141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prove me wrong: Gambling is both more relaxing and entertaining than trading! on: December 16, 2023, 06:19:52 PM
Well, I have to agree with your own point of view OP.  Gambling is designed for fun and entertainment so it's way more relaxing on our part gambling compared to trading. Gambling gives us the opportunity to play exciting games and enjoy them, while trading focuses more on mental activities that promotes development of skills and working strategies that makes it more boring and tiring and somehow challenging on some reputable traders.

Despite of the differences, trading remains more profitable for me and gives more satisfying profits. Unlike gambling, you have to accept the fact that to gamble is to lose, that way you will find it more entertaining and profitable at some point.

143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice for my fellow Newbie on: December 16, 2023, 02:01:11 PM
The truth is that there's no easy way through it concerning merits, just click the beginners board all I could see is merely post concerning merit. Is like you guys are forgetting the purpose of this great forum it was created for Bitcoiners or cryptocurrencies lovers to interact and to gain more knowledge about cryptocurrencies. You guys should hold from the merit and focus on learning because if you continue with this getting of merit quick it may lead you to spamming which can affect any chance of you getting any merit. Just focus on the knowledge the forum already have for you with time eventually we will all Rank up. Those higher rank you're now where ones newbie they where patients enough to learn.
Newbies nowadays are actually chasing for quick merits, when they are not yet capable because they mostly lack the knowledge that makes them a good, quality poster. Instead, they should do more diligence to study and learn that connects to crypto and bitcoin. Patience and persistency are the keys,  without these they will never rank up and increase their knowledge in the forum.

We should always prioritize acquiring knowledge and learning more than chasing for merits and profits. At the end of the day, that would be our end goal so we should learn to work on it as getting merits is hardly earned not freely given.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 16, 2023, 12:41:56 PM
The terms and conditions of casinos and other companies is usually very lengthy and somehow boring for some people. Hence , many people rarely find time to read them. They may actually contain some of the complaints that people raise about some casinos such requiring KYC if there is need or suspicion of money laundering activities.

What is your take on this?
To be honest, I find it tiring reading all those lengthy post. Although I know I should be aware on that in the first place, but as long as the casino itself is known reputable and has no pile of complaints, I just feel confident to gamble.

But when I started gambling, I make time to read the terms and conditions of every casino I played. Until time comes that I've become a regular gambler, and definitely gets tired of reading almost all the same lengthy post.
145  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quickest way to earn merit? on: December 15, 2023, 09:41:52 PM
I'm new here. What's all about this merit count? How is it earned? I'm assuming it's linked to the quality/usefulness of your posts/replies? Their originality maybe? What are usually the subjects you'd get the more merit for posting about?
There is no quickest way to earn merits, everything is gained through patience and hard work. So don't be too eager to quick profits if you think you are not yet capable to receive merits. Improve the quality of your post first and when you think others have started to appreciate your post, that would be the start then. Continue learning everyday as there's no stopping when it comes to learning in the forum. That way, you will easily get merits when your posts are full of knowledge and reliable experiences.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most gamblers do not believe they can consistently make money, that's why... on: December 15, 2023, 08:26:12 PM
As you've read the thread title, I'll continue the explanation here, as it cannot accommodate additional text. I've come across numerous topics and posts where gamblers express disbelief in the idea of consistently making profit through gambling. It makes me question whether these individuals are truly involved in gambling or if they're posting without the real experiences and knowledge. Personally, I firmly believe that there are people who have achieved real success in gambling. What perplexes me is why many discourage gambling as a means of making money. Instead of outright saying no, they could guide gamblers with the right strategies on how to stay disciplined, enhance skills, minimize the risk of bankruptcy, and increase the chances of winning.

If you're someone who doesn't believe anyone can be profitable in gambling, you might as well consider yourself not welcome in this thread. I'm looking for people who maintain optimism about their chances in gambling so they can share valuable insights.

