the forum as it would promote the purchase of accounts and might promote spam.
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: U.k Approves Cryptocurrency As A Regulated financial Activity. on: July 01, 2023, 01:22:48 AM
I do not expect anything new to happen soon. We still have runaway inflation in Britain, and the government will not facilitate investment methods for citizens in high-risk investments that are not guaranteed. The results could lead them to lose their money and increase discontent against governments, and everything may change in the coming years, especially if it returns. inflation to normal levels.
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy BNB? on: June 30, 2023, 03:54:46 AM
BNB was not created to be an investmvnt currency, but rather its work as utility token, and based on this definition, even Binance does not recommend buying it as an investment, but you can speculate on its price because it represents a reflection of trading volumes in Binance. If you think that these volumes will increase soon, invest in it in the short term and sell as soon as to make gains.

Quote
A utility token is a crypto token designed to perform a specific action within the blockchain of a certain project. Different digital tokens have a wide variety of different use cases, depending on the specific ecosystem they operate in and what they were designed for.

Now is a good time to buy BNB because Binance do not seem to be in an excellent position, but I doubt that they will make a good profit during the current or next year.
1378  Economy / Economics / Re: Ruto Calls for a new financial architecture on: June 30, 2023, 03:14:56 AM
Differentiate between IMF and the World Bank, as both work for a different goal than the other, but people still confuse them.
The policies of the International Monetary Fund based on financing and repaying loans to them put pressure on governments to carry out financial reforms that increase pressure on citizens and increase inflation in the short term. To which IMF provided loans, which increased their debts and deepened their problem. solution may not be in financing and finding alternativesفخ IMF but rother that IMF stop determining the mechanism for recovering money and austerity policies, which have proven their failure in some countries, and that the description of the economic solution is different according to the state, and it is not one palicy for all.
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: North Carolina is pushing forward a bill to study holding Bitcoin on: June 30, 2023, 03:10:18 AM
Isn't it necessary for Bitcoin to be considered a legal tender in the country before thinking about keeping Bitcoin as a reserve, or do laws in the United States allow governments to keep commodities as reserves? The countries that will adopt Bitcoin will increase in the coming years, but I do not expect that Bitcoin will be on this list during the next 50 years, and perhaps it will be the last country to consider Bitcoin as a reserve currency next to the dollar.
1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield farming vs Staking on: June 30, 2023, 01:52:29 AM
I've came across "yield farming" which looks quite similar to staking. You basically go on a "hunt" for "De-Fi" platforms which offer the best rates for your stablecoin (or token) holdings. This is done in a non-custodial manner through the use of smart contracts. On staking, I can basically "delegate" my coins to a validator and earn daily income.
The main difference is that in yield farming, the money must leave your wallet, whether by sending it to a third party or closing it in a smart contract, where this money is used as a loan and this loan gives a return, while in staking the coins may not leave your wallet as keeping the coins at an address enables you to be validator and get the transaction fee or variable return according to the network completely in Cardano.

Yield farming is very risky because it is a loan and there are no guarantees of getting your money back,  you are taking risks in return for promises of achieving a return. These promises may not be fulfilled while staking is less risky but less return, and the higher the return from the currency, the lower in USD.

Yield farming can be hacked or bankruptcy while in staking token value can go down.
