What cards do you have and what is your best rates you get from them? R9 380s... about 25 mh/s. I would increase your gpu-engine. Mem-clock doesn't matter too much with this hashing algo. Underclocking memory might actually help with heat. You may also want to set gpu-powertune if you increase the engine. 25Mh/s still seems low for r9 380. My thoughts exactly. Miners aren't optimized for tonga architecture yet...maybe they will never be. If you have any thoughts as to what I can do to boost this, I'm all ears |

Is anyone still having windows issues? the latest builds by dragos have been working like a charm today....
I'll check it out when I get home from work. The last one crashed every time I tried to launch it....even when I launched it over and over again. Maybe it's a Windows 10 issue? |

Well, I think I've found the sweet spot for the Gigabyte R9 270 OC edition. The drivers suggested in this thread have done nothing but made the miner crash with the exception of the singular 14.9 amd_opencl64.dll (which I'm leaving in there just cause).
Using GPU-z to match "gpu-engine" : "975", "gpu-memclock" : "1400" and "gpu-shaders" : "1280" and lowering "intensity" : "21" with all other values default, the miner runs at 16.2MH/s with a variance of +-0.1
I'm ready to move onto the 780ti now.. This should be interesting.. xD

Which driver, version really does matter. You can add the dll's to the same folder as the miner to save re-installing drivers. I did add the dll's to the same folder as the miner... i dunno about what version, it's late, and I've been drinking lol Whatever the newest driver for windows 10 is. |

I've played with thread concurrency, threads, worksize, etc... to no avail. Stuck at 50 mh/s with 2 R9 380's. Maybe it's the best they've got |

on the advice of a fellow more wizened coder, i am studying OP_RETURN and trying to figure out how each BN can use it to 1) Register itself on the chain 2) Sign Blocks This will take some time and some doing but seems far more cryptographically accurate that just a look up of previous blocks. The final decision will be made based on 1) Complexity 2) Security 3) Computational cost For now i'll tentatively say that we are likely to institute the changes in two weeks. For now there is an update incoming (next few hours ) that should finally settle bid payouts. Because p2pool is not respecting payout blocks , i am working on a new rule that will ensure that they are respected by the network Keep it up; I'm rooting for you man |

it will suck a lot of power...I was mining with 5 280x back in the day with 4 computers until the wife had about enough of the noise and made me scale down. But should be a nice gaming rig. Yes it will be a power sucker... I hope 1050W is enough. SeaSonic makes excellent PSU's though. I'm most excited about getting an AMD chip again... I used to be such a fanboy back in the day before intel started crushing them. Always nice to get a new system. Are you going to run windows 10 or something else? Bought 8.1 but it has a free upgrade to 10 if I want... Not really that keen on change I'm a creature of habit. Did u sell ur old 280x rigs? |