Now, let's hear your opinion. In 3...2...1... go!
If I don't see gambling as a profitable one, then I should not be gambling in the first place. It's useless to stay on what you're doing when you don't even have faith on it. Those who fail to achieve profits in gambling are clearly not real gamblers, and they don't even know how to win an edge in gambling, most probably they are not patient enough to wait for their luck to favor on them.

Hearing disbeliefs from gamblers are actually normal, most especially for those who have suffered from consistent losses. But if they kept acting that way, I suggest they better stop gambling if they want to live without losses.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: December 15, 2023, 06:11:41 PM
Don't be deceived, not every gamblers who actually claims that they won really won.
Some falsefully speculates that they won just because they want to pave an ease to those who has been advising them to quit or limits gambling simply because the gambler has been unlucky to win instead he keep betting over and over without a good bankroll management in their gambling carriers.
They basically do this because they feels disturbed and inconveniences of the people's opinions and advices towards the gamblers unprofitable gambling experiences
I would believe this if they are only betting on small betting areas or on shady areas that are not legit and reputable. But if they are betting on big and reputable casinos, they cannot trick the casino that they won when they are not just because of their immaturity and negative experiences with gambling. If they think they are not good enough in gambling, then it's better that they should leave immediately than just trying to deceive the people around of their false winnings.

There are really gamblers who have uncontrolled attitudes and behaviors when it comes to gambling. But my point is, if they can't be responsible with their own gambling habit, then they must not be in gambling casinos in the first place.
148  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is it worth a newbie warning flag in this case? on: December 14, 2023, 09:35:05 PM
This method of earning allows you to earn $1000 a day or more

It is a clear case of a scam attempt for which there is no need to give many explanations, but I was thinking if it would be worth creating a flag so that newbies and unregistered forum visitors could see it clearly.

I think it's most likely that after my tag and the responses he got to his thread, he won't be very active here again, but I hesitate to create the flag just in case.

Just pursue creating a flag for him so he will be aware that all our eyes are on him. He can't just fool the newbies and fall on his trap, fool on himself but never do it to others most especially to those who are still new to their investments and have no ideas if he is telling the truth or not. Otherwise, if we let him keep doing that, he might think that the forum members are very easy to deceive, and we don't want that to happen.

Obviously he won't be active here again because he is now caught on his modus operandi.
149  Other / Off-topic / Re: Simple advice, don't get carried away by people success stories. on: December 14, 2023, 08:24:49 PM
You don't know actually if that certain person is telling the truth or just making lies to deceive you. A lot of crypto influencers these days who pretend that they are trading successfully and are making significant profits, but in reality they are never reliable traders but experience a lot of losses than gains. Except for those who are really genuine on their words, but still we cannot guarantee that those who work for them might also work for us. It could even push us to be homeless in the end if we keep forcing ourselves to follow what they're saying.

You can't trust anyone in the crypto market, be it investing or trading. That is the reason why you have to equipped yourself with knowledge, skills and strategies so that you can prepare for all the risks and beat them all by yourself without falling from the traps of other people's words.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 14, 2023, 02:08:52 PM
For people who can't manage deep emotions and are easily fainted, gambling is obviously not meant for them. If they won't committ suicide, they resort into committing crimes, so definitely both are not good for them. And they should avoid gambling at all means to save theirselves from the traps of gambling.

However, if ask if there's amount that makes me think to committ suicide, I think there's none. My life is more precious than any amount of money, and I won't let myself being compromised just because of gambling. Gambling is just for fun, it should not be taken too seriously.

152  Other / Meta / Re: Second chances on: December 13, 2023, 05:55:34 PM
This act reminds me of the pardon granted by the government of my country to prisoners who do not have any hopes of their cases being heard or who have been sentenced for life to gain freedom. I just hope this pardon doesn't get misused though because where you've got the good, there's gonna be the bad but since this is a limited offer, I guess those who have had their accounts banned take this opportunity.

Happy holidays, fam.
Most probably, this is like the most awaited pardon from the prisoners, as they have finally learned their lessons within that years that they are being convicted. Now that second chances is offered, hopefully this will encourage every member in the forum not to go on plagiarism for more effective and impressive posting, having own originality when it comes to sharing and posting of ideas is still the best and safest option. Committing to plagiarism is a big dishonesty, and we all know the forum is totally against it.

Just like you've said, hopefully this will not be misused and abused. We don't know if there's still another second chances will come in the future, or your account might be banned for the rest of your existence.
153  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I become a campaign in manager Signature/Bounty? on: December 13, 2023, 08:13:53 AM
It would be very helpful if newbies to bitcointalk forum could tell me the process of how to start campaign manager because I am going to start campaign manager how should I first start or where can I arrange Signature/Bounty campaign ?
Don't rush to become a campaign manager, but be a participant first so you will be exposed on how a campaign works and how a manager does his tasks and duties to maintain a good and reputable campaign. Having said that, level up on your rank first so you will be qualified to apply for a position in a campaign.

However, to answer your question, be knowledgeable on crypto and the forum itself so you can be an ideal campaign manager. And develop your skills on managing your team because in order for a campaign to last working, the manager should know how to value and appreciate the works of every member and he should serve as a model to his team.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 13, 2023, 06:18:35 AM
Just trying to get the communities opinion based on their experience about the topic.

Personally, a a bettor, I find it very stressful when watching the game you are betting especially if it will end up a losing bet.

If we have the same experience, how do you cope up with that problem, after all, gambling should be fun but why we have this kind of feeling that we feel disappointed when our bet loses?
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logic of some gamblers against math on: December 12, 2023, 09:13:26 PM
Hi guys. Someone will explain to me why gamblers have such a strange logic: if a gambler has received a huge multiplier, then he will not withdraw this money. And he will continue to play, saying, "if I'm so lucky, I'll be lucky again now."
But according to the laws of mathematics, the chance of such luck becomes much less, doesn't it?
That is only applicable to those newbies in gambling who are still not aware on the risks and danger of gambling. They think that once luck is there, it will continue to stay with him until he will experience a big win in the end. But in reality, the opposite thing happens. Once you're lucky and made some significant profits, then it's time to withdraw and go home immediately, otherwise playing more will only make you lose your winning profits.

It takes various experiences first so that these newbies will learn their lesson. But for now, let them gamble on their own and encounter winnings and losses, they will come to see the realities in gambling when they experience losing a lot which I think is very possible with gambling.
156  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which amount of money is good for me to spend on DCA? on: December 11, 2023, 09:58:27 PM
Spending 100 euros for DCA every week may be sufficient enough, as long as you know the risk of your investment and you are investing the amount you can manage to lose. Otherwise, you will only regret putting that amount if you think you are not ready to lose your money. DCA does no matter on the amount being invested, but it's always on the consistency of your action, on how often you do it. So if you find that amount not an issue to you, so continue doing DCA with your weekly budget.

Any small amount will do with DCA. At the end of the day, after years of long term hodling, your investment from small amount is not small anymore, but big and massive like everyone's dream of owning.

158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 10, 2023, 01:11:51 AM
Going with Lakers ML tonight and not just because LeBron is playing amazingly at his age but because Lakers do have something to prove this year and In-Season Tournament seems like the best opportunity for them to do that.

Odds fresh @ 1.57 because I'm really not so good when I bet on NBA even if I watch it quite a lot weekly so I prefer to go with a "safer' route.Grin
I'm looking for the upset and took Pacers +4. I think the young kids are going to bring the energy and make it a game at the very least. I do not expect a blowout like the Lakers did to New Orleans.

If you believe they'll upset the Lakers, go with the moneyline.  Smiley

Actually I did take the ML with 2.50 odds, but I understand you want a safer route, your choice... As for me, I took a higher risk but expecting a bigger reward. I'm willing to risk money trusting my guy to win this, young hungry and really good.

Go Hali!
